As human beings, we all have our own mental states, which can greatly affect our daily lives. A positive mental state can lead to happiness, success, and fulfillment, while a negative mental state can lead to stress, anxiety, and even depression. Therefore, it is important to understand our own mental state and take steps to improve it.There are several factors that can affect our mental state. One of the most important factors is our environment. If we are surrounded by negativity, such as people who are always complaining or situations that are constantly stressful, it can be difficult to maintain a positivemental state. On the other hand, if we are surrounded by positivity, such as supportive friends and family or a job that we enjoy, it can be easier to maintain a positive mental state.Another factor that can affect our mental state is our own thoughts and beliefs. If we constantly have negative thoughts, such as "I'm not good enough" or "I'll never succeed," it can be difficult to maintain a positive mental state. However, if we have positive thoughts, such as "I can do this" or "I am capable of achieving my goals," it can be easier to maintain a positive mental state. Our physical health can also affect our mental state. If we are not taking care of our bodies, such as by not getting enough sleep or exercise, it can be difficult to maintain a positive mental state. On the other hand, if we are taking care of our bodies, such as by eating healthy and getting regular exercise, it can be easier to maintain a positive mental state. Finally, our relationships with others can affect our mental state. If we have supportive and loving relationships, it can be easier to maintain a positive mental state. However, if we have toxic relationships, it can be difficult to maintain a positive mental state. In order to improve our mental state, there are several steps we can take. First, we can try to surround ourselves with positivity by seeking out supportive friends and family and engaging in activities that we enjoy. Second, we can work on changing our own thoughts and beliefs by practicing positive self-talk and challenging negative thoughts. Third, we can take care of our physical health by getting enough sleep, eating healthy, and getting regular exercise. Finally, we can work on improving our relationships with others by setting boundaries and seeking out healthy relationships. In conclusion, our mental state is an important factor in our daily lives. By understanding the factors that can affect our mental state and taking steps to improve it, we can lead happier, more fulfilling lives.。

Whether you are taking notes during a lecture, writing a report, or simply trying to remember important information, summarizing is a useful tool that can help you save time and retain information more effectively. To begin with, summarizing requires you to identify the most important points of a given text or speech. This means that you need to be able to distinguish between what is essential and what is not. Once you have identified the key points, you then need to condense them into a shorter, more concise version. This can be done by using your own words to rephrase the original text, or by simply highlighting the main ideas. One benefit of summarizing is that it can help you tobetter understand the material you are working with. By focusing on the most important points, you are able to see the big picture and make connections between different ideas. In addition, summarizing can help you to remember information more easily. When you condense a piece of information into a shorter version, it becomes easier to remember and recall later on.Another benefit of summarizing is that it can save you time. When you are able to identify the most important points of a text or speech, you can quickly get to the heart of the matter without having to sift through irrelevant details. This can be especially helpful when you are working on a deadline or have a lot of information to process.Overall, summarizing is a valuable skill that can be applied in many different situations. Whether you are a student, a professional, or just someone who wants to be more efficient with their time, learning how to summarize effectively can make a big difference.

So, like, let's dive in!First of all, critical thinking is all about using our brains to analyze stuff and ask questions. It's like when we read a story in class and the teacher asks us why the characters did certain things. We have to, like, think about it and come up with our own ideas. That's what college students do, but, like, on a bigger scale. One way they do this is by looking at different sources of information and, like, comparing them. They don't just trust one website or one book – they look at a bunch of stuff and decide for themselves what's true.

我们以“Woman,Half Of The Sky”这一课题作为研究对象。

Abstraction is a concept that plays a significant rolein various aspects of our lives. It refers to the processof simplifying complex ideas or objects by focusing ontheir essential characteristics or qualities. In other words, it involves extracting the most important elements and ignoring the irrelevant details. One area where abstraction is commonly used is in mathematics. Mathematicians often use abstraction to solve complex problems by breaking them down into simpler, more manageable parts. For example, when solving an equation, we can abstract the variables and focus on their values rather than the specific numbers involved. This allows us to generalize the solution and apply it to different scenarios.Abstraction is also essential in computer science and programming. Programmers use abstraction to createefficient and scalable code. They break down complex tasks into smaller, reusable functions or modules, which can be easily understood and modified. For instance, when designing a website, a programmer may abstract the navigation menu into a separate component, making it easier to update and maintain. Moreover, abstraction is not limited to academic or technical fields. It is a fundamental aspect of human communication and understanding. We often use abstraction when describing or explaining something to others. For example, when telling a story, we abstract the main events and key characters, omitting unnecessary details. This allows us to convey the essence of the story in a concise and engaging manner.

The sun was shining brightly, and the birds were chirping happily in the trees. As I strolled along the path, I couldn't help but notice the vibrant colors of theflowers that lined the way. The red roses, the yellow daisies, and the purple tulips all seemed to be competingfor attention. It made me wonder how nature could create such a diverse range of colors.Speaking of colors, have you ever noticed how different colors can evoke different emotions? For example, the color blue is often associated with calmness and tranquility, while red is often associated with passion and excitement. It's fascinating how something as simple as a color canhave such a profound effect on our emotions. It makes me wonder if there are other ways in which our surroundingscan influence our mood. While we're on the topic of emotions, let's talk aboutmusic. Music has the power to transport us to different places and evoke a wide range of emotions. Whether it's a catchy pop song that makes us want to dance or a soulful ballad that brings tears to our eyes, music has a way of connecting with us on a deep level. It's amazing how something as intangible as sound can have such a profound impact on our emotions.Speaking of intangible things, let's talk about dreams. Dreams are a fascinating aspect of human existence. Theycan be strange, surreal, and sometimes even terrifying. But they can also be incredibly inspiring and thought-provoking. Dreams have the ability to take us to places we've never been and show us things we've never seen. They can sparkour creativity and push us to think outside the box. It's incredible how our minds can create such vivid and imaginative worlds while we sleep.Speaking of imagination, let's talk about the power of storytelling. Stories have been a fundamental part of human culture for centuries. They have the ability to transportus to different times and places, to introduce us to newcharacters and ideas, and to teach us valuable lessons. Whether it's a classic novel, a captivating movie, or a gripping TV series, storytelling has the power to captivate our minds and ignite our imaginations. It's amazing how something as simple as words on a page or images on a screen can have such a profound impact on our lives. As I continued my walk in the park, my mind was filled with all these thoughts and ideas. It's incredible how a simple stroll can lead to such a cascade of thoughts. It made me realize the power of divergent thinking and the importance of embracing creativity and imagination in our lives. So next time you find yourself taking a walk, let your mind wander and see where it takes you. You never know what amazing ideas you might stumble upon.。

Some people see education simply as going to schools or colleges, or as a means to secure good jobs; most people view education as a lifelong process. In your opinion, how important is education to a modern adult person? Write a composition of about 300 words on the following topic: Education as a Lifelong Process.

Abstract: The paper reports an exploratory study on 120 English argumentative compositions by English majors in an attempt to identify features and problems in their abstract thinking. Based on close scrutiny of 20 best compositions from 1-4 grades, we hypothesized 4 parameters (i.e. relevance, explicitness, coherence and sufficiency) accompanying the supposedly 4 thinking stages in composing (i.e. understanding the composition topic, developing a thesis statement and supporting arguments, organizing a coherent discourse and putting ideas into writing). Then we tried to verify/falsify our hypotheses by marking another 100 compositions of the same kind twice in 3 months, which yielded a tentative framework for analyzing the general features of and salient problems in the students’ abstract thinking. Key words: B.A. program in English; English argumentative composition; abstract thinking
