1. 用It is/was that/who句型表示强调。

e.g. It was yesterday that he met Li Ping.

e.g. Was it yesterday that he met Li Ping?
+is/was+it+that/who+其它部分?e.g. When and where was it that you were born?

2. notuntil
It is/was not until+被强调部分+that+其它部分:
e.g. 普通句:He didn't go to bed until/till his wife came back.
It was not until his wife came back that he went to bed.

如:Do come early.

He did send you a letter last week.

The housework they asked people about was: preparing meals, washing dishes, cleaning the house and babysitting. 48% of British husbands said they did these things. 37% of Danish (丹麦的) men helped in the house. But only 15% of Italian men said they did the housework; many of them said they never helped at all!
But there was an interesting point of view from the wives. According to British wives, only 38% of their husbands helped in the house. And Italian wives said that their husbands hardly ever helped. The Italian and British men did not tell the truth! The Commission found that Danish men were the most tr uthful husbands; their answers were the same as their wives’ answers.

23. There were once two brothers who lived on the 80th level. On coming home one day, they realized that the lifts were not working and that they had to climb the stairs home.
After reaching the 20th level, breathing quickly and tired, they decided to abandon their bags and come back for them the next day. They left their bags then and climbed on. When they struggled to the 40th level, the younger brother started to complain and both of them began to quarrel all the way to the 60th floor. They then realized that they had only 20 levels more to climb and decided to stop quarrelling and continue climbing in peace. They silently climbed on and reached their home at last. Both of them stood calmly before the door and then realized that the key was in their bags which were left on the 20th floor.
This story is a reflection of our life. Many of us live under the high expectations of our parents, teachers and friends. We seldom get to do the things that we really like and love and are under so much pressure and stress that by the age of 20,we get tired and decide to throw away this load.
Being free of the stress and pressure,we work eagerly and dream great wishes. But by the time we reach 40 years old,we start to lose our dreams. We begin to feel unsatisfied and start to complain and criticize. Reaching 60,we realize that we have little left for complaining any more and we begin to walk the final episode(一段时期)in peace and calmness. We think that
there is nothing left to disappoint us,only to realize that we could not rest in peace because we have an unfulfilled dream—a dream we gave up 60 years ago.
