A Sample Script for the First-Year English Campus Broadcast
Good morning everyone I am your host for today's campus broadcast It is my pleasure to welcome all of you to our first English broadcast of the new school year We have an exciting program lined up for you today so let's get started
First up we have a special announcement from the school principal Mr Johnson who has an important message for all first-year students Please give him your full attention
Good morning students as you all know this is the start of a new school year and I would like to take this opportunity to welcome our new first-year students to our campus We are thrilled to have you here and we look forward to supporting you on your academic journey over the next three years
One of the key things I want to emphasize is the importance of actively participating in campus life During your time here you will
have many opportunities to get involved in extracurricular activities clubs and societies These experiences are just as valuable as your classroom learning and I strongly encourage you to make the most of them
In addition I want to remind you all of the high standards we have here at our school in terms of academic performance behavior and community engagement We expect all of our students to work hard to achieve their full potential and to be positive role models for others
To the first-year students I know the transition to high school can be daunting but please know that you have the full support of our teachers and staff We are here to guide you every step of the way so that you can thrive and succeed I wish you all the best for the year ahead and I look forward to seeing you grow and develop into the leaders of tomorrow
Thank you Mr Johnson for that inspiring message Now let's move on to our next segment which is a special interview with one of our star student athletes Jane Doe Jane is a member of our school's varsity basketball team and she has some exciting news to share with us Jane welcome to the show
Thank you it's great to be here I'm really excited to share some news
with all of you As many of you know I've been a member of the varsity basketball team for the past two years and it's been an incredible experience playing at that level
Well I'm thrilled to announce that I've just been selected to represent our school on the regional all-star team This is a huge honor and I can't wait to compete against the best players from other schools in the region
That's fantastic news Jane congratulations on this amazing achievement I'm sure all of our students will join me in wishing you the best of luck As a varsity athlete what advice would you give to our first-year students who are looking to get involved in school sports
That's a great question I would say the most important thing is to just go for it don't be afraid to try out for a team even if you're not sure how your skills compare to the other players The coaches are always looking for dedicated hardworking athletes who are willing to put in the effort
It's also crucial to maintain a balance between your studies and your extracurricular activities I know it can be challenging at times but you have to make sure you're staying on top of your schoolwork while also making time for practice and games
Finally I would encourage all of you to embrace the team aspect of sports It's not just about individual performance but about working together towards a common goal I've made so many great friends through basketball and being part of a team has taught me invaluable lessons about leadership communication and sportsmanship

The choir has been working hard to prepare a beautiful rendition of the national anthem which they will perform live for us today Please give them a warm welcome as they take the stage

Wow that was absolutely stunning the choir really outdid themselves today I'm sure we're all feeling very patriotic after that performance Let's give them another round of applause

Alright now it's time for our final segment of the broadcast which is a special announcement from our student council president Sarah Williamson Sarah take it away
Thank you so much it's an honor to be here today to share some important information with all of you As you know the student council plays a vital role in organizing various events and activities throughout the school year and we have some big plans for the first semester
First and foremost I want to invite all of our first-year students to attend our welcome event next Friday evening This is a great opportunity for you to meet your fellow classmates get to know the student council members and learn more about the clubs and societies you can get involved in
In addition we will be holding our annual fall festival on October
15th This is always a hugely popular event with lots of fun games food and entertainment so I encourage everyone to mark that date in your calendars and come out to support your school
Finally I want to remind everyone about our school's recycling program We take great pride in our commitment to sustainability and we rely on the participation of all students and staff to make this program a success So please remember to sort your waste properly
and do your part to reduce our environmental impact
