Recently our class discussed about whether it was necessary for high school students to do voluntary work. There were two different opinions about it.
73% of the students were in favour of the idea. They thought if students volunteered to help others, they could contribute to building a harmonious society. Besides, it could also help students develop a sense of responsibility.
However, 27% of the students didn’t think so. They thought doing voluntary work was useless. First, teenagers were not old enough to do some work. Second, because they had so much homework to do, teenagers often had no time left.
In my opinion, doing voluntary work is good for us because we can get useful experience and a better understanding of society as well.

A lively discussion was held in our class about whether it was better to employ self-study or teamwork study. There were different opinions among students concerning this topic.
55% of them were in favor of self-study. They believed that it could avoid interruptions from others. Besides, it could develop their ability to think independently and they would have a greater sense of achievement if they were successful.
However, 45% of them thought that teamwork study could help create a more enjoyable learning atmosphere and develop the spirit of cooperation.
As far as I’m concerned, both of them have their advantages and disadvantages, so individuals should choose the learning style that they find most suitable.。
