形容词短语是指由几个形容词或形容词及其修饰语构的短语，通常在句中作定语或者表语。

85. most of大半的
用法：most of可以修饰有定冠词的名词，注意与most的区别，most后面直接跟名词。

例句：So I think most of us would be discouraged if we had to face challenges and difficulties like that. (托福)
我觉得，我们中的大多数人遭遇类似的挑战和困难时，都会气馁的。

结构分析：So是状语，I是主语，think是谓语，most of us would be discouraged是宾语从句，其中most of us是从句的主语，would be discouraged是从句的谓语， if引导条件状语从句， we是主语， had to face是谓语（had to是情态动词，后面接动词原形），challenges and difficulties like that是宾语，其中like that是后置
86. of great importance有重要意义，十分重要
用法：of great importance在句中作表语，相当于important。

例句：Agreements signed by representatives of various countries are of great importance for environmental protection.
他试图向我们证明这个小机器是有用的。

87. of help有帮助的，有用的
用法：of help与helpful同义，可以互相转换；of help可以与介词to连用，引出具体对象。

例句：He tried to prove to us that the little machine was of help.
他试图向我们证明这个小机器是有用的。

88. of use有用
用法：of use是一个形容词词组，use前可用great, little等来修饰。

例句：I seems that this liquid is of little use.
这种液体看起来几乎没有什么用处。
