Teaching objectives:
1.To learn the new expressions for snack
2.To learn to make polite requests using Could you please …?/ Could I ….
3. To have student to catch some listening skills
4. Encourage students to help their parents do chores.
Important and difficult teaching points:
1. Make polite requests and ask for permission.
2.Improve speaking and listening skills.
Emotional goals:To make polite requests and ask for permission; To helped parents do more chores at home;To learn to thank our parents for their hard work..
Teaching methods:
1 Communicative approach
2 Question and answer method
3 Listening exercise method
Teaching assistance: blackboard and chalk, computer , PPT, tape recorder
教学过程:
Step1. warming-up
Show some pictures about parties to make students talk about them with the following questions:
---What are they doing?
---Do you want to have a party too?
---Mom, could I have a party?
Step 2. Presentation
1)Discussion in groups
Did you have a party before?
What should we do before a party?
2) Finish1a. Who can ask them? Write “parents” or “teenagers”。

3) Pair work to finish1b. Make conversations with the phrases in 1a. Make a model first.

Mother: Could you clean your room?
Child:Yes, I can.
Child:Could I invite my friends to a party?
Mother: No, you can’t have a party. You have a test on Monday
4) Listening practice.
a. Pre-listening
Sandy is going to have a party. Discuss with the Ss about what she should prepare for.
b. While-listening
Listen to the material and check the things in activity 1a.
c. Post-listening
Listen again and fill in the chart. And then complete the conversation.
Give Ss some listening skills.
d. Pair-work
According to the listening material, make some small conversations and let the students practice them in pairs.
Step 3. Production
1)Watch a video first
2)Parents do a lot of things in our growing-up. Discuss how we should thank our parents
for their hard work
3)How to make a birthday party for our mother? Maybe, you will have some problems.
And you need your classmates’ help. How do you ask for help? Make new
conversations.

Step 4 Summary and practice
1. Design some exercises to finish in class. Work out the exercises and remember them with the students together.
2. Summary: retell what the students have learnt in this class.
Step 5. Homework
Arrange some other exercises for the students to complete.
