Teaching procedures:
Step 1 Warm up(3mins)
T (teacher): Hello, boys and girls, my name is Jelly Zhang. So you can call me Ms Zhang. Are you ready? Good! Class begin. Good morning, boys and girls. Ss: Good morning , Ms Zhang.
T: How are you? --I am fine. Thank you.
How old are you? --Eight or Nine.
Step 2 Lead in (7mins)
1.T: Now, look at this PPT. What is this?
Ss: rabbit, duck, chicken, turtle, snake, monkey, cat, dog, tiger, elephant.
2.Read these animals words twice together. Wonderful.
T: Let’s play a game. What’s missing word?
Step 3 Presentation (15 mins)
T: Today we will learn a new animal. Look, this is deer. Teach deer and one by one.
T: What can you see in this picture?
S: deer, rabbit, green grass, blue sky.
T: What are they doing?
S:Running.
T: Look these red words. Follow me, Smile Please. Teach smile. Its meaning is like a smile face. Draw a smile face on the blackboard.
T: Now, let’s read this interesting story together.
1.A deer was racing in the forest. Teach racing this word. We can make three students to show how is racing.
2.He was ahead of the rabbit. He was ahead of the elephant. Teach ahead this word use actions and picture.
3.He jumped across the stream. Teach jumped across and stream.
4.He ran past the wall. Tell Ss ran past is same to jumped across. And teach wall this words.
5.There was a large stone on the ground. He stumbled and fell down. Explain two sentences. Teach stone this word.
6.He burst into tears. Just say say tears.
7.The monkey massaged his leg. Tears flowed from the deer’s eyes. Just say say massaged this word with some actions. Teach leg this word.
8.Bear picked him up. The deer didn’t stop crying. Just say say picked him up.
9.His mother came. She said,〞look, we’ll beat up this bad stone.〞Teach beat up this phrase.
10.The deer said,〞oh, don’t do that or he will also start crying.〞His mother laughed. So did the deer. Explain these sentences’ meaning. Guide this deer don’t have tears, but so sweet.
