The Nobel Prize usually goes to doctors, writers or scientists. But this year a sin ger has won it for the first time.
This month United States musician Bob Dylan was awarded the 2016 Nobel Prize for Literature. Accord ing to the Nobel Prize website, the rock lege nd, who was 75 years
old, won the prize for having created newpoetic expressions (诗歌的表达)within the great American song tradition.
People regard Dylan as an informal US historian. Many of his famous songs were written in the 1960s, when he sung about improving the rights of black Americans and protesting (抗议) the
