What Technology Brings to Us

The twenty-first century is the century of technology. Nowadays, modern technology is everywhere around us, such as cell phone, computer, e-dictionary and so on. There is no denying that modern technology has brought us lots of convenience, but we cannot pay no attention to its inconvenience which has affected our daily life.

In the first place, modern technology does make our communication more convenient, our life more colorful and richer. However, it some cases, some electronic products lead to less and less face-to-face communication between people. For instance, in the past, friends met together to have parties and chat freely. Nowadays, upon meeting with each other, everyone just sits down and begins to stare at his or her cell phone until leaves. People prefer chatting online to face-to-face communication, even if they are in the same room.

What’s more, it is absolutely true that Internet technology is a great platform where we can do almost everything. It sounds convenient. But take online shopping as an example, I hold the view that online shopping causes more inconvenience that shopping at stores. Despite the fact that we can buy what we want without going out, we cannot ensure the quality of the goods just through the pictures. If not satisfied, exchanging or returning goods is also inconvenient. Moreover, considering the complexity of the Internet, it is easily for us to fall for through online

shopping.

Given that the above examples, we can make a conclusion that modern technology not only brings us convenience, but also more inconvenience. What we are supposed to do is not to enjoy its convenience, but to raise our awareness while using it in order to figure out how to use it can we get the most convenience.
