教学设计
一、教学目标
1.学习目标:
(一)知识与能力:
(1)掌握词汇及短语: tell, story, write, show, or, talk, talk to..., kung fu,can’t=can not;(2)掌握情态动词can的肯定句和否定句,一般疑问句及肯定,否定回答;(3)掌握情态动词can用于“询问和谈论能力”的目标语言,掌握基can的用法;熟练运用以下句型:
①-Can you play the piano? -Yes, I can. / No, I can’t.
②-Can Bill play the guitar? -Yes, he can. But he can’t play it well.
(二)过程与方法
采用师生互动与小组合作的方法利用教学图片,幻灯片等开展课堂教学,pair-work问答式的口语交际活动或小组活动,学习“询问和谈论能力”的目标语言并能灵活使用。
(三)情感目标
通过互相询问或谈论自己或对方在某一方面的能力,使学生了解到自己的特长和特点,赏识他人的特长和特点。培养学生的群体意识
二、教材分析
1、教学重点
(1)学习重点词汇:guitar,chess,join,paint,dance,speak,swim,sing,can’t=can not
(2)掌握情态动词can的肯定句和否定句,一般疑问句及肯定,否定回答。2、教学难点
掌握情态动词can的肯定句和否定句,一般疑问句及肯定,否定回答。
三、学情分析
本单元的主题是运用情态动词Can谈论能力,通过对目标语言的学习使学生能够表达自己在某一方面所具备的才能;通过谈论彼此的特长与爱好培养一种群体意识。在以前的学习中,学生已经学习了一些行为动作的表达法,而教学“谈论能力”只是将情态动词can用于这些表达中;情态动词can在肯定旬、否定句和疑问句中的构成,和学生已经学过的be动词的结构有相同的地方,教师在教学中要善于引导学生比较这两种结构的异同以加强记忆。
四、教学媒体
充分利用多媒体、图片和视频,并利用黑板、粉笔等教学媒体辅助教学,促进学生的有效学习。
五、教学方法

六、教学过程
Step 1 Revision
Review some new words and expressions in this unit.
Step 2 Lead - in
Ask students to make dialogues by using the learned structure and introduce the objectives in this unit to come into new lesson.
Step 3 Observing and Discovering
1. Ask students to observe the chart in the book and the sentences in the PPT to let students conclude the use of modal verb “can” by them selves.
2.Explain the sentences in the chart and PPT, then make a conclusion to the use of modal verb “can”.
Step 4 Practicing
1. Activity 3a
(1) Ask students to read the requirement of this activity and finish it.
(2) Check the answers and explain them in details.
2. Activity 3b
(1)Ask students to read the requirement of this activity and explain some important words to them.
(2)Ask students to finish this activity.
(3)Check the answers and explain this activity in details.
3.Activity 3c
(1)Ask students to read the requirement of this activity and explain the activity in details.
(2)Ask students to work in groups of four to make a survey to know what their classmates can by using the structures. This activity is also to let students find the beauty around them.
Step 5 Exercise
Doing some exercise is to let students master what they learned better.
Step 6 Summary
Make a summary to this class.
Step 7 Homework
Assign the homework to students.
