为了更好地记忆单词，教师把“inside”拆开，“important”划分音节等办法，化难为易，做到事半功倍。同时采取多种方式朗读、拼写单词，如：男女生读、小组读、同桌读、个别抽查等。同时在学习单词的过程中，帮助学生用词造句，做到词不离句，句不离章，章不离背景。
（二）句型教学
在学生已掌握单词的基础上，让学生打开书，快速阅读书中的对话，找出“want to”句型，教师板书黑板，并对其疑问句做出回答，然后让学生比较课前提问的句型，进行归纳总结，发现其共同特点都是助动词“Do”开头。
然后请5名同学到黑板完成,其他同学在练习本上写出答案,然后对照批改。通过问题的回答,让学生从整体上感知课文内容,同时也训练学生的阅读理解能力。然后再分段进行教学。
