托福tpo 20 作文参考the successful people to try new things and take risks rather than doing

Living in the modern society where there are a great number of successful people surrounding us, we are blessed with an array of golden opportunities to learn a lot from their high esteemed values, precious experiences and brilliant wisdom, and finally we could live up to be wiser, stronger and maybe healthier individuals. However, if whether the difference between the ordinary people and successful people lies in the courage of the successful people to try new things and take risks rather than doing what they already know how to do well, I will say “by all means”.To begin with, successful people tend to accept new values. For one thing, new values are sometimes not native to the nation they are living in, but they are beneficial to the society in some way, it is always the successful people who are able to combine the current situation with new values to help improve the spirits of the society, thus the demerits, misunderstanding and prejudice of the new values will be removed and the merits will be realized. For another thing, successful people have keen sights to find out the advantages of the new value, and they would like to spare no effort to publicize the new values to the public, it is just because of their curiosity of trying new things that the society could lay a solid foundation for the improvement of the social morality. What is more, successful people would like to embrace the new technology. As we all know, it is always the case that technology has reshaped our studying, working as well as teaching ways, but without the successful people as pioneers to take varied risks, such as making inventions against the dogma or improving a certain function of a product though it couldn’t help to make profits in the short period, we could never live a convenient, comfortable and colorful life. Thus it is due to the successful people who are willing to try new things and take risks that make a big difference.Last of all, successful people would be inclined to adapt to new environment. Successful people are extremely good at looking for opportunities and once they find the appropriate ones, they would have the courage to the jump out of their comfort zone and to join themselves in the new environment. Though the new environment will not as comfortable as their former one, yet they could improve themselves step by step to adapt to it and finally make a difference in their environment. Thus it is rational to say that successful people are those who dare to change and try new things and make themselves adapt to new environment. To sum up, I do strongly believe that instead of doing what they already know how to do well, successful people try new things and take risks. After all, chances are given to those who want to take risks all the time.。

托福写作范文185字(实用6篇)

托福写作范文185字第1篇Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Parents are the best teachers. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.Throughout my life, I have been lucky enough to have a very good relationship with my parents. They have supported me, given me necessary criticism, and taught me a great deal about how to live my life. Parents can be very important teachers in our lives; however, they are not always the best teachers.Parents may be too close to their children emotionally. Sometimes they can only see their children though the eyes of a protector. For example, they may limit a child's freedom in the name of safety. A teacher might see a trip to a big city as a valuable new experience. However, it might seem too dangerous to a parent.Another problem is that parents may expect their children's interests to be similar to their own. They can't seem to separate from their children in their mind. If they love science, they may try to force their child to love science too. But what if their child's true love is art, or writing, or car repair?Parents are usually eager to pass on their value to their children. But should children always believe what their parents do? Maybe different generations need different ways of thinking. When children are young, they believe that their parents are always rights. But when they get older, they realize there are other views. Sometimes parents, especially older ones, can't keep up with rapid social or technology changes. A student who has friends of all different races and backgrounds at school may find that her parents don't really understand or value the digital revolution. Sometimes kids have to find their own ways to what they believe in.The most important thing to realize is that we all have many teachers in our lives. Our parents teach us, our teachers teach us, and our peers teach us. Books and newspapers and television also teach us. All of them are valuable.#( Books and newspapers) : Books, newspapers托福写作范文185字第2篇A company has announced that it wishes to build a large factory near your community. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of this new influence on your community. Do you support or oppose the factory? Explain your position.New factories often bring many good things to a community, such as jobs and increased prosperity. However, in my opinion, the benefits of having a factory are outweighed by the risks. That is why I oppose the plan to build a factory near my community.I believe that this city would be harmed by a large factory. In particular, a factory would destroy the quality of the air and water in town. Factories bring smog and pollution. In the long run, the environment will be hurt and people’s health will be affected. Having a factory is not worth that rise.Of course, more jobs will be created by the factory. Our population will grow. To accommodate more workers, more homes and stores will be needed. Do we really want this much growth, so fast? If our town is going in growth, I would prefer slow growth with good planning. I don’t want to see rows of cheaply constructed townhouses. Our quality of life must be considered.I believe that this growth will change our city too much. I love my hometown because it is a safe, small town. It is also easy to travel here. If we must expand to hold new citizens, the small-town feel will be gone. I mould miss that greatly.A factory would be helpful in some ways. However, I feel that the dangers are greater than the benefits. I cannot support a plan to build a factory here, and hope that others feel the same way.托福写作范文185字第3篇Nowadays, food has become easier to prepare. Has this change improved the way people live? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer. The twentieth century has brought with it many advances. With those advances, human lives have changed dramatically. In some ways life is worse, but mostly it is better. Changes in food preparation methods, for example, have improved our lives greatly. The convenience of preparing food today is amazing. Even stoves have gotten too slow for us. Microwave cooking is much easier. We can press a few buttons and a meal is completely cooked in just a short time. People used to spend hours preparing an oven-cooked meal, and now they can use that time for other, better things. Plus, there are all kinds of portable, prepackaged foods we can buy. Heat them in the office microwave, and lunch at work is quick and easy.Food preparation today allows for more variety. With refrigerators and freezers, we can preserve a lot of different foods in our homes. Since technology makes cooking so much faster, people are willing to make several dishes for even a small meal. Parents are more likely to let children be picky, now that they can easily heat them up some prepackaged macaroni and cheese on the side. Needless to say, adults living in the same house may have very different eating habits as well. If they don’t want to cook a lot of different dishes, it’s common now to eat out at restaurants several times a week.Healthful eating is also easier than ever now. When people cook, they use new fat substitutes and cooking sprays to cut fat and calories. This reduces the risk of heart disease and high cholesterol. Additionally, we can buy fruits and vegetable fresh, frozen or canned. They are easy to prepare, so many of us eat more of those nutritious items daily. A hundred years ago, you couldn’t imagine the process of taking some frozen fruit and ice from the freezer, adding some low-fat yogurt from a plastic cup and some juice from a can in the refrigerator, and whipping up a low-fat smoothie in the blender! Our lifestyle is fast, but people still like good food. What new food preparation technology has given us is more choices. Today, we can prepare food that is more convenient, healthier, and of greater variety than ever before in history.托福写作范文185字第4篇MA If you could change one important thing about your hometown, what would you change? Use reasons and specific examples to support your answer. If I could change one thing about my hometown, I think it would be the fact that there's no sense of community here. People don't feel connected, they don't look out for each other, and they don't get to know their neighbors.People come and go a lot here. They change jobs frequently and move on. This means that they don't put down roots in the community. They don't join community organizations and they're not willing to get involved in trying to improve the quality of life. If someone has a petition to put in a new street light, she has a very hard time getting a lot of people to sign. They don't feel it has anything to do with them. They don't get involved in improving the schools because they don't think the quality of education is important to their lives. They don't see the connection between themselves and the rest of their community.People don't try to support others around them. They don't keep a friendly eyes on their children, or check in on older folks if they don't see them for a few days. They're not aware when people around them may be going through a hard time. For example, they may not know if a neighbor loses a loved one. There's not a lot of community support for individuals. Neighbors don't get to know each other. Again, this is because people come and go within a few years. So when neighbors go on vacation, no one is keeping an eye on their house. No one is making sure nothing suspicious is going on there, like lights in the middle of the night. When neighbors' children are cutting across someone's lawn on their bikes, there's no friendly way of casually mentioning the problem. People immediately act as if it's a major property disagreement. My hometown is a nice place to live in many ways, but it would be much nice if we had that sense of community.托福写作范文185字第5篇People attend college or university for many different reasons (for example, new experiences, career preparation, increased knowledge). Why do you think people attend college or university? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.People attend colleges or universities for a lot of different reasons. I believe that the three most common reasons are to prepare for a career, to have new experiences, and to increase their knowledge of themselves and the world around them.Career preparation is becoming more and more important to young people. For many, this is the primary reason to go to college, They know that the job market is competitive. At college, they can learn new skill for careers with a lot of opportunities. This means careers, such as information technology, that are expected to need a large workforce in the coming years. Also, students go to colleges and universities to have new experiences. This often means having the opportunity to meet people different from those in their hometowns. For mosts tudents, going to college is the first time they’ve been away from home by themselves. In additions, this is the first time they’ve had to make decisions on their own. Making these decisions increases their knowledge of themselves.Besides looking for self-knowledge, people also attend a university or college to expand their knowledge in subjects they find interesting. For many, this will be their last chance for a long time to learn about something that doesn’t relate to their career.I would recommend that people not be so focused on a career. They should go to college to have new experiences and learn about themselves and the world they live in.托福写作范文185字第6篇It has been said, “Not every thing that is learned is contained in books.” Compare and contrast knowledge gained from experience with knowledge gained from books. In your opinion, which source is more important? Why?“Experience is the best teacher” is an old cliché, but I agree with it. The most important, and sometimes the hardest, lessons we learn in life come from our participation in situations. You can’ learn everything from a book.Of course, learning from books in a formal educational setting is also valuable. It’s in schools that we learn the information we need to function in our society. We learn how to speak and write and understand mathematical equations. This is all information that we need to live in our communities and earn a living.Nevertheless, I think that the most important lessons can’t be taught; they have to be experienced. No one can teach us how to get along with others or how to have self-respect. As we grow from children into teenagers, no one can teach us how to deal with peer pressure. As we leave adolescence behind and enter adult life, no one can teach us how to fall in love and get married. This shouldn’t stop us from looking for guidelines along the way. Teachers and parents are valuable sources of advice when we’re young. As we enter into new stages in our lives, the advice we receive from them is very helpful because they have already bad similar experiences. But experiencing our own triumphs and disasters is really the only way to learn how to deal with life.。

智课网TOEFL备考资料托福TPO独立写作TPO20Successful people try new things and take risks rather than only doing what they know how to do well.题目翻译成功人士尝试新事物并且冒险,而不是只去做他们擅长的事。

审题关键词New things, Take risks, Know how to do well论证分析正: Knowing what to do and what is going on next are the two basic principles in life.反: At the same time, taking risks in special situations ensures the success.范文We are all interested in finding out how successful people gain success. A majority of people claim that successful people tend to take risks and avoid only doing what they already know. This statement is somewhat reliable since successful people indeed do something unusual. However, their unusual behavior is based on things that have been known for a long time.Let us take Albert Einstein as the first example. As we all know, he invented the theory of Quantum Mechanics, which was so different from what people already knew in physics. This theory led to his personal success in the field of theoretical physics. However, almost all of us ignore the fact that he also did really well in traditional physics. He made his discovery based on his research on traditional physics. A more recent example is Steve Jobs, who was the chief executive officer of Apple. We usually oversee his achievement in the innovative Apple system and applications. In fact, without deep knowledge of basic computer system or electronic devices, he could not have put his innovation into use. Actually, successful people do take risks after they have done what they have known for sure.Basic things can provide proof for innovative actions. Before taking risks, we just need to evaluate the risks and its proof. Anything in the world should have solid proof, or it can never become reality. To become successful, we just need to learn better about basic things, or things we have already known well, in the first place. Just as Steve and Albert, suppose they had no background knowledge at all, how could they have taken risks that are challenging?Another importance of things we know is that they enlighten us on different aspects. By the time we do things that are quite familiar well, we can easily find out their limitations and come up with some methods of improvement. Einstein first did his research on lights, which was so familiar with people at that time, and found out some limitations of the characters of lights. Without background information, we just cannot see the little faults, let alone take risks doing something unusual. All in all, people who get final success actually do try things and take risks, but actually their risky behavior is based on what they have already known well. So the basic step for their success is to do familiar things well. This must be the philosophy of any successful people, and, should also be the philosophy of all of us as well.满分要素剖析语言表达本文长短句结合,错落有致,很有节奏感。

)相关题目:[168]『范文』After graduating from high school many young people have the option to directly enter the work force. Most students who have the opportunity, however, decide to go to college before finding jobs. They attend college to obtain more choices, higher salaries, and more opportunities for advancement in an increasingly competitive job market. Before attending college, students have a limited opportunity to specialize. After obtaining a specific college degree a job applicant can be competitive for previously unavailable jobs. For instance, applicants with Computer Science degrees would not only be qualified for jobs in high-tech companies, they would also be well prepared for any job with computer skills as a prerequisite. With a larger range of potential jobs to choose from, degree holders are more likely to find a job that suits their particular needs and interests.Additionally, employers are willing to pay a premium for highly qualified applicants. For example, many companies desire employees who are competent in more than one language and offer higher salaries to attract them. Even if a job applicant without a college degree has high standardized test scores, employers may still place a higher value on an applicant with similar test scores who also possesses credentials from a well-known university. Because of the extent to which a college degree is accepted by employers as proof of competence in a given field, college graduates are not only more likely to receive more job offers, they can also command higher salaries than applicants who lack college diplomas. Finally, in addition to offering more choices and higher salaries, a college degree offers access to jobs with a clear path towards professional advancement. A B.S. in biology, for example, could allow a student to find a job in a lab after graduation, a first step on the road towards a career in scientific research. The same major could also be used to apply to medical school, and a career as a doctor. Both of these avenues would be unavailable without taking the first step of an undergraduate degree in biology.2. Are parents the best teachers?Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Parents are the best teachers. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.『分析』因观点绝对而不能同意。

Therefore, it is kindof interesting to find out the reason behind.First of all, students can only learn fundamental knowledge during high school while they are able to focus on their own interested majors in universities. This period is the key to knowledge accumulation, which will contributea lot to the future of an individual. Moreover, universityis no doubt the symbol of high education. It offers more than pure knowledge. A degree from a university gives people certain identity that makes them stand out among their competitors. It can be seen from the fact that most international companies will only hire those whohave at least a Bachelor's degree.Sincere dreams might also be the reason for university or college. For instance, in the 60s and 70s, people in China experienced hard times. Many of them had to give up advanced education and take up the burdens of life at their early age. Now, as they became parents or even grandparents, their dream for university education had no doubt realized by their younger family members. Those young people, as reported, often study very hard in order to fulfill the expectations of two generations. There is no doubt that university can be the turning point of one's future, because higher education will provide people with not only knowledge prepared for their careers, but also the fulfillment of their life goals. Meanwhile, the society has improved its strength to sponsor higher education. Compared with the past, people now attend universities also because they are able to secure various scholarships and supports from different channels.A very good example is that many Chinese students are now studying in the U. S. Their incentive for application should be attributed to not only to their own performance but also the comprehensive education frameworks in the U. S. Broadly speaking, people who study in universities have their hopes: to fulfill themselves. At the same time, our society generously provides such an environment for people to achieve such goals. Therefore, when we see more and more fresh smiles on the campus of universities, let us just wish them a promising future.Topic 1 Why go to university?A university degree often helps a person achieve his goal with more ease. However, do we attend university just in pursuit of a degree? Does a university only provide us nothing beneficial besides a paper-made diploma? As far as I am concerned, we enjoy university education in the following aspects:Firstly, with the knowledge learned at a university, we will have a deep understanding of our society. It is true that genuine knowledge comes from practice, but it cannot be denied that genuine knowledge tells us how to practice. A systematic study in a college or a university, of course, enables us to realize how the society works and how to cope with certain problems arising from it in a more efficiently, and more skillful way.Second, a university education usually makes it possible that we get hold of a decent job. As a result of the accomplishment of a four-year study, it is not difficult for us to find a good job in most cases. How can we imaginethat a graduate majoring in astronomy has to be a vendor in the street! No doubt, he/she should sit in his/her laboratory, doing research on aircraft science before a computer. Obviously, a university education assures him/her adecent job.Last but not least, we can help others much better if we put what we have learned at a university into practice. A university education fortifies our values, enhance our skills, and broaden our horizons. With those, we are more capable of giving a hand to those who are in need of help.Knowledge is power. When achieving a degree at a university, we can get a better understanding of the society, find a decent job in an easy way, and help others better. All of those are due to the knowledge learned at a university.Topic 2 Are parents best teachers?Obviously, the first teachers we have in our lives in most cases are our parents. They teach us to walk, to speak, and to have good manners before we reach “the real world. ” More than even the professional teachers that wehave at school, parents are generally the most involved inthe development and education of children.Almost for sure our parents are the best teachers at thebeginning of our lives, which actually corresponds to the parents' role in nature. Parents are most committed and involved in teaching their children; they have a kind of instinct to sacrifice a part of themselves for the betterment of their children. They love us and have great patiencewhile passing down their knowledge to us. Theywish us a success and thus will not teach us bad things. And of course, implicit learning occurs when childrenunconsciously copy some of their parents' habits andstyles of behavior.During the second stage of child development, adolescence, parents can still be in the best position to offer advice even though the children might not accept it. Inthis case, perhaps the child's friends would be the bestteachers. Adolescents are notoriously rebellious in manycultures and may automatically reject any advice fromtheir parents. My first marriage for instance, was solely amatter of doing the opposite when my parents tried tointrude in offering their advice. So in such matters, parentsshould be much more flexible and be rather thepartners with their children. So we can see that being a teacher of growing child become more and more complicated case as the time passes and many parents are simply not able to meet the increased demands. On the other hand, I would say that parents are not proSample Essays for the TOEFL Writing Test (TWE) - Answers to All TOEFL Essay Questions6 fessional teachers and they tend to be very biased by their love of their children. So wishing good things and an easy life may prevent children from maturation. In any case, parents usually can present only one viewpoint of the world, while good teaching should be based on different attitudes. Thus, when children go to school and have a great diversity of teachers, they learn much more than their parents could probably give them. Furthermore, once our parents get older, they become more conservative and cannot always be objective in regard to moderntrends and fashions. Thus we need to take their advicewith caution during that period. However, some kind ofintuition that I believe shared between relatives aboutwhat everybody needs and great love that exists in familiesstill makes our parents very good teachers and advisers at any time.In conclusion, while parents are not the ideal teachers, and well-rounded children will generally need a great diversity of teachers in their lives in order to have a more accurate view of the world, parents are generally the mostcommitted of all teachers and have the greatest emotional investment in their children and their future.

Question:Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?Successful people try new things and take risks rather than only doing whatthey know how to do well.Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.托福TPO20独立写作范文:We are all interested to find out how successful people gain success. Amajority of people claim that successful people tend to take risks and avoidonly doing what they have already know. This statement is somewhat reliablesince successful people indeed do something unusual. However, their unusualbehavior is based on things that have been known for a long time.Let’s take Albert Einstein as the first example. As we all know, heinvented the theory of Quantum Mechanics, which is so different from what wehave already known in physics. This theory led to his personal success in thefield of theoretical physics. However, almost all of us ignore the fact that healso did really well in traditional physics. He made his discovery based on hisresearch on traditional physics. A more recent example is Steve Jobs, who is thechief executive officer of Apple. We usually oversee his achievement in theinnovative Apple systemand applications. In fact, without deep knowledge of basic computer systemor electronic devices, he cannot put his innovation into use. Actually, successful people do take risks after they have done what they have known for sure. Basic things can provide proof for innovative actions. Before taking risks, we just need to evaluate the risks and its proof. Anything in the world should have solid proof, or it can never become reality. To become successful, we just need to learn better about basic things, or things we have already known well, in the first place. Just as Steve and Albert, suppose they have nobackground knowledge at all, how can they take risks challenging?Another importance of things we know is that they can provide someenlightens. By the time we do things that are quite familiar well, we can easily find out their limitations and come out with some methods of improvement.Einstein first did his research on lights, which is so familiar with people at time, and find out some limitations of the characters of lights. Withoutbackground information, we just cannot see the little faults, let alone take risks doing something unusual. All in all, people who get final success actually do try things and takerisks, but actually their risky behavior is based on what they have already know well. So the basic step for their success is to do familiar things well. This must be the philosophy of any successful people, and, is should also be the philosophy of all of us as well.想要下载托福TPO写作1-48综合写作文本+独立写作题目+部分独立写作范文,请提交“姓名+电话+邮箱”,我们将于12小时内发送给你!。

The ¡°let it burn¡± policy assumed that forest fire would burn themselves out quickly, without causing much damage. However, in the summer of 1988, forest fires in Yellowstone, the most famous national park in the country, burned for more than two months and spread over a huge area, encompassing more than 800,000 acres. Because of the large scale of the damage, many people called for replacing the ¡°let it burn¡± policy with a policy of extinguishing forest fires as soon as they appeared. Three kinds of damage caused by the ¡°let it burn¡± policy were emphasized by critics of the policy. First, Yellowstone fires caused tremendous damage to the park¡¯s trees and other vegetation. When the fires finally died out, nearly one third of Yellowstone¡¯s land had been scorched. Trees were charred and blackened from flames and smoke. Smaller plants were entirely incinerated. What had been a national treasure now seemed like a devastated wasteland. Second, the park wildlife was affected as well. Large animals like deer and elk were seen fleeing the fire. Many smaller species were probably unable to escape. There was also concern that the destruction of habitats and the disruption of food chains would make it impossible for the animals that survived the fire to return. Third, the fires compromised the value of the park as a tourist attraction, which in turn had negative consequences for the local economy. With several thousand acres of the park engulfed in flames, the tourist season was cut short, and a large number of visitors decided to stay away. Of course, local businesses that depended on park visitors suffered as a result.¡¡¡¡Íи£TPO20×ÛºÏд×÷ÌýÁ¦ÔÎÄÎı¾£º¡¡¡¡Actually fires are natural part of ecological cycle and their role is not just destructive but also creative. That is why the ¡°let it burn¡± policy is fundamentally a good one, even if it sometimes causes fires of the 1988 Yellowstone fire. Let's look at what happened after 1988 Yellowstone fire.First, vegetation. As you might imagine, scorched areas were in time colonized by new plants. As a matter of fact, the plants in Yellowstone became more diverse because the fire created an opportunity for certain plants that could not grow otherwise. For example, areas where the trees have been destroyed by fire could now be taken over by smaller plants that needed open and shaded space to grow. And another example, seeds of certain plants species won't germinate unless they're exposed to very high levels of heat. So, those plants started appearing after the fire as well. It's a similar story with the animals. Not only did their population recover, but the fire also created new opportunities. For instance, the small plants that replaced trees after the fire created an ideal habitat for certain small animals like rabbits and hares. And when rabbits and hares startedthriving, so did some predators that depended on them for food. So, certain food chains actually became stronger after the fire than they were before. And last, fires like 19888 Yellowstone fire would be a problem for tourism if they happened every year. But they don't. It was a very unusual combination of factors that year, low rainfall, unusually strong winds, accumulation of dry undergrowth that caused fire to be so massive. This combination has not occurred since and Yellowstone has not seen sucha fire since 1988. Visitors came back to the park next year and each year after that.¡¡¡¡Íи£TPO20×ÛºÏд×÷Âú·Ö·¶ÎÄ1£º¡¡¡¡The reading passage argues that the "let it burn" policy should be replaced bythe policy of extinguishing forest fires as soon as they appeared. However, the professor raises serious counterarguments against the reading paragraph by providing three aspects as listed below: First, according to the speaker, the natural forest fires are a cycle of creative even they have a large scale of the damage, and afterthe fires, new plants which became more diverse than before existed in the Yellowstone. For example, some big plants were replaced by the small ones appeared in the Yellowstonedue to the open and shaded lands. Another example is that it was a better place for certain seeds thanks to the high level of the heat. This point directly contradicts what the passage indicates. Second, the reading passage states that the fire wasa destruction of habitats and the disruption of the food chain. The professor, however, stated that the population had already recovered, and created some ideal habitatsfor the small animals such as rabbits and hares. Moreover, since the rabbits and hares began to live there, the predators who lived on them came to live in the Yellowstone, too. Therefore, certain food chain was stronger than before. This is another point where the listening opposes the reading passage. Third, quite different from whathad been stated in the reading passage, the lecturer said that the fire in 1988 was quite unusual and it did not happen every year. Moreover, the massive fire was causedby the low rain fall and the strong wind, which would not occur again. Besides, the victors still come back to the Yellowstone next year and each year after that. This point refutes the view stated in the reading passage.¡¡¡¡Íи£TPO20×ÛºÏд×÷Âú·Ö·¶ÎÄ2£º¡¡¡¡The reading passage argues that the "let it burn" policy should be replaced bythe policy of extinguishing forest fires as soon as they appeared. Topic20:小孩在农村比在大城市成长好,你同意与否?Topic 20 It is better for children to grow up in the countryside than in a big city. Do you agree or disagree? Use specific reasons and examples to develop your essay.[托福TOEFL参看范文之一]Topic: 20With the development of the transportation system and some residence institution, the world is getting smaller and smaller, and people are not restricted in only one area. In addition to the convenient condition, because there are different places with different cultures, living standards, education environment and other disparity, they are inclined to transfer from one place to the other. Is it better to move around than stay in one place? I believe there are no uniform answers, but in my opinion, I do agree with the claim that to move around is better than to stay in one place. Most people’s growth comes with the transfers in their life. As for me, when I was young I lived in a small county. Because the school in there was not suitable to me, I transferred from my little county to a city to get a better education. As soon as I got to the city, I was amazed that the world here was so different here as my hometown .If I still lived in my hometown, it was impossible for meto make the wildest guess at what the real world looked like. The first transfer has made me toimagine my own life and spur on me to go further. With the confidence, I went into a university which I would never think of it before. The university is located in a different city so that I have to come into another world. Compared with my living city, the one is more complicated in which there are different people, more convenient transportation, more competitive environment. I love all of this very much. Communicating with different students and teachers, I have learned muchfrom them which will benefit me throughout my life and my lifestyle. Now I am in a graduate school also so beautiful that I will never regret my selection of leaving my hometown because the transfer has given me a splendid life. Also, like we students, there are many adults transferring their work place in order to grasp better opportunities. No matter in industry, in agriculture or in service, workers have rights to choose their work companies which leads them to work from place to place and then they accumulate precious experience and skills to get priorities to others.People not only transfer in their own country, but also go abroad to get education, work or live through the rest of their life inappropriate countries. We can see that many students including me want to go to the foreign countries to study further and forge ourselves, and that many parents send their little sons or daughters to foreign countries to study. After all, diverse circumstances give persons new experience and broaden their narrow sight, even help them get morecomprehensive understanding of the world, the society and our life itself. However, some people may say that if people move around, they will pay for much such as money, time and energy. It is right to say that it takes one person some time to get used to his or her new environment, new personal relationship which indeed influences the growth of children, the efficiency of our work and the stability of our society and family. And I have to admit that people should make considerate plans before changing their places and may not transfer aimlesslyand frequently. But I think sometimes it is just all the friction that has made the world wealthier and more beautiful. Therefore, I still think it is better to travel around than to live in one place.[托福TOEFL参看范文之二]There are advantages and disadvantages to a childhood in either the country or a city. It's hard to say which is better. Growing up inthe country means a certain amount of isolation. You're in a small town or on a farm and not with a lot of people. Even more important, the people you meet every day tend to be just like you. Most will be the same race as you, have the same background as you, and will have gone to the same schools as you. In the city, the people you meet are all different. There are different races and different cultures. You get a more interesting mix.City people tend to come from a lot of different places and move around a lot. So, there isn't the sense of community in the city that you have in the country. People in the city can live in the same apartment building for twenty years and never get to know their neighbors. In the country, everybody knows everybody. For a child, this means the country is more secure. A child can get lost or hurt in the city and have no one to turn to. In the country, everyone's a neighbor. People in the country feel connected to each other.A child growing up in the city has the advantage of a lot of interesting and exciting places to visit. He or she can go to the zoo, museums, art galleries and concerts. There are a lot of restaurants with different kinds of food. It's easy to see every new movie that comes out. Children in the country don't have a lot of these activities nearby. All in all, I think a childhood in the city is better because itprepares you more for what real life is like.[托福TOEFL参看范文之三]Where is a better place for children to grow up, the countryside or the big city? The answer to this question differs from individual to individual. As far as I am concerned, it is better for children to grow up in a big city. Some people argue that the countryside is an ideal place for children to grow up. For one thing, it is less polluted than the city. The air is fresh in the countryside. The sky is bluer and the water is clearer. Living in such a place is good to the children’s health. For another, as children like playing, only the countryside can satisfy them well. They can run everywhere, play games in the field, swim in the river. On the contrary, the city cannot provide such places for children. Maybethey can only stay at home and watch TV.Although I do agree that growing up in the countryside has one or more advantages, I insist that it is far better to choose the city as the right place for children. To begin with, living in the city can broaden their horizons. They can meet a lot of people and hear a number of things that will never happen in the countryside. In addition, city means more chance to receive better education. In most countries, it is no doubt that the education level in the city ishigher than that of the country. As a result, children can meet better teachers and receive high quality of education in the city.Last but not least, children can also develop many hobbies in the city. They can learn to play the piano, draw and so on, which are impossible in the country. In conclusion, I believe that it is better for children to grow up in the city not only because it can broaden their horizons, but also because they can receive better education and have a chance to develop many hobbies there.。
