The Bad Driver
课前:
在上课前已经把一个32人的班分成了8小组,叫做jigsaw group,把一篇长故事分成四部分,让每个jigsaw group的四个学生各拿故事的一个部分。
让他们知道待会进入课室后他们将去到expert group里面进行学习,为的是更好的掌握自己的那一部分故事。
在expert group 里面的学生拥有的材料是相同的部分。
学生进入课室,按照expert group 的座位坐好。
准备开始学习。
课中:
T: Good morning, boys and girls.
S:
T: I am your new teacher. I have an English name Kelley. You can know more about me from these pictures.
( ppt呈现我的头像和一些资料的图片,目的是为了引出I can drive a car)
S: You like apples. ….
S: You can drive a car.
T: Yes, I can drive a car but I am a new driver. Last weekend, I went to Dongguan. I was driving very slowly(贴出加粗的单词). (ppt)Suddenly, a car was running very fast and p assed my car. A man in the car was answering the phone. (图片)
Few minutes later, I heard the horn, ba ba ba.. A car was running very fast and passed my car, too. A woman in the car was drinking water.
Boys and girls, Are the man and the woman good drivers or bad drivers?(做手势)S: ….
T: Yes, they are bad drivers. Because while driving a car, answering the phone or drinking water is very dangerous.
( 再读一次贴出来的单词,个别要配合动作或图片horn)
T: In today’s class, we are going to meet other bad drivers. 板书课题The bad driver (要做标题卡)Do you want to know who the bad driver is ?
S:…
T: OK,first in your expert group every one has an envelope, open it and you will see one part of the story and a task sheet. First read the passage silently and finish the exercises on the task sheet. Understand me. If your group need help, please hold up the helping sign. It’s my pleasure to help you. You will have 8 minutes.
(学生在八分钟里默读文短和完成练习)
T: Every one seems to finish reading and the exercises. Now this time, please check
your answers with your group members. If your group is not sure about the answers, you can get some tips from these pink envelop. Understand me. You will have 3 minutes to check the answers.
(学生自行检查练习题的答案)
学生回到jigsaw group开始小组的比赛,评选最优秀的jigsaw group
(营造小组比赛的气氛, where is jigsaw group one, which group is the best )
T: After reading and finishing the exercises, you have know your part of story so well. You have been the expert. Now please go back to your jigsaw group. Well, I will press the horn, when it stops, you should stop moving. Let’s go.
T: OK. This time every group has got the whole story. I have the picture of the story for you. First every group member stick your passage under the right pictures. And then retell your part of story one by one. Understand me. First Stick , then retell. This time you will have 5 minutes.
(学生轮流讲自己的负责的故事)
T: (选择一组,作为呈现)Which group can tell the whole story for us?
T: OK, everyone has known the whole story, please finish the rest exercises on your task sheet. If you need help, you can ask your group members or me. But can you take her answer and copy?
S: No.
T: You will have another 8 minutes.
(学生在互相帮助下完成余下练习纸上的练习,练习是涉及全篇文章的。

T: Can you tell me who is the bad driver? (ppt 呈现图片) the woman or the man, or both of them?

T: Why ? Five minutes to discuss : Why is the man a bad driver? Why is the woman a bad driver? While driving a car, what things we can’t do?

T: Boys and girls, maybe in the future, every one of us will have a car, are you going to be a good driver or a bad driver?
