青岛令人印象深刻的旅游经历英语作文My Awesome Trip to Qingdao
Last summer, my family and I went on the coolest trip ever to Qingdao! Qingdao is a beautiful city right on the coast in Shandong Province in China. We had such an amazing time exploring all the fun sights and trying delicious food. I'm going to tell you all about our awesome Qingdao adventure!
We took the high-speed train from Beijing, which was really fast and comfortable. I loved watching the countryside zoom by outside the window. After a few hours, we finally arrived in Qingdao. As soon as we stepped off the train, I could smell the salty ocean air. I was so excited!
The first stop on our trip was the Qingdao Aquarium. It's humongous - one of the biggest aquariums in the whole world! We saw so many incredible marine animals up close like sharks, rays, sea turtles, and colorful tropical fish. My favorite was the huge oceanarium tank with the underwater tunnels you could walk through. I felt like I was underwater swimming with the fish! We also watched a really fun dolphin and seal show.
Next, we visited Qingdao's famous beaches. Qingdao has some of the most beautiful sandy beaches in China. We spent a
whole day just hanging out, swimming, and playing in the waves at Huiquan Beach. The water was so refreshingly cool and clear. We also visited the smaller but super pretty Xiaoyushan Beach hidden in a little cove. I loved collecting all the cool shells I could find!
One of the highlights was taking a boat tour along the Qingdao coast. We sailed past rocky cliffs, picturesque islands, and historic sites like the Old Stone Man and Bird's Nest. Our guide taught us that Qingdao used to be owned by Germany a long time ago, which is why there are so many European-style buildings. We even got to see the iconic Zhanqiao Pier stretching far out into the ocean.
Speaking of historic sites, we spent a morning at Signal Hill Park learning about Qingdao's past. We climbed up to the old stone observation tower at the top of the hill. From there, we had a panoramic view of the whole city and Qingdao's famous skyline with all the skyscrapers along the coast. The park had so many other cool things too like colonial-era army fortresses, giant sculptures, and pretty gardens.
No trip to Qingdao would be complete without stuffing our faces with amazing seafood! We ate so much delicious food like fresh seafood straight from the ocean, salty and savory Qingdao
lu (a type of pastry), and sweet and tart green lemon pie. My favorite was the piping hot xiaomian - tiny soup noodles with seafood and veggies in a rich broth. We probably went a little overboard eating so much rich food, but it was too good to resist!
On our last couple of days, we went to some theme parks for fun and games. First up was the massive Huanghaiwan Island Park with its huge rollercoasters, carnival rides, and game booths.
I went on the upramp coaster that did a full 360 vertical loop - it was both terrifying and thrilling! We also visited Polar Ocean World, which had an aquarium but also had rides and experiences themed around polar animals like penguins, seals, and beluga whales. I got to watch a walrus munching on a whole bucket of fish!
Our last stop was Window of the World, which was honestly one of the coolest parks I've ever been to. It has over a hundred reproductions of famous landmarks and architecture from all around the world shrunk down to miniature size. We got to see perfect tiny versions of the Pyramids, Eiffel Tower, Taj Mahal, Leaning Tower of Pisa and so many more! My mind was blown at how realistic and detailed all the models were. I felt like I had traveled across the entire planet in just an afternoon.
After a fun-filled week, we were thoroughly tuckered out but utterly delighted with our Qingdao vacation. I have so many amazing memories of swimming in the sea, devouring fresh seafood, gawking at miniature world wonders, and just reveling in how naturally beautiful Qingdao is. I'm already dreaming about when I can go back again! If you ever get the chance to visit, I highly recommend taking a trip to wonderful Qingdao - you definitely won't regret it!。
