My favorite book is "Alive". The novel is the author Y u Hua's masterpiece. Y u Hua is not a prolific writer, but his works are very profound. Because of this novel, he won many prizes.

The protagonist of this novel, Xu Fugui was a landlord master during the period of the Republic of China, who lost all his possessions because of gamble. He lost all his relatives when he was old. At last, there was only a head of old caw accompanying him.

"Alive" reads depressed, but it well shows the chaos of the social environment at that time. It shows us a kind of live philosophy. By reading this book, I found life is full of both hope and disappointment, so we have to live in the moment every day and do not think about other unnecessary things.
