TV: a good thing or bad thing?
As the tremendous popularity of TV has swept over the world, worries grow meanwhile since more and more teenagers suffer from shortsightedness and other disease caused by watching TV excessively. When it comes to the issue whether TV is good or bad, I believe TV itself is utterly beyond reproach.
For one thing, TV enables the spread of information and opinion on important political and social issues, thus encouraging individuals to participate more activities in social life. It serves just like a window through which we get to know the whole world in economic, political, scientific, cultural and many other aspects. In addition, many programs on TV provide people a form of entertainment without anything in return. Various kinds of TV programs can refresh people and relieve their stress after the all day long intense work.
