Dear Diary,
Today was an exciting day for me. I started my first week as
a middle school student, and I am thrilled to be learning English at a new level. It's like opening a door to a whole new world of communication and culture.
In the morning, we had our first English class. Our teacher, Mrs. Smith, is very kind and patient. She introduced us to
the English alphabet, which is different from our own, but I found it fascinating. We practiced pronunciation and I felt proud when I could read the letters aloud correctly.
During the lesson, we also learned some basic greetings and phrases. "Hello," "Good morning," and "How are you?" are so simple, yet they are the building blocks of communication. I practiced with my classmates, and it was fun to interact with them in English.
After lunch, we had a fun activity where we had to describe
our favorite animals in English. I chose a cat because they
are cute and independent. I said, "My favorite animal is a cat. It is cute and it sleeps a lot." My classmates laughed, but it was a friendly laugh, and I didn't feel embarrassed.
In the afternoon, we worked on our first English writing assignment. We had to write a short paragraph about ourselves.
I wrote about my family, my hobbies, and my hopes for the future. It was challenging, but I enjoyed the process of expressing myself in a new language.
At the end of the day, I felt a sense of accomplishment. Learning English is not easy, but it is an adventure that I am eager to embark on. I can't wait to see what next week brings.
