The aim of the course:
1. Make the students grasp new words of this unit “radio, photo, camera, newspaper, smile”
2. Make the students grasp the present continuous.
初步了解现在进行时的肯定形式:She’s ---ing. He’s ---ing.
3. 掌握进行时,能说简单的句子,加深对英语的兴趣。

The difficult of the teaching:
She’s listening to the radio. He’s playing with his train.

CD-Rom teaching cards
The design of the course:
1. Warm –up
Follow me TPR 活动, review the important verbs
read book, watch TV, play football, sing, dance, and listen to the CDs etc.

2. Free talk:
What do you do at the weekend?
What does she/he do at the weekend?
You ________at the weekend.
But I’m ______ing now. (边做边说)
通过句群给学生讲解现在进行时表示正在发生的事情
Let Ss make new sentences and do actions.
3. Practice in pairs.
反馈时,引导出 He/ She's ______ing .
Let somebody do actions, Ss say “He/She’s ____ing.
New words
T: What am I doing? Ss: Reading. T: Yes, I’m reading a newspaper. ( 以实物呈现) learn newspaper.
Listen to the CDs-----listen to the radio. learn radio(以卡片呈现)
Show a photo. Introduce this photo. Learn photo
Using photo make some new sentences.
Point teaching picture and ask: Who’s this/ that? This / That is Sam’s father/mother. 强调对图片上的人物进行介绍时,用this or that, 而不是he or she.
Show some cartoon pictures, let Ss introduce them.
You are very clever, so I want to take some photos for you. This is my camera. Learn camera. If you want to a nice picture, you should give me a smile face. (边说边在黑板上画一个笑脸) learn smile.
Make some games, review the new words.

4. Learn the dialogue.
1)Play the CD-Rom, 播放CD-ROOM,让学生了解整篇对话
2) Ask and answer
What is Sam’s mother doing?
What is Sam’s father doing?
What’s Tom dong?
再次播放CD-ROOM,学生边看边重复。

Read the dialogue together.
5. Summery:
Homework:
Listen to the tape 3 times, and repeat 3 times.
Copy the new words 4 times and translate twice.
Know all the words they have learned.
