教学目标
1.学生能听懂、会读、会写本节课的单词: background, orbit, lock, microphone, research, scientist。

2.学生能掌握几个重点句型:
–He spent about twenty-one hours in space.
–Liu Yang is the first Chinese woman to go to space.
–What did he do in space?
3.学生能够口头表述关于宇航员在太空中生活的内容。

教学重难点
•重点:学习并掌握本节课的单词和重点句型。

•难点:让学生了解与太空有关的词汇,把握宇航员们在太空中的生活。

教学PPT,单词卡片,视频资源。

教学步骤
步骤一:导入新课
1.Greeting and warming up T:Good morning/ afternoon, class! S:Good morning/ afternoon, Miss/ Mr. [teacher’s name]! T:How are you today? S:I’m fine/ not very well/ sleepy/ happy… T:OK, let’s begin. Can anyone tell me what we are going to learn today? S:We are going to
learn Unit1 of Module 7 – He spent about twenty-one hours in space. T:That’s right. And do you know what a space is? S:Yes/ no, Miss/ Mr [teacher’s name]. T:Good. We are going to talk about space and the
life of astronauts in space today.
2.Lead-in T:Look at these pictures and guess what they are about? [S+T show several pictures of astronauts, space stations, rockets, etc.] S:[Raise hands and answer.] T:Yes, they are related to space. Have you ever been to space before? S:No, we haven’t. T:But do you know anyone who has been to space? S:Yes, we do! T:Who is he/ she? S:Yuri Gagarin, Liu Yang, … T:They are famous astronauts who have traveled to space.
OK, let’s watch a video about how an astronaut spends his time in the space.
步骤二:学习新单词和短语
1.Presentation T:Now, let’s learn some new vocabulary. Look at these pictures and listen to me carefully. Repeat and spell the words after me. [Show the pictures of background, orbit, lock, microphone, research, scientist and repeat the pronunciation.]
2.Practice T:Now, let’s practice. I’ll show you the picture of
one word and you need to give me the word. [Show the picture and ask Ss to answer.]
步骤三:全文阅读与练习
1.Skimming and scanning T:Read the article silently. Try to get some general ideas and answer the following questions. (1) Who spent twenty-one hours in space? (2) How long was he in space? (3) What did he do in space? S: [Read the article and answer.] T:Good. Now, let’s read the article again and try to find out the meaning of the following words.
(1) background (2) orbit (3) lock (4) microphone (5) research (6) scientist.
2.Reading aloud and discussion T:Now let’s read the article aloud together. [Ss read the article aloud together.] T:What do you think of astronauts’ life in space? S:It’s amazing. I want to be an astronaut. T:Why? S:Because I want to see the universe and explore the unknown. T:That’s great. But being an as tronaut is not easy. You need to have good health, excellent academic performance and strong willpower. Let’s
watch a video about Liu Yang – the first Chinese woman who went to space and see how she prepared for her space journey.
步骤四:练习与作业
1.Role-play T:Now let’s do a role-play. You are going to be astronauts and talk about how you spend your time in space. Use the words we learned today. [Ss work in pairs and practice the dialogue.]
2.Homework T: For your homework, I’d like you to write a diary
entry in English, imagining that you are an astronaut in the space. What did you see and feel? What did you do? What was your day like?
教学反思
本节课主要通过阅读文章和相关视频的方式,让学生了解到了宇航员在太空中的生活,同时巩固了词汇和重点句型的学习。

而家庭作业则可以进一步地让学生进行主观想象和口头表达的训练,既增强了语言表达能力,又能够激发学生的兴趣,提高学习成果的效果。
