Do you think “we all have a responsibility to be safe”?

There is no denying that safety plays an important part in our daily life. Recently our school has carried out a program aiming at increasing our safety awareness. I consider this as indeed a good practice, which will remind us that safety should always come first in our daily life, whether when we stay at school or outside it. For example, when we are doing sports, we should attach great importance to safety and avoid being hurt. Besides, we should follow the traffic rules when we are going to school or when we are on our way back home. I firmly believe that we should develop a good sense of safety and do everything safely.

What measures have been taken to prevent driving infractions like drunk driving and speeding in China?

Driving infractions cases have been increasing and have caused numerous deaths. A more severe punishment should be given to those who drive after they have drunk, especially to those who are drunk and have caused serious injuries or deaths while driving.In order to crack down driving infractions, the government should introduce a more severe law. Besides, more measures should be taken to cultivate the drivers’ awareness of traffic laws and respect others’ lives as well as their o wn when they are driving on the road, which I think should be the key to decrease drunken driving cases.

Can you tell us how to escape a fire, esp. when you are in a high-rise building?

As we know, no one knows for sure when a fire will happen, so it is extremely necessary to make preparations before a fire starts. To begin with, checking the fire escape in advance and make sure that you can find it when lights have failed.What’s more, taking care not to be overcome by smoke, which containing monoxide gas, can kill you quickly. At last, cover your mouth with a wet towel or a wet cloth, and avoid getting into the smoke. In short, if you make preparations before and take precautions during the fire, chances are that you will survive in case of a fire if it really breaks out some day.

What are the things you have to defend yourself so that you can have a peaceful and wonderful life?

The path to dreams may not be smooth and wide, even some sacrifices are needed, but we should defend our dreams to the end, many famous and successful had to fail over and over again to achieve what they hoped to in life. Michael Jordan was once cut from his high school basketball team. He later said,"I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games 26 time s I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot … and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. That is why I succeed. All in all, we must defend our dreams all the time, only in this way can we have greater chances to make success.

Do you think “stop phubbing” is a must? How could we do in person to carry it out smoothly?

Addiction to the smart phones does disturb our life. From the young people to the elderly and kids, they fix their eyes on the screen of their smart phones, leading to some psychological problems. They become mad and anxious when they leave behind their cellphones.In my opinion, we need to spend more time reading books or chapping with friends face to face and try to be open to new ways of seeing the world, only in this way can we reap the benefits of the real life.

When going to the supermarket to buy food, do you usually read the food labels to see the expiry date? Why or why not?

Part of being a smart shopper is checking the expiration date on food packages the date, because the expiration date tells us how long the product is likely to remain at its absolute best quality when unopened, however, it is not a safety date sometimes. For example, milk may sour around the expiration date or a few days afterwards, depending on how cold your refrigerator is. Can you give some traffic safety tips for pedestrians?

To begin with, pedestrians need to stop and look for traffic in all directions before crossing the street, and look to the left, right, and left again—even on a one-way street. What’s more, Use paths and sidewalks whenever available. If you must walk on or near a road, remember to walk facing oncoming traffic, so that both you and the driver can see each other. The last but not least, don't rely only on traffic signs and signals. Assuming that a signal will stop traffic puts you at risk. You must look for traffic even if you are in a crosswalk and you are crossing with the light or with the walk signal.
