一、教材分析:
本节课是Go for it七年级下册中Unit8 Is there a post office near here?第二课时。

本单元主要学习如何用能在街上问路并指路等有关的语言知识。

本节课继续练习there be句型,力图加深学生对第一课时出现的句型的印象,2d所提供的示范对话则呈现了一个相对完整的问路情景,学生通过练习对话,不仅巩固了上节课所学的词汇和重点的句型结构,同时也了解真实交际中如何有礼貌的进行交流和表达。

二、学生分析:
本节课的教学对象是七年级学生,虽已有一定的英语语言基础,但由于大部分都来自于山区,在课堂上还是不太自信,积极主动性较差,表现欲望也不强。

因此为了激发和培养学生学习英语的兴趣,使其树立自信心,在教学中,要充分利用多媒体,课件、图片等教学资源来进行语言操练和实践,让学生更直观地感受英语,学习英语,运用英语,使其感受到英语的魅力无处不在。

三、教学目标:
知识目标:
1.掌握以下单词:
town,around,north
2.继续练习there be句型的一般疑问句及其肯定与否定回答能掌握以下句型:
Is there a...?
Yes, there is.
No, there isn't. There isn't a...
Are there any...?
Yes, there are.
No, there aren't. There aren't any...
能力目标:
能使用本课所学知识正确问路和指路。

情感目标:
学会礼貌问路,感谢他人。

四、教学重难点:
1.教学重点:
there be句型的一般疑问句及其肯定与否定回答,以where 引导的特殊疑问句的构成。

2.教学难点:
Ask for and give directions on the street.
五、教学过程
Step1. Warming up
Look at the picture of our school. Ask students “What place is it? Is there a post office near here?"
(设计意图:通过看我们学校的照片,与学生互动,引起学生的兴趣,拉近师生
的距离,导入新课。


Step2. Revision
Look at the picture, this is Tony, He is walking here and there in town. Where is he? He is...
(设计意图:通过图片的动画效果,吸引学生的注意力,并对上节课where be进行复习,从而导入新课。


Step3. Grammar
1. Look at the map of the town. Please help Bob write down the places with “There is” or “There are”.
2. Please ask your partner if he remembers the places. Use Is there a...? 或Are there any ... ?
3.合作探究:

There be句型中的be动词要和的名词在数上保持一致。
