摘要：PURPOSE:To improve distance resolution and temperature resolution by winding a sensor fiber in a spiral state, and connecting an optical fiber whose number of apertures is smaller than that of the sensor fiber. CONSTITUTION:A light pulse tester 1 uses light having a wavelength of 0.85mum characterized by low amount of loss in optical fiber and back scattering light having high intensity at a pulse width of 10ns. A personal computer 2 is connected for data processing. An optical fiber sensor 5 uses a liquid core fiber having a numerical aperture of 0.2. A temperature detecting part 6 is wound in a spiral state at an interval of about 5mm. Furthermore, an optical fiber 3 for communication having a length of about 20m is connected. At a joint part 4, the core of the fiber 3 is inserted into a sensor 5. In this constitution, distance resolution and temperature resolution can be improved.
