Effective communication is important in daily life. It doesn't only consist of voice and sounds, but it also includes all tools of communication like gestures, hearing aids, reading, writing, drawing, etc. This simply means that to express information, the person can use different methods, which can be either verbal(言语的),nonverbal, written or visual.
Verbal communication involves words, sounds, language and speaking. People with good verbal communication are said to be influential speakers. This is also the skill most needed in oration(演说) and debates during class. The individual who has an excellent verbal skill isn't necessarily talkative but rather selective in his words. He knows how to speak the right group of words at the right time.
Nonverbal type is the one that needs the eyes to listen. This is used for educating the deaf and the mute. The nonverbal talk is the most effective with the use of facial expressions and sign language. The dancers are said to be bles sed with nonverbal delivery because they can convey their messages through their actions.
Written communication is the third classification in this group. The writers are trained to be good writers. This ability is used for electronic mails, advertisements, traditional post, and of course books. Without the skill in writing,Shakespeare could have never made the book of Romeo and Juliet.
The last form of communication is visual. The effectiveness of this communication is the combination of colours, styles, lines and points of the overall picture. The architects and painters are good with visual communication.
An individual may be good in written communication but poor in the verbal kind and vice versa. What is important is to deliver the right message. So if the person is speechless,he can select his voice from the four types of communication.
