1.Teach students some skills of listening.
2.Teach students to explain their own ideas.
3.Train students' listening skill—grasp the missing words by the related topic.
4.Train students' speaking skill—discuss the topic with classmates.
5.Expand students' horizons—know more about helping other in need.

【教学过程】
I. Pre-task Presentation
1.Greetings
Teacher: How is everything going?
Students: Very well.
Teacher: What do you think of the voluntary work? Do you like it?
2.Ask students to give their answers. Look at the pictures and learn the new words.
(1)raise (v.) 筹募(钱);增加,提高;举起;提出;养育
(2)permission (n.): the act of allowing sb. to do sth.
Without permission
permit sb. to do sth. = allow sb. to do sth. 允许某人做某事
permit—permitted—permitted
(3)the Paralympics 残奥会
(4)suffer from 遭受,承受(疾病,痛苦……)
(5)serious(adj.) 严重的,严肃的seriously (adv.) 严重地= badly
(6)ill (adj.) 生病的;坏的illness (n.) 疾病

II. While-task Procedure
1.Brainstorming: Have you ever take part in any money-raising activities? How do you do for the activities?
2.Listening skills.
3.Before listening, go through the listening material and guess what you are going to listen to.
First listening, catch the main idea of the listening material.
Second listening, try to write down the words and figures very quickly, then check.
III. Post-task Activity
Ask students to share their ideas: talking about plans.。
