People will recognize their own words and deeds can be of great influence to the society or the world. So from one hand I can say advertisements can make our lives more harmonious and colorful.

In my opinion, even if some ads may mislead consumers make wrong choices, I shall say advertising outweigh the costs. Advertising is the product of social progress.
