The music player can be the music player feature of your phone or a separate music playing device.Read this user guide carefully before using the headset. Read also the user guide for your phone, which provides important safety and maintenance information, and the user guide for your music playing device. Keep the headset out of reach of small children.■Bluetooth wireless technologyThe headset can be connected to a compatible mobile phone or music player that supports Bluetooth wireless technology. This technology makes it possible to connect compatible communication devices without cables. In a Bluetooth connection, the headset and the other device should be within 10meters (30 feet) of each other. Connections can be subject to interference from obstructions, such as walls, or other electronic devices.This headset is compliant with Bluetooth Specification 1.2 supporting the following profiles: Headset Profile 1.1, Handsfree Profile 1.0, and Advanced Audio Distribution Profile 1.0. Check with the manufacturers of other devices to determine their compatibility with this device.There may be restrictions on using Bluetooth technology in some locations. Check with your local authorities or service provider.2.Get startedThe headset contains the following parts:•Volume down key (1)•Volume up key (2)•Charger socket (3)•Indicator light (4)•Microphone (5)•Multifunction key (6)Before using the headset, you must charge thebattery and pair the headset with a compatiblephone. If your phone does not have a music player feature, you also need to pair the headset with your music player.Note: Parts of the headset are magnetic. When you disconnect the power cord of any enhancement, grasp and pull the plug, not the cord.■Charge the batteryThis headset has an internal, nonremovable, rechargeable battery. Do not attempt to remove the battery from the device as you may damage the headset.1.Connect the charger to a wall outlet.2.Connect the charger cable to the headset.The indicator light is red during charging. If theindicator light is not red, check the chargerconnection. If charging does not start, disconnectthe charger, plug it in again, and retry.Charging the battery fully may take up to 4hours.When the battery is fully charged, the indicatorlight turns blue.3.Disconnect the charger from the headset and wall outlet.The fully charged battery has power for up to 11 hours of talk-time and music playing time, and up to 150 hours of standby time. However, the times may vary when used with different mobile phones or other compatible Bluetooth devices, usage settings, usage styles, and environments.When battery power is low, the headset beeps each minute, and the indicator light flashes red. Recharge the battery.■Switch the headset on or offTo switch on, press and hold the multifunction key until you hear a beep and the indicator light starts to flash blue. To connect the headset to the paired phone or music player that you have last used with it, press the multifunction key. For more information, see Reconnect the headset, p.11.To switch off, press and hold the multifunction key until you hear a long beep. ■Pair the headsetPair with a phone with music player featureIf your phone has a compatible music player feature, you can use the headset to make and answer calls and listen to music from the phone.1.Switch on your phone.2.Ensure that the headset is off. If it is on, switch it off.3.Press and hold the multifunction key until the indicator light alternatelyflashes blue and red.4.Activate the Bluetooth feature on the phone, and set the phone to search forBluetooth devices. See the user guide of your phone for instructions.5.Select the headset (Nokia BH-501) from the list of found devices.6.Your phone should ask for a Bluetooth passcode. Enter the passcode (0000) onyour phone. In some phones you may need to make the Bluetooth connection separately after pairing. You only need to pair the headset with your phone once.If the pairing is successful and the headset is connected with your phone, the indicator light of the headset flashes blue slowly.Pair with a phone and a music playerIf your phone does not have a compatible music player feature, you can separately pair the headset with your phone and a compatible music player. After pairing and connecting the headset with your phone, do as follows:1.Switch off the headset.2.Switch on the music player.3.Press and hold the multifunction key until the indicator light alternatelyflashes blue and red.4.Follow the pairing instructions in the user guide for your music player. Whenthe music player asks for a device to pair, select Nokia BH-501 from the list. If you are asked for a Bluetooth passcode, enter 0000 on the music player.If your music player does not have a keypad, the device may use the Bluetooth passcode 0000 by default. If this is not the case, see the user guide of your music player to change the default Bluetooth passcode to 0000.If the pairing is successful and the headset is connected with your music player, the indicator light of the headset flashes blue slowly.Disconnect the headsetTo disconnect the headset from your phone or music player, switch off the headset, or follow the instructions in the user guide for your phone or music player. You do not need to delete the pairing with the headset to disconnect it. To connect the headset also to your phone, make the connection from your phone as described in its user guide.Reconnect the headsetYou can pair the headset with up to ten phones and music players in total but connect it to only one device at a time.To connect the headset to the paired phone or music player that you have last used with it, switch on the headset and press the multifunction key. To connect the headset to some other paired phone or music player, follow the instructions in the user guide for the phone or music player.If you have a Nokia phone, you can set it to connect with the headset automatically when the headset is switched on. On your Nokia phone, change your paired device settings in the Bluetooth menu.3.Basic use■Place the headset over the earsLower the headband behind your head. Place the headsetover your ears so that the speaker pads fit comfortably.Warning: When using the headset your ability to hearoutside sounds may be affected. Do not use the headset where it can endangeryour safety.■Adjust the volumePress the volume up key to increase or the volume down key to decrease the volume during a call or while listening to music.■Call handlingTo make a call when the headset is connected to the phone, use your phone in the normal way.If your phone supports last number redialing with this device, press the multifunction key twice briefly while no call is in progress.If your phone supports voice dialing with this device, press the multifunction key when no call is in progress, and proceed as instructed in the user guide of your phone.To answer a call, press the multifunction key, or use the phone keys. To reject the call, press and hold either volume key until the headset beeps twice.To end a call, press the multifunction key, or use the phone keys.To switch the call from the headset to the phone, press and hold either volume key. The switch the call back from the phone to the headset, press the multifunction key, or use the respective function in your phone.■Listen to musicTo listen to music, the headset must be connected to a phone that has a compatible music player feature or to a separate music player.When the headset is connected to a phone but not to a music player, the headset can only be used to make and answer calls if the phone does not have a compatible music player feature.The available music functions depend on your music player.If you answer or make a call while listening to the music player, the music pauses until you end the call.To start and control the music playback, use the keys in your music player. For details, see the user guide for your music player.Warning: Listen to music at a moderate level. Continuous exposure to highvolume may damage your hearing.■Clear the settingsTo clear the pairing and volume settings, switch off the headset, and press and hold either volume key until the indicator light starts to alternately flash blue and red. Press and hold the volume key until the headset beeps twice. Recharge the headset for a few seconds.4.Battery informationYour device is powered by a rechargeable battery. The battery can be charged and discharged hundreds of times, but it will eventually wear out. Recharge your battery only with Nokia approved chargers designated for this device.Unplug the charger from the electrical plug and the device when not in use. Do not leave the device connected to a charger, since overcharging may shorten the battery lifetime. If left unused, a fully charged battery will lose its charge over time.Use the battery only for its intended purpose. Never use any charger or battery that is damaged.Leaving the device in hot or cold places, such as in a closed car in summer or winter conditions, will reduce the capacity and lifetime of the battery. Always try to keep the battery between 15°C and 25°C (59°F and 77°F). A device with a hot or cold battery may not work temporarily, even when the battery is fully charged. Battery performance is particularly limited in temperatures well below freezing.Do not dispose of batteries in a fire as they may explode. Batteries may also explode if damaged. Dispose of batteries according to local regulations. Please recycle when possible. Do not dispose as household waste.Care and maintenanceYour device is a product of superior design and craftsmanship and should be treated with care. The suggestions below will help you protect your warranty coverage.•Keep all accessories and enhancements out of the reach of small children.•Keep the device dry. Precipitation, humidity and all types of liquids or moisture can contain minerals that will corrode electronic circuits. If your device does get wet, allow the device to dry completely.•Do not attempt to remove the battery from the device. Nokia recommends to take it to the nearest authorized service facility for replacement of the battery.•Do not use or store the device in dusty, dirty areas. To use the headset on the right ear, rotate the earloop so that it is to the right of the Nokia logo (11 and 12).Slide the earloop behind your ear (9), and gently push the earpiece against your ear. Proceed as described in the phone user guide.To answer or end a call, press the answer/end key. To reject a call, press this key twice.To adjust the volume, press either volume key.To mute or unmute the microphone, press both volume keys at the same time. When the microphone is muted, the green indicator light flashes twice about every 5 seconds.To switch a call from the headset to a compatible phone, press and hold the answer/end key for about 2 seconds, or switch off the headset. To switch the call back to the headset, press and hold the answer/end key for about 2 seconds, or switch on the headset. To reset the headset if it stops functioning, even though it is charged, connect the headset to a charger while you press and hold the power key. 應變硬化可使材料產生更高的降伏點。此方式是將材料在超過彈性限的應力作用下產生應變,然後釋放負載而形成的。而材料可保持相同的彈性模數,但會使延展性降低。
工程應力和應變可由試片之標稱長度及原始截面積計算得之。
延性材料,如軟鋼,在其承受負載的過程中,有4個明顯的現象。分別是彈性行為、降伏、應變應化以及頸縮。
若在彈性範圍內,應力與應變成正比,則此材料具線彈性。亦即是符合虎克定律(Hooke’s law)且應力-應變曲線關係的斜率稱為彈性模數,E。
在應力-應變圖上的重要位置有比例限、彈性限、降伏應力、抗拉應力和斷裂應力。
應變為一幾何量,可以實驗技術測量得知,一旦獲知則物體內的應力即可由材料性質的關係而求得。

第三章材料的機械性質
傳統的應力-應變圖對工程界是很重要的,因為它可以提供有關材料之拉伸或壓縮強度數據的方法,而與材料的尺寸或形狀無關。
是物體內任一位置將會產生位移或者位置變化。
正應變是物體內某一小線段的伸長或縮短的測量,而剪應變則是物體內原先兩條互相垂直之小線段所產生的角度變化測量。

材料力學是在研究作用在物體上的外加負載與物體內部負荷強度的關係。
外力可以是分佈的或集中的表面負載或者是如作用在整個物體的物體力。
線性分佈負載可以用等於負載分佈曲線下的面積大小的合力FR來表示,而且合力FR位於通過此面積形心的方向上。
支承會在接觸構件上產生某一特定方向的支承反力,如避免構件移動的方向,或者是避免構件旋轉而產生的力矩。
為避免物體以某一加速度平移或旋轉,合力與合力矩平衡方程式須滿足和。
當平衡方程式應用時,為了列出方程式的所有項,自由體圖的建立是很重要的。
截面法是用來決定物體截面上的內部合力。一般而言,這些合力包括正向力、剪力、扭矩和彎矩。
應變能是材料受到變形所儲存的能量。每單位體積的能量稱為應變能密度。若計算到彈性限則為彈性能模數。若計算到斷裂點則為韌性模數。
