I also ask if they have any dietary restrictions or allergies, so that I can inform the kitchen staff.
While the guests are waiting for their food, I make
sure to check on them regularly to see if they need
anything. I refill their drinks, bring them additional condiments or utensils, and engage in small talk to make them feel comfortable.
When the food is ready, I serve it to the guests with a smile. I make sure to place the plates in front of the correct person, and ask if there's anything else they need before I leave the table. I also check back after a few minutes to see if everything is to their satisfaction.
After the guests have finished their meal, I bring them the bill and ask if they would like to pay by cash or card.
I make sure to thank them for dining with us and invite them to come back again in the future. I also offer to call a taxi or assist them in any other way they may need.
