Abstract
There are two famous women in Gone With the Wind. Scarlett and Melanie.
In the book, Scarlett is a lady of a rich family, and her characters can be analyzed by two aspects: the positive characters such as strong will and courage，honesty and keeping promise ; and the demerits in her characters，such as selfishness and coldness. O the other hand, Melanie is a pure woman who always love others. She just like a goddess. Scarlett is strong and Melanie is soft. In the book, they are both important. And they are also give us some views about the character about American women.

Part I Introduction
Gone with the Wind has been hailed as a triumph of American literature. In1937, Margaret. Mitchell won Pulitzer Prize, for her sweeping portrayal of the crumbling of the Old South. The love story takes place at a momentous time in history when Southern society undergoes changes and old codes of conduct begin disappearing. The novel created totally different two female images, Scarlett and Melanie. They are all slave owners of southern plantations and love the same man. However, they are not enemy but supporter for each other. In Civil War, they are all braves though as a woman. This article analyzes the character of Scarlett and Melanie from their distinctive personality. Firstly, the paper analyzes Scarlett's growing background and her marriage which impacts her life. Her brave, energetic and realistic image makes her become an independent woman with the consciousness of early capitalist. Secondly, the paper will discuss Melanie’s traditional female charms through her interpersonal relationship and analyzes Melanie's loyalty to the traditional culture of the southern plantation. Through this analysis, the author expects to give some inspiration for modern women

To trace back history, women have been despised because of their inferior social positions. In the developing of the human history, women have suffered a lot. Now, women are beginning to be aware of their existence in society. A famous man has once said that women hold half the sky. A wise writer has said that half the man is a woman. In fact, women are just like the deep-hidden treasure which has not been explored completely. It is not deniable that with the economic globalization, knowledge economy, women have stepped into a bigger arena. Women have a better sense of interpersonal relationship, family and business success. They have the desire to be admitted by the society. But all these good wishes are not easy to accomplish. This paper gives some suggestions to modern women how to be an independent and tender woman in the new era through the analysis of the main characters Scarlet and Melanie in the famous masterpiece Gone with the Wind.
论文写作课程心得感想
为期八周的论文写作课程告一段落，虽然不像正常课程一样有很长的接触时间，但是我还是受益良多。

论文写作课程算不上一门要求非常高的课程，作为一名大学生，如何写一片普通的论文是必备能力之一。

而我们要做到的，是如何写好一片论文，所以，我们有了这一门课程。

开始我认为论文写作的大部分东西我还是知道的，无非就是那几个板块，加上自己的一些观点，想法，再注意一下细节就好了。

但是实际的情况却并非如此，从开始上第二次论文写作课开始，我就否定了之前的想法。

从这门课程里，我学到了许多我“意料之外”的东西，比如论文格式，论文种类，如何写好一片论文，如何查找论文材料等等。

哪怕就是我所知道的，也有一些不同，在细节上的要求，对内容的要求等等。

最有趣的是，老师在课上予我们许多有趣的知识，外国的人文，写作风格等等，不仅开拓了我的眼界，还加深了我对英文论文的理解。

学校开设一门课程总是有它存在的意义，我一直以来都相信这一点。

论文写作课在大四学年中来得匆匆，去得也匆匆，但是仍给了我许多惊喜和知识，技巧。

作为一名大四学生，我真心觉得从中受益匪浅。
