• 3.I am the Saviour（救世主） Americans think that they are the master of nature, they can control the environment around them. When they get into trouble, the first thought come into their mind is that they can conquer it without other’s help.
Effects
Individualism stimulate everyone’s wisdom and potential, promote the development of the country. However, everybody take me as a center, the interpersonal relationship with difficulty harmonious, the entire society also will lack the cohesive force （凝聚力）.
Causes
American values has a closely connection with the construction of America. Most of the people are immigrants, no matter where are you come from, only with persistent struggle, can you survive on the continent.

• 2.Directness and Honesty 直率诚实 Americans are likely to be completely honest in delivering their negative evaluations. If you did something wrong, they’ll tell you directly, not like people in other countries to express their opinions in a polite way.

•Equality is the idea that everyone is equal under the law. Americans believe that all people have an equal opportunity to succeed in life, despite the physical or economic conditions into which they were born. •They believe that their personal rights cannot be violated.（侵犯）As the Declaration of Independence says:All men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

They believe that one’s personal value is equivalent to his achievement in his career. • The process and result of how these winners strived have became the frame of reference of social culture values and the real life text book for parents to educate their children.
Effects
High divorce rate.（高离婚率） Homosexuality（同性恋） in the US is legal and brought into the public. Americans have the gun freedom. Since Abraham Lincoln was assassinated（遇刺） in 1865, there were 6 presidents assassinated, four of them died.

• 4.Personal thinking People were nurtured to learn autocriticism(自我反省)、selfmanagement、self-affirmation(自我肯 定)，not follow the herd, especially do as other’s instruction. So, Americans are good at thinking, but not trust other people easily, especially the government.
• All in all, the American values live by give the society more competition and vigour （活力）, and it also attracts millions of outstanding talent from every corner of the world to come to America to realize their “American dream”.
