Teaching aims
1.能听懂,会说并运用句型What’s your name? How old are you? Have some... No, thanks. Can I have some...? Thanks/Thank you. Wait a minute. Go away等。
2.能在教师和图片的帮助下,理解故事大意。
3.能够正确朗读故事并能进行表演。
4. 能明白并养成对待陌生人时要冷静,不随表和陌生人聊天的意识。

Teaching process
Step1. Warming-up
1.Enjoy a song.
Ss listen to a song and answer the question: What animals do you hear in the song?
2.Review animals.
3.T: Monkeys like to eat bananas, tigers like to eat meat, elephants like to eat peanuts. What about the cat?
Ss: It likes to eat fish.
T: The cats like to eat fish, rats and small birds.
Step 2. Presentation
1.Present the part one of the story
(1)T:In our story, there are two birds. Let’s think the relationship between 2 birds.
Ss: They are mother bird and baby bird.
(2)T: The mother bird has a glass of water in her hand. What will she say? What will the baby bird say?
(Ss predict and the listen to the record to check their answers.) (Teach: Wait a
minute.)
(3)Let’s act.
2.Present the part two of the story
(1)T: The mother bird goes back to take bread. And the baby bird flies to the ground. Who will he meet?
Ss: He will meet the cat/...
(Listen to the sound of cat.)Ss: He will meet the cat.
(2)PPT present a black cat and the baby bird.
Listen and answer
--The black cat’s name is ______.
--The baby bird’s name is ______. He’s ____ years old.
(3)Listen and repeat; Let’s act.
3.Present the part three of the story
(1)T:What happened next? Let’s watch.
(PPT show the flash.)
(2)T: What does Tom say?
S1: Look at your head. I like it.
S2: Look at your face. I like it.
S3: Look at your body. I like it.
(T 示范并引导学生关注、体会I like it 的三种不同的,逐渐递增的情感。
)
(3)Ss look at the pictures carefully and find the changes of distance between Tom and Bobby with the help of T.
(4)T: Bobby is in danger. Who can help him?
Ss: His mother.
T: Yes, his mother comes and says:”Go away.” Bobby is safe now.
(Teach: Go away.)

Step 4. Consolidation
(1)T: What do you think of the black cat, the mother bird and Bobby? (Ss can say their opinions in Chinese.)
