However, there have bee n many people violati ng the ban so far. For example, one day on my way to school in a bus, I saw a middle-aged man smok ing, n eglect ing the warni ng of the driver completely.
As far as I ' m concerned, it is necessary to ban smoking in public places, for smok ing can ruin the health of both the smoker and the people around him. Therefore, I want to appeal to the smokers to learn and obey the new rules so that we could have a better public environment.

10. Yes, you ' re right. I am from South Africa. I am not at all used to this cold
weather,
but I am glad to say that I have all the clothes for this freez ing weather.
Whenl first got to know that I would be attending this international conference here in Fin land, I had no idea what kind of clothes I should take along. I didn ' t know what to do whe n I thought of this two week stay here, with a rather formal dinner, a few parties, social gatheri ngs and a dance duri ng the conference.
Fort un ately, my frie nd Julia has bee n to Norther n Europe. Yes, she was a great help. She helped to solve my biggest problem. She placed an order for some warm suits and dresses, bus in ess-type clothes, of course, of dark colours. She also bought me some skirts and blouses so that
I could wear the same clothes in several differe nt ways. A couple of lively coloured dresses will give
me a nice cha nge from time to time. She also helped to choose a very warm rain coat and a pair of boots.
Oh, how lucky I am to have such a helpful friend. She saved me a lot of trouble.。
