• So what are the crazy talks all about? We’ve all heard these doomsday predictions before. But the day has passed. We’re still here, and the planet is still here. Why is the day so important? Well, it is the Mayan calendar that stops at the end of the year 2012. It‘s just the end of the cycle and the beginning of a new one. It’s just like on Dec. 31st, our calendar comes to an end but a new calendar for the next year begins on Jan. 1st.
• An opinion is what someone believes is true but has not been proved or difficult to prove.
Remember them and be critical!

The rest of us will work in pairs to guess which statement is the lie and which is the truth.
