Melting Pot
America is a country that is made up of many immigrants, so America is liken to a “melting pot”. It means that as immigrants from regions and cultures come to live in the United States, their old ways melt away and they become part of a new culture.

Not densely populated ,except Los Angles and San Francisco; California the most populous state in US .
Reasons
The widespread use of automobiles and the construction of express highway ;telephone Lower crime rates ,less population Superior school
Distribution of People
The melting pot theory is that people of different cultures, races and religions are combined so as to develop a multi-ethnic society and they form the unique American culture. Today many Americans say it is not completely true. People from same culture band together and they live together in distinctive communities. They continue to speak their native languages and keep their traditions instead of adopting the mainstream culture.
