Comic strip & Welcome to the unit

【教学目标】

1. 掌握下列词汇、词组和句型,并能熟练朗读和运用。

词汇: thirsty, honest, secret, care, yourself, magazine, good-looking, humorous, polite, tidy, make, trust, lie, joke, true

词组:some more food, keep a secret, make sb happy, care about, tell him/her everything about yourself, be ready to do, have problems, tell lies/funny jokes 句型:Can I have something to drink? What about some milk? Can I have some more food? Maybe we can share it. What makes good friends, Amy? You can trust them

because they never tell lies.

2. 能学会用表示朋友品质的单词与词组来描述自己的朋友。

3. 流利的朗读对话并表演,注意正确的语音语调。

4. 能了解学习英语过程中利用单词树帮助单词分类并帮助记忆。

【教学重难点】

学习用适当的词描述人的外貌和品质。

Step1. Free talk

Ask students some questions about friends.

Step2. Presentation & practiceⅠ

1. Ask students to work in pairs and finish the questionnaire.

2. Have students say qualities of a good friend.

3. H elp Daniel match the qualities with the questions in ‘Teenagers’

magazine on Page 7.

4. Have students do some exercises on PPT.

1. Listen to the tape to learn something about Daniel and Amy’s ideas

and read after the tape.

2. Have students to make new dialogues to describe their friends.

1. Have the students listen to the tape answer some questions.

2. Ask students to discuss in groups: Who do you like better, Eddie or

Hobo? Why?

3. Read and fill in the blanks.

教学策略

1、由上一节课的话题直接引入到本节课的话题。

2、让学生跟随一只蝴蝶进入一幢房子的不同房间,在此过程中教授新词汇,并用英文谈论各个房间的不同功能,为之后的学习打下基础。

3、本环节设置了“微信交友”的情景,分别以视频、语音和文本的方式呈现了课文中的三篇短文。这样的设置比较贴近学生的实际生活,容易激发他们的学习兴趣和热情。

4、通过朗读、“问题链”方式的互相提问和完成书上部分练习等步骤帮助学生理解、熟悉、记忆课文内容。】

5、课文复述环节,采用新鲜的方式能提升学生的参与兴趣。

课题:Unit 1 Friends!

Reading

1. 初步掌握下列重点单词、短语和句子并能熟练朗读和使用。

四会单词:any time, voice, singer, almost, round, sense, bored, fit, knock, straight, sweet, smile, choose.

短语:one of …, be willing to share…, be ready to help…, want to be a singer when she grows up, make him look smart, have a good sense of humour, feel bored with sb,

knock…onto the floor, say a bad word about anyone, a true friend.

句子:Betty has a good voice. She always gives her seat to someone in need.

He is the tallest boy in our class. He tells funny jokes and always makes me laugh.

She is shorter than I am.

2. 能学会用形容词、所学短语和句子等描述朋友的品质特征,并正确评价他人的品质。

3. 能通过任务型教学培养并发展学生良好的语篇阅读能力。

Step1. Pre-reading

Have the Ss talk about the qualities of friends according to some

sentences and revise some adjectives and phrases.

Step2. While-reading

1. Have the Ss skim the passage and answer questions:

How many friends does the writer have? Who are they? Then try to

complete a form. (PPT4)

2. Have the Ss read the passage carefully and complete 3 tables.

(PPT6, 8, 10)

3. Have the Ss read the passage aloud and finish Part B1 on Page 9.

4. Have the Ss do some exercises about the passage. (PPT12, 13, 14

and Part B2)

Step3. Post-reading

Have the Ss discuss questions in pairs and act them out: Who would

you choose as your best friend? Why? Then try to finish Part B3 on

Page 10.
