Release 11i (11.5.7)

This supplemental installation guide contains important information about setting up and implementing Oracle Customer Relationship Management (CRM) products for new installations of Oracle Applications Release 11i and for upgrades to Release 11i (11.5.7) from Release 10.7 or Release 11.0.Implementing Customer Relationship Management in Release 11i Both new installations of Oracle Applications Release 11i (11.5.7) and upgrades of existing installations from Release 10.7 or 11.0 require the completion of the steps in this section in order to successfully implement Customer Relationship Management (CRM).If you are installing Oracle Applications for the first time at the Release 11.5.7 level, complete the tasks described in Installing Oracle Applications , then complete the tasks in this section. If you are upgrading a Release 10.7 or 11.0 installation to Release 11i (11.5.7), complete the tasks described in Upgrading Oracle Applications , then complete the tasks in this section.In addition, there may be other product-specific tasks required, depending on which CRM products you have licensed. Refer to the implementation guides associated with the products in your installation for more information.Set Up Oracle CRM Mobile Applications If you plan to use Oracle Field Service/Laptop, Oracle Field Service/Palm™ Devices, or Oracle Field Sales/Palm™ Devices, perform the following additional steps.Additional Information:Refer to Oracle MetaLink for complete information on CRM product documentation.
1.Install Mobile Device Gateway (MDG).
Follow the instructions in the 11.5.7 CRM Gateway for Mobile Devices
Implementation Guide on Oracle MetaLink.
MDG requires the following components:
■Oracle8i 8.1.7.2.5 (Windows)
■Oracle8i 8.1.7.2 and patch 1836101 (UNIX)
■Patch 2146152
■Oracle 9i Lite 5.0 and patch 5.0.0.8.0
2.If you plan to use Oracle Field Service/Laptop or Oracle Field
Sales/Laptop, follow the instructions in the Oracle CRM Mobile
Foundation Implementation Guide on Oracle MetaLink to install the laptop foundation components.
3.If you plan to use Oracle Field Service/Laptop, follow the instructions
in the Oracle Field Service/Laptop Implementation Guide on
Oracle MetaLink.
4.If you plan to use Oracle Field Sales/Laptop, follow the instructions in
the Oracle Field Sales/Laptop Implementation Guide on Oracle MetaLink. 5.If you plan to use Oracle Field Service/Palm™ Devices, follow the
instructions in the Oracle Field Service/Palm Devices Implementation Guide on Oracle MetaLink.
Set Up Oracle Interaction Center – Oracle Email Center
If you plan to use the Oracle Interaction Center or the Oracle eMail Center, perform the following additional steps.
1.Install Oracle eMail Server (OES) 5.
2.
Follow the instructions in the Installing Oracle eMail Server section of the Oracle eMail Server Installation Guide. (Oracle eMail Server was
formerly known as Oracle Internet Messaging.)
2.In the post-installation configuration (imconfig), do not select the
Enable LDAP checkbox. Oracle eMail Center does not use LDAP server, so your Oracle Email Server need not have an LDAP server running. 3.After successfully installing Oracle eMail Server, register the gateway
with Sendmail, the standard UNIX mail transfer agent that handles all messages traveling to and from the Internet. To register the gateway with Sendmail, specify gateway information in the sendmail.cf file so that Sendmail knows how to forward messages coming in from the
Internet.

Set Up Oracle Service Applications – Oracle Enterprise Install Base If you plan to implement Oracle Enterprise Install Base, enable the following database triggers:
■ CSE_MASS_ADDITIONS_ARU
■CSE_FA_RETIREMENTS_ARI.
Run csetrg03.sql on the admin tier against each APPS user: UNIX:
$ sqlplus <APPS username>/<APPS password> \
@$CSE_TOP/patch/115/sql/csetrg03.sql
Windows:
C:/> sqlplus <APPS username>/<APPS password> \
@%CSE_TOP%\patch\115\sql\csetrg03.sql。
