An audible click will be heard. The juicer is equipped with a safety mechanism that prevents it from being started unless the lid is correctly seated and secured in place with the safety arm.6) Now insert the plunger into the feed tube. Notice, that to make movement easier, the feed tube is equipped with a groove that fits together with the coupling in the top part of the feed tube.USING THE JUICER1) Slide the juice jug on to the spout.2) Get ready to process ingredients. Thoroughly wash all the ingredients before juicing them. After washing them, cut the ingredients into smaller pieces that will pass through the feed tube. You can empty out the pulp container while juicing, however, first turn the control dial to position "0" (off) and disconnect the power cord from the power socket. Then release the safety arm, remove the lid and carefully take out the container. Before continuing with the juicing process, put the empty pulp container back in its place and return the lid and lock the appliance with the safety arm. Then connect the power cord to the power socket and you can start the juicer again.Attention:This appliance is designed only for short term use. When juicing larger batches, do not use thisjuicer continuously for more than 60 seconds and always allow the juicer to cool down sufficientlybetween the individual runs for at least 60 seconds. After three juicing cycles, allow the applianceto cool down for at least 15 minutes.6) When you have finished using it, turn the juicer off, disconnect it from the power socket and cleanit out according to the instructions contained in the chapter Cleaning and maintenance.USEFUL TIPSBefore you start using the juicer, read the following tips which will help you achieve maximum juice yield, an optimal taste and also make your work easier:• Only use fresh and ripe fruit and vegetables as they contain more juice. The following types of fruit and vegetables are particularly suitable for juicing: pineapple, apple, orange, grapes, melons, cucumbers, carrot, celery, beetroot, tomatoes, etc. Do not juice unripe or overripe fruits and vegetables as they could negatively affect the taste of the juice.• With root vegetables (such as carrot or beetroot), always check before juicing that you have removed all soil, tops and leaves, and that you have washed everything thoroughly.• Fruits with large, hard seeds or stones (e.g. nectarines, peaches, mangoes, apricots, plums and cherries) must have their seeds or stones removed prior to juicing.• There is no need to remove edible peels (e.g. from apples, pears). It is only necessary to remove thick rinds (e.g. on oranges, pineapples). Furthermore, always also remove the white fibres in the centre of citrus fruits because they have a bitter taste.• When preparing apple juice, remember that its thickness depends on the type of apples that you are processing. The juicier the apple, the less thick the juice will be. Apple juice turns brown very quickly. You can slow down this process by adding a few drops of lemon juice.• This juicer is not suitable for processing leafy vegetables, herbs or fruits such as bananas, avocados, figs.• If you decide to store the juice in a refrigerator, do not leave it there for longer than a day. Freshly made juices quickly loses valuable vitamins.E N Juicer SJE 741BK / SJE 742RD / SJE 743WH RECIPESTomato juiceJuice 1 kg of fresh ripe tomatoes and serve immediately. 一种松香基小分子水凝胶剂及其形成的超分子水凝胶A pine resin-based small molecular hydrogelator and the supramolecular hydrogel formed by itHydrogels are a class of three-dimensional networks thatcan absorb a large amount of water while maintaining their solid-like structure. They have attracted significant attention in various fields, such as biomedical engineering, drug delivery, and tissue engineering, due to their unique properties. In recent years, there has been growinginterest in developing hydrogelators that are derived from natural sources. One particular type of natural material that has shown promise as a hydrogelator is pine resin. A hydrogelator isa compound capable of forming hydrogels through self-assembly. Pine resin, also known as rosin or colophony, is obtained from the sap of various types of pine trees. It consists mainly of resin acids, which are long-chain carboxylic acids.Research has shown that certain small molecules derivedfrom pine resin can act as effective hydrogelators. These small molecules have amphiphilic properties, meaning they possess both hydrophilic and hydrophobic regions. This property enables them to self-assemble in an aqueous environment and form a stable network structure within the gel.The formation of supramolecular hydrogels by these pineresin-derived small molecules involves several steps. First, the small molecules dissolve in an organic solvent such as ethanol or methanol. Then, water is added to the solutionto induce gelation. As water molecules interact with the hydrophilic regions of the small molecules, they disruptthe non-covalent interactions holding the gelator molecules together, leading to gel formation. The resulting supramolecular hydrogels exhibit several advantageous properties for various applications. For example, they have excellent mechanical strength andstability due to the network structure formed byintermolecular interactions between the gelator molecules. The gels also display good biocompatibility and biodegradability, making them suitable for biomedical applications. In addition, the porosity of the hydrogel network can be easily controlled by adjusting the concentration of the gelator or the solvent composition. This tunability allows for the encapsulation and controlled release of bioactive molecules, making these hydrogels promising candidates for drug delivery systems.Furthermore, these pine resin-derived hydrogels have shown potential in tissue engineering. The three-dimensional structure of the hydrogel provides a suitable environment for cell growth and proliferation. It can also mimic the extracellular matrix, facilitating cell adhesion and differentiation. In conclusion, pine resin-based small molecular hydrogelators have demonstrated their ability to form supramolecular hydrogels with unique properties. Thesehydrogels have great potential in various fields, including biomedical engineering, drug delivery, and tissue engineering. Further research and development in this area may lead to exciting advances and applications in the future.

1My School's Amazing Tree Planting AdventureLast Saturday was one of the most exciting and fun days I've had at my school in a long time. Our teachers organized a huge tree planting event, and every student from 1st grade all the way up to 6th grade got to participate! I had been really looking forward to it for weeks. The day started out dreary and rainy, which had me a little worried that the event might get canceled. But my mom said the trees actually like rainy weather for getting planted. Sure enough, when I arrived at school, everything was set up and ready to go despite the drizzle.First, we all gathered in the auditorium and Principal Wilson gave a speech about why planting trees is so important. He said trees produce oxygen for us to breathe, provide shade on hot days, prevent erosion by holding the soil in place, and create habitats for all kinds of birds and animals. He also taught us that trees actually help fight climate change by absorbing carbondioxide, which is a greenhouse gas that traps heat in the atmosphere. I didn't fully understand all the science, but I could tell this tree planting meant a lot to Principal Wilson and the teachers. After the speech, we headed outside to the big field behind the school. There were dozens of trees lying on tarps, still wrapped in their burlap sacks. The trees were all different kinds - oaks, maples, cherry blossoms, evergreens, and some I couldn't even recognize. Parent volunteers had already dug huge holes all across the field in careful rows. It was a muddy mess out there, but I just put on my rain boots and windbreaker and didn't mind at all.My class was assigned to an area on the far side of the field. We dragged four big maple trees over to our section and went to work! First, the parent volunteers showed us how to carefully cut away the burlap sacks from the root balls. Then they instructed us on how to gently place the trees into the holes, making sure the roots could spread out nicely. After the trees were situated upright in their holes, it was our job as students to shovel the dirt back in around the bases. We had to pack the soil in tightly to keep the tree secure and get rid of any air pockets. I loved digging in and flinging that rich, darkmud - don't worry, I made sure not to get any on my friends! Once the hole was filled back in, we gave the tree's base a generous soak with water from the hose to really settle everything in.My favorite part was putting the finishing touches on our newly planted trees. We got to add mulch in a wide circle around the base to help retain moisture and keep weeds away as the tree takes root. The mulch was made of shredded wood and bark and had a pleasantly earthy, woody smell. Finally, we pounded stakes into the ground around the trunk and secured the tree to them with rope to keep it stable and upright while it establishes itself.Over the course of the morning, we planted all four maple trees that way, as a team effort with everyone doing their part. I was so proud when I looked back at our work - four beautiful trees, ready to start growing! We had played a small part in making the world a little bit greener. After a pizza lunch courtesy of the PTA, we moved on to planting even more trees. My class shifted over to another section to help the younger kids from kindergarten and 1st grade who were having some trouble with the bigger trees. With our experience under our belts, we became the tree plantingexperts and guided the little ones on proper technique. I felt like a real arborist! In total, our school planted 82 new trees on the field that day! There were oaks, maples, cherry blossoms, birches, sweetgums, redbuds, and cedars spread out in neat, freshly mulched rows from one end of the field to the other. The rain had actually let up by early afternoon, and we all got to stand back and admire our handiwork under a few welcome rays of sunshine.Principal Wilson gathered us together one final time to thank everyone for our hard work. He said years from now, we'll be able to return to the school and find a whole small forest that we had planted ourselves, respread from those first 82 trees. He called it our living legacy - something to make our community healthier and greener for generations to come. A few parents were crying tears of pride, and I felt so moved by the thought of those tiny trees one day growing into a lush, beautiful canopy of greenery covering our field! As we walked home, exhausted but fulfilled, my friends and I talked about coming back to check on the trees and watch them grow bigger over the next few years of elementary school. We could already picture having picnics beneath their shady branches. I'm sure I'll never forget the day I became an officialtree planter. It gave me such a sense of accomplishment and care for the environment around me. Plus, dad says we can hug a tree we planted ourselves anytime we want! I already can't wait to come back next year and see how much taller "my" trees have gotten. Protecting nature is going to be my life's work - this was just the start of many more plantings, cleanups, and conservation efforts to come! Our class made the world a little bit better last Saturday, and that's something we can carry with us forever.篇2My School's Tree Planting DayLast Saturday was a very special day at my school. It was Tree Planting Day! All the students, teachers, and even some parents came together to plant new trees around our campus. I was so excited because I love nature and taking care of the environment. The day started with an assembly where the principal explained why planting trees is so important. She said that trees produce oxygen, which we need to breathe. They also provide homes for birds, squirrels, and other wildlife. Trees even help fight climate change by absorbing carbon dioxide, a greenhousegas that traps heat in our atmosphere. After hearing all the great things about trees, I couldn't wait to get started planting! We split up into small groups, and each group had an area assigned to plant trees. My group's job was to plant trees near the playground. First, we had to dig holes that were wide and deep enough for the tree roots to spread out. Digging in the hard dirt was tough work! We took turns using shovels while the others helped pull out rocks and weeds. Finally, the holes were ready, and it was time to put the tree saplings in the ground. The volunteers from the local nursery showed us how to carefully place each tree in the hole and pack the soil back around it. We had to make sure not to bury the trunk and compact the soil too much. I was surprised by how many steps there were to planting one little tree properly.Once the trees were in the ground, we built little walls of rocks or mulch around them. This helps retain moisture so the tree roots don't dry out. Then we gave each tree a long, deep drink of water from the hose. Getting soaked wasn't my favorite part, but it will really help the new trees survive. The last step was putting protective coverings around the trunks to protect them from animals and lawn mowers. Ta-da! We planted ten new trees near the playground. While we worked, I couldn't help wondering what those tiny trees would look like years from now, towering over the swing sets and jungle gyms. The trees we planted probably won't grow very tall before I move on to middle school, but future students will get to enjoy their shade. Years after that, the trees might even have sturdy branches perfect for tree houses! It's amazing to think about. After we cleaned up our tools and rested for a bit, we had a picnic lunch in the grassy field behind the school. We played fun games like tree trivia and went on a nature scavenger hunt. I found the biggest pine cone, and Jessica found the most interesting leaf. We learned so much about different types of trees and why they're vital for a healthy planet. My favorite new tree fact is that some trees can live for thousands of years! Just imagine all they will witness over that incredible lifespan. At the end of the celebration, every student was given a young tree seedling to take home and plant in their own yard. My little tree is a dogwood, which will have beautiful pink blossoms in the spring. I picked the perfect spot in our backyard, near my bedroom window. I can't wait to watch it grow taller each year and bloom with those pretty flowers. I'll alwaysremember this is the tree I planted on Tree Planting Day in third grade.Planting those trees was hard work, but it was also so much fun. I felt really proud to be doing my part to make the world a little bit greener and better for the environment. From now on, whenever I see a tall tree, I'll smile knowing that one day the trees I helped plant will be big and strong, too. They'll provide homes for critters, shade for kids at recess, and crisp air for everyone to breathe. Trees are pretty amazing!篇3A Very Green Day at SchoolYesterday was one of the most exciting and fun days I've ever had at school! It was the annual Tree Planting Day, where all the students get to help make our playground and campus greener. I had been looking forward to it for weeks. The whole day was dedicated to planting new trees, bushes, and flowers all around the school grounds. Instead of our regular lessons, we got to spend the entire day outside getting our hands dirty. It was like one big gardening class, but way more enjoyable than sitting at a desk. The morning started with a special assembly where the principal explained why Tree Planting Day is so important. She told us that trees produce the oxygen we breathe, absorb carbon dioxide that causes climate change, provide shade on hot days, and make our school look beautiful. She said planting trees is one way we can all help take care of the environment. After the assembly, we went back to our classrooms to get our gardening gloves, little shovels, and seedlings to plant. My class was given boxes full of tiny pine tree saplings. They looked like fragile little sticks poking out of the soil, but the teachers assured us they would grow into big, strong, evergreen trees one day if we planted and cared for them properly. The first thing we had to do was dig holes along the edge of the playground where the new trees would go. Digging in the hard ground was tougher than I expected! But I kept at it, shoveling out the dirt one little scoop at a time until I had a hole deep and wide enough. Sweat was dripping down my face by the time I finished. Then came my favorite part - carefully taking the tiny pine seedlings out of their boxes and placing them into the holes I had prepared. It felt kind of like I was giving them a new home tolive in. I patted the soil firmly around the base of each one, making sure they were snug and secure in their new spots.Once all the seedlings were planted, we gave them a good soaking with water from the hose and sprinklers. I loved watching the dry, crispy soil turn dark and damp as it soaked up the water. I'm sure those little trees were happily drinking it all in after being cooped up in their boxes. While my class was busy with the pines, the other classes fanned out across the school grounds planting all sorts of bushes, flowers, and different types of trees. There were oaks, maples, redwoods, and so many blooming shrubs and flowers that I couldn't identify. By the end of the day, our campus was transformed into a rainbow array of greens, reds, oranges, yellows and purples. At lunch, we had a special picnic outside on the grassy fields we had just planted. We got to relax, recharge, and admire all the hard work and beautiful changes we had made to the school's landscaping. I felt a amazing sense of pride and ownership looking out at those hundreds of new trees, bushes and flowers, knowing that I had a personal hand in getting them planted and growing. The best part was that Tree Planting Day wasn't just aone-time event. Our teachers said we would be responsible for watering, weeding, and taking care of all the new plants regularly.I was over the moon about that! Getting to watch those little seedlings sprout, take root, and blossom into full-grown greenery over the years will be such a rewarding experience. As I drifted off to sleep last night, I imagined what our school was going to look like in five, ten, even twenty years from now with all those trees mature and towering over the buildings and playground. I pictured myself coming back as an adult and standing in the cool, shady areas that used to be bare, looking up at those mighty pines I helped plant when they were just babies. Maybe my own kids will be students at the school by then, and I can show them the trees I nurtured and tell them all about Tree Planting Day.Things like this make me feel like kid scientists or Earth explorers - we're not just reading about nature, but getting out there and doing real work to understand it better and make it healthier. Planting those trees made me appreciate how capable kids are of making a positive impact on their environment when they're given the opportunity.Tree Planting Day was definitely one of the highlights of my entire elementary school experience so far. I'm sure these are the kinds of lessons and memories that will really stick with me for life. Funny to think that Getting messy, digging holes, and playing in the dirt could end up being one of the most important and valuable days of learning I've had. I can't wait for next year's Tree Planting Day!。

用英语介绍自己的学校情况小学作文

用英语介绍自己的学校情况小学作文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Amazing SchoolHi there! My name is Emma and I'm 9 years old. I go to Pine Grove Elementary School and I just love it there! Our school is really big with lots of cool stuff to do and see. I'm going to tell you all about the awesome things at my school.First, let me tell you about our building. It's this huge red brick building that looks kind of old on the outside. But inside it's been all fixed up with new floors, painted walls, and even some awesome technology stuff! We have these really big hallways that connect all the classrooms together. My favorite hallway has these skylights that let in lots of natural light. It makes it feel like you're outside even when you're inside!Another thing I love about our school is the playground. We have not one, but TWO playground areas! There's one for the little kid grades like kindergarten and first grade. It has lots of baby swings, a tiny climbing wall, and even a mini rock climbing boulder. Then there's the big kid playground area for grades likeme. We have these gigantic swings that go way up in the air. I love the feeling of flying through the sky! There's also a jungle gym with curved climbing walls, a bunch of slides, and these cool bouncy animals you can jump on. At recess, that playground is packed with kids running around and having fun.Inside our school, there are lots of neat places too. We have a huge library filled with soooo many books. It's a nice quiet place to read and relax. I love going there during my free period. We also have an art room with funky colored sinks for cleaning paint brushes and clay tools. The floors are covered in splashes of dried paint - it looks like a modern art sculpture! For music class, we have a music room with all kinds of instruments from drums to xylophones. Sometimes we get xylophones to play during class. My favorite is the giantським bass bars that make these crazy low thumping sounds.Another awesome part of our school is the cafetorium. Can you guess what that is? It's a cafe and an auditorium combined into one room! During lunchtime, we all eat our snacks and meals in that room at buuuuge tables. But then after school, the tables get pushed aside to make room for performances, concerts, and even movie nights! We have these cool colorful lights that make the whole room feel like a theater. Sometimesactors or dancers come to perform shows for us. We get to sit with our classes and watch plays, musicals, or dancers on a real stage!Speaking of after school, we have sooo many fun after school clubs and activities at Pine Grove. There's art club where we get to work with clay, paint, and all kinds of crafty things. Reading club is for kids who love books as much as me. We read out loud together and discuss our favorite stories. If you're more of a science person, you'll love science explorers club. We do experiments and learn about dinosaurs, planets, the human body, and more! For kids who love being outdoors, we have a garden club where we dig in the dirt and grow fruits, veggies, and flowers. I can't wait to join running club once I'm old enough. We get to train and do races! There's even a cooking club where we cook meals and bake yummy treats. Just thinking about it makes me hungry! I usually join that club in the winter when it's too cold for outdoor activities. Oh and we also have a crafting club to make jewelry, keychains, and other cute crafty things. So many choices! My favorite part of Pine Grove is probably Field Day though. Once a year in the spring, we have this awesome event called Field Day. We all go out to the huge field behind the school andget to do relay races, water balloon tosses, sack races, and way more! The teachers and parent volunteers set up tons of games and activities all over. We split up into teams and try to get the most points by winning each game. It's sooo much fun and good exercise too. After all the games, we get popsicles or snow cones as a tasty treat. Field Day is the best! That's my awesome school - Pine Grove Elementary. We have such a big building with so many neat places to learn, play, and explore. Our playgrounds are a total blast and I love getting to hang out with my friends there. We have lots of fun classes like art, music, and even cooking and gardening clubs. Our library is a tiny book paradise. And big events like Field Day make going to school even more exciting. I feel so lucky to be a Pine Grove Panther! This is just the best school ever. Well, I should get going - recess is about to start. Thanks for letting me tell you about my amazing school. Bye!篇2Here's an essay of around 2000 words, written in the voice of an elementary school student, introducing their school in English:My School Is the Best!Hi there! My name is Amy and I'm in the 5th grade. I go to Oak Tree Elementary School and it's the best school ever! I can't wait to tell you all about it.Our school building is really big and colorful. It's made of red bricks and has a huge playground in the back. The front has a huge oak tree that's probably a hundred years old! That's where our school gets its name. When you walk in the main entrance, there's a big hallway with lots of lockers on both sides. The floors are shiny and there are motivational quotes painted on the walls. My favorite one says "Shoot for the moon, even if you miss, you'll land among the stars!"Down the hall is the cafeteria where we eat lunch. It's always so loud and smells like whatever's for lunch that day. Sometimes it's pizza or chicken nuggets, which are my favorites. The lunch ladies are really nice too.Next to the cafeteria is the gym. It's ginormous! We have P.E. class in there and play all sorts of games like dodgeball, basketball, and my personal favorite, floor hockey. The gym has cool rock climbing walls on one side too. I'm not very good at it yet, but I'm practicing. We have two playgrounds – one for the little kids and one for the bigger kids like me. The big kid playground has really tall slides, swing sets, and even a zipline! It's so fun zipping across from one tower to the other. My favorite place in the whole school is probably the library though. It's quiet and smells like books. They have beanbags to lounge on and read in the corners. The librarian, Mrs. Roberts, is really nice and always helps me find the books I want, whether it's fiction, non-fiction, or comic books. The classrooms are where we do most of our learning of course. They all have Smartboards that our teachers use for lessons. We get to go up and interact with the board sometimes too which is neat. We learn all the core subjects like math, reading, science, and social studies. One cool thing about Oak Tree is that we get to go on lots of fun field trips. This year we went to the Science Museum and got to do all sorts of hands-on experiments. We also went to a play at the Children's Theater which was my first time seeing a live performance on stage. My class is going to tour a bakery next month too which I'm really looking forward to!Another thing I love about my school is all the after-school activities we can do. There are clubs for art, chess, coding, dance, and more. I'm in the Eco Club where we learn about taking care of the environment and recycling. We even have a little garden behind the school that we maintain.Of course, no school would be complete without awesome teachers. All of mine are super nice and make learning fun. My favorite is probably Mrs. Garcia who teaches science. She always has the coolest experiments for us to do, like making volcanos erupt with baking soda and vinegar. So cool! The other kids at Oak Tree are great too. I have a really nice group of friends and we always have fun together at recess. Even the older kids are kind and look out for the younger students. We really are one big happy family.Every week we have an assembly where we sing songs, hear announcements, and sometimes have special guests or performances. It's when we get to see everyone in the whole school together in the gymnasium. We love doing the fun chants and cheers to pump ourselves up. Go Oak Tree Oaks!I guess I could go on and on, but I think you get the idea - my school is the absolute best! From the building itself to the teachers, students, activities, and opportunities we have, it's just an all-around awesome place to learn and grow. I have so muchfun cada day and am proud to be an Oak Tree Oak. This is my home away from home.School days are the best days! Thanks for letting me tell you about my amazing school. Maybe you'll get to experience the awesomeness of Oak Tree Elementary yourself one day. If so, I'll be sure to show you around!篇3My Super Cool School!Hi there! I'm so excited to tell you all about my awesome school. It's the best place ever and I have so much fun there every single day. Let me give you all the details on what makes it so incredible.First off, the building itself is huge! It's this gigantic red brick building that looks almost like a castle. There are three different levels with lots of classrooms, a cafeteria, gymnasium, library, computer lab, art room, and music room. Everything is really colourful and bright inside with fun decorations and paintings on the walls done by students. My favourite is the huge mural in the main entrance that shows a bunch of friendly cartoon animals playing at a school. So cute!Outside, we have the most amazing playground you can imagine. There are several swing sets, slides, monkey bars, and even a zipline! The jungle gym is like a great big maze to explore. Around the playground there are basketball courts, soccer fields, and a running track. During recess, there are always exciting games of tag, four square, and basketball happening. At the back there is even a cool garden area with flower beds and vegetable patches that we all help take care of.Now let me tell you about all the awesome teachers. My favourite is Mrs. McDonald who teaches my class. She's really funny and always wears cool outfits with bright colours and patterns. Sometimes she even dresses up like a character from a book we're reading! She makes learning super engaging with lots of games, songs, and hands-on activities. Thanks to her, math is my favourite subject now. Who knew counting and working with numbers could be so much fun?All the other teachers are great too. Mr. Stevens is the gym teacher and he runs around full of energy, getting us playing all kinds of different sports and games. He's also really good at explaining the rules in a simple way. Mrs. Khan is the librarian and she's always happy to help us find new books we'll enjoy reading. Ms. Alvarez is the art teacher and she's overflowing withcreativity. We get to work with all sorts of materials like paints, clay, recycled objects, you name it!There are so many fun clubs and activities to join as well. I'm a part of the school choir and we're practising for our big concert next month. My best friend Jake is in the coding club where they're learning how to build video games and program robots. Other clubs include drama, dance, basketball, soccer, gardening, and more. On special days, we'll sometimes have talent shows, science fairs, bake sales, or festivals too. There's always something enjoyable happening.Of course, what would a school be without lessons to help us learn and grow? Luckily, the teachers here make it all interesting and engaging. We don't just sit still doing worksheets all day. There are group projects, experiments, presentations, field trips, and lots of fun games to make sure we're understanding everything. I really love the hands-on science lessons where we get to make volcanoes, build circuits, and experiment with different materials.Honestly, there's just so much I could say about why my school is the best. We have great facilities, caring teachers, engaging lessons and activities, a wonderful community feel, and just an overall environment that makes you excited to be thereevery day. I feel so lucky to be able to attend this school and make so many amazing memories.I'm already looking forward to next year and all the cool new things I'llget to learn and do. A new grade, new teachers, maybe I'll join a new club or take on a new responsibility. The possibilities are endless at a super cool school like mine. I can't wait!篇4My Big School AdventureHi there! My name is Lily and I'm a fourth grader at Oakwood Elementary School. I've been going to this school since kindergarten and I just love it! I'm so excited to tell you all about my big school adventure.Oakwood is a huge school with tons of kids. I can't even count how many! There are kids from kindergarten all the way up to fifth grade. The building is super big and has three floors. On the first floor, there's the cafeteria where we eat lunch. The lunchroom is gigantic and always smells amazing like chicken nuggets or pizza! There's also the gymnasium down there. That's where we have P.E. class and school assemblies. I love going to the gym to play games and sports. My favorite place at school is the library though. It's on the second floor and has millions of books! Okay, maybe not millions, but definitely tons. I love browsing through all the different sections like fantasy, mystery, and science. They have beanbags to read in which are really cozy. Sometimes we even get to take our shoes off in the library! My friends and I love checking out new books every week. All the classrooms are on the second and third floors. My classroom is on the third floor at the very end of the hallway. I really like my teacher, Mrs. Garcia. She's super nice and always has fun activities planned for us. In the mornings, we start with math which I'm pretty good at. Then we have reading group where we learn about different books and genres. In the afternoons, we have science, social studies, and my favorite - creative writing! For science, we get to do a lot of hands-on experiments which is awesome. Last month, we made mini volcanoes and had them erupt with baking soda and vinegar. It was so cool to watch them explode! In social studies, we're learning about the history of our state which is really interesting. I had no idea there used to be mammoths here millions of years ago! As for writing, we getto work on stories, comics, poems, and more. I love using my imagination to create new worlds and characters. At recess and lunch, I get to hang out with all my best friends - Emma, Tyler, Jayden, and Sophia. We always play super fun games together like tag, four square, and pretend. Sophia and I have been besties since first grade. We're totally inseparable! Lunchtime is my favorite because I get to talk and laugh with my friends while eating my snacks. I'm definitely going to miss them when we go to middle school next year. There are so many awesome after-school activities too. I take art club every Monday where we work on drawing, painting, and all sorts of cool crafts. We just finished making clay monsters which was a blast. On Tuesdays, I do drama club. We're rehearsing for our spring musical which is going to be The Lion King! I'm playing one of the monkeys and can't wait to perform on stage. My little brother is going to come watch me and I'm so excited.Wednesdays are my busiest day because I have both dance club and coding club. In dance, we're practicing a hip hop routine to perform at the talent show. It has tons of cool moves and I'm working really hard to nail them all. Coding club is newer but I'm already obsessed! We're learning how to build our ownapps and video games. I just made a silly little cat game last week. My biggest goal is to design an epic RPG game before I graduate. That's my school in a nutshell! I have so much fun here with my friends, teachers, and activities. There's always something exciting happening at Oakwood. I know I'm going to be super sad to leave this place after fifth grade. Who knows, maybe I'll come back as a teacher someday! For now, I'm just soaking up every last minute of my big school adventure.篇5My Super Cool SchoolHi there! My name is Timmy and I'm 10 years old. I go to the best school ever - Franklin Elementary! It's really big with lots of classrooms, a huge playground, and even a swimming pool. I'm going to tell you all about my awesome school.First up is my favorite part - recess! We get to go out and play on the playground twice a day. There are so many fun things to do. The playground has swings, slides, monkey bars, and this really cool spinning merry-go-round thing. My friends and I have competitions to see who can spin it the fastest without falling off. I'm the reigning champion! There's also a big field where we play kickball, soccer, and other running games. I'm super fast so I'm always one of the first kids picked for the teams. At the far end, there's a basketball court with hoops at different heights for the big and little kids. I love shooting hoops, even though I can't make them in the tall baskets yet. When it's too hot or raining, we have indoor recess in the gym. We can play dodgeball, do gymnastics on the mats, or shoot baskets. Sometimes the gym teachers set up obstacle courses for us to crawl through, climb over, and zip line across. It's an awesome way to get our energy out!Speaking of the gym, we have PE or gym class twice a week. That's when we learn fun games and sports like baseball, hockey, and tennis. We also do fitness testing to see how many push-ups and curl-ups we can do. I'm working on getting stronger so I can be a great athlete when I grow up.My favorite class is definitely art though. We have an amazing art room with tons of supplies - paints, markers, clay, you name it! We learn about famous artists and make our own masterpieces inspired by their styles. I love using bright, vibrant colors in my paintings. My parents have to clear off the fridge regularly to make room for my newest artworks.Another highlight of my day is lunchtime. Our cafeteria has THE BEST pizza, corn dogs, and chocolate milk. They also have a salad bar if you're into that healthy stuff. My friends and I scout out the good seats early so we can spend the whole period talking and laughing together. The lunchroom monitors are always telling us to use our inside voices though - whatever that means! After lunch, we have recess again to run off some of that energy from the good food. Then it's time for more learning in the afternoon. We rotate between classes like math, reading, science, and social studies. Math is okay I guess, but I prefer the hands-on stuff like science projects and field trips. In science, we get to do experiments and learn about dinosaurs, plants, weather, and more. We even have a lesson on taking care of the environment, which is pretty important. Social studies is fun too because we learn about different places around the world and how people lived long ago. I liked the unit on ancient Egypt so I could pretend to be a pharaoh. My school also has a wonderful library with about a million books (roughly). We take trips there each week to check out new books and listen to the librarian read stories aloud. I love getting lost in fantasy worlds full of magic, adventure, and heroiccharacters. The library is my second favorite place after the art room.Of course, school isn't all just fun and games - we have to hit the books too. We take tests occasionally to show what we've learned. I actually don't mind too much because our teachers make lessons engaging with videos, games, group work, and creative projects. As long as I pay attention and study, the tests are challenging but manageable.Franklin has some awesome after-school activities to keep us busy too. I'm in the running club where we train for an annual 5K race at the end of the year. Some of my friends do art club, science olympiad, band & orchestra, or student council. There are sports teams available starting in 3rd grade like basketball, soccer, and softball. I can't wait until next year so I can try out!Our school hosts a lot of fun events for families too. In the fall, we have a carnival with game booths, food trucks, a dunk tank, and even a Ferris wheel! Holidays mean craft fairs, performances, and parties. My personal favorite is theend-of-year picnic. They have a huge inflatable obstacle course, dunk tank to soak the teachers, Three-Legged Race, and a massive spread of cookout food. It's the perfect way to kick off summer break. With so many amazing facilities, activities, and people, I absolutely love my school. The teachers and staff are super nice and want us to have fun while learning and growing. The principals make sure everything runs smoothly and safely. Even the custodians who clean the school are friendly! What I love most though are my friends. We have such a blast together at recess, lunch, and in our classes. We inspire each other to work hard and dream big. I feel incredibly lucky to spend my days in such an awesome place surrounded by awesome people.Franklin Elementary rocks! I can't imagine going anywhere else. I'm already dreading the day I'll be too old and have to move on to middle school. For now, I'll just keep soaking up every minute at my super cool school. Thanks for letting me tell you all about it!篇6My School is the Best!Hi there! My name is Alex and I'm 10 years old. I'm in the 5th grade at Oakwood Elementary School. Oakwood is the coolest school ever and I want to tell you all about it!Our school building is really big and made of red bricks. It has three floors and lots of classrooms, a huge gym, an art room, a music room, a computer lab, and even a science lab! The science lab is my favorite because we get to do fun experiments like making volcanos explode with baking soda and vinegar. So awesome!Outside, we have a massive playground with swings, slides, monkey bars, and plenty of space to run around during recess. There are also baseball diamonds, soccer fields, and basketball courts for P.E. class and after-school sports. My friends and I love playing kickball at recess.Another awesome thing about my school is the library. It's like a huge room full of books on every topic you can imagine! I love reading fantasy novels about magic and mythical creatures. Whenever I have free time, I head to the library to find new books to devour. The librarian, Mrs. Collins, is really nice too.Of course, we have to do schoolwork too, but the teachers make it fun. My favorite class is English because I love reading the stories we get to analyze and coming up with creative writing pieces. My English teacher, Mr. Roberts, is hilarious and makes lessons really engaging. In math, we've been learning about fractions, decimals, and percentages this year. I used to think math was hard, but my teacher, Mrs. Yang, is a genius at explaining things clearly. Now I actually enjoy working through math problems! For science, we get to do lots of hands-on activities and experiments. We've learned about ecosystems, the human body, basic chemistry, and simple machines. Last week, we built our own rubber band cars to learn about force and motion. Science is so cool!In social studies, we're studying American history and world cultures. We've learned about ancient civilizations like Egypt, China, Greece, and Rome. We even got to mummify a chicken to understand Egyptian mummification! How crazy is that?My school also has after-school clubs and activities like art club, drama club, computer coding, chess club, and more. I'm in the French club because I want to learn another language. Our French teacher has us play games and sing songs to practice.C'est super!Once a year, the whole school puts on a fun fair with game booths, food, bouncy houses, and more. Parents and families are invited and it's a huge party! My favorite part is the cake walk. Iwon three cakes last year and ate way too much icing. Totally worth the stomachache! We have spirit days too where we get to dress up in silly outfits based on a theme. Some of the best ones are mismatched clothes day, pajama day, and wacky hair day. The whole school looks ridiculous and it's hilarious. The teachers really get into it as well!Field trips are the best though! This year, we went to an art museum, the aquarium, the science center, and even a play at the theater. I can't wait until 5th grade camp at the end of the year. We'll go hiking, canoeing, rock climbing, and more. Camping with all my friends will be epic!Of course, the greatest part of Oakwood is the people. All my teachers really care about the students and make learning fun. The principal, Mrs. Taylor, is sweet and always has a smile. The secretaries in the office are helpful and kindly assist anyone who needs it.But most importantly, I have the best group of friends ever at my school. Jeremy, Emma, Sophia, Michael, and Aidan have been my crew since kindergarten. We've grown up together and have so many silly inside jokes. We always manage to make eachother laugh, no matter what. School just wouldn't be the same without them.So that's my awesome school, Oakwood Elementary! With great teachers, fun activities, and amazing friends, it's pretty much the coolest place ever. I have two more years left before middle school and I'm going to soak up every second. Thanks for reading and let me know if you have any other questions!。

有趣的学校生活的感受英语作文结尾全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1That's what school has been like for me so far. It's been full of fun times, hard lessons, and lots of new experiences. I've made many great friends and learned so much about the world around me.One of the most interesting parts has been all the awesome field trips we've gone on. My favorite was when we went to the science museum and got to do all sorts of cool experiments. I loved making a little rocket out of baking soda and vinegar and watching it blast off! The Planetarium show about the planets and stars was super fascinating too. I want to be an astronaut when I grow up so I can explore space someday.Another really fun field trip was going to the art museum. I had no idea there were so many different types of art and artists out there. My favorite pieces were the huge, colorful modern paintings that looked like splatters of paint. But I also thought the ancient Greek sculptures were beautiful too. After that trip, Idecided I want to take an art class so I can create my own masterpieces.Writing has been a much more enjoyable part of school for me. I just love getting to express my thoughts and creativity through words. My proudest accomplishment was my first-place winning story in the school's fiction writing contest last year. It was about a young wizard who discovers a magic pencil that brings his drawings to life. I worked so hard on that story, crafting an epic adventure with imaginative characters and an exciting plot. When they announced my name as the winner at the school-wide assembly, I was completely ecstatic!Speaking of being creative, I've also had a blast in art class. We've worked with all sorts of mediums like paints, clay, colored pencils and chalk. My personal masterpiece that I'm most proud of is a vibrant paper mache sculpture I made of a cheerful cartoon sun. It's been hanging up in my room ever since to brighten up my space. Getting a little messy with different art materials is one of my favorite parts of the week.Like the time last year when my friend Sam was being picked on by a mean bully for the shoes he wore. I felt so awful for him having to go through that. But Sam just held his head high, ignored the bully's taunts, and continued being his awesome self.He inspired me to always have confidence in who I am and not let cruel people's words get me down. From that day on, Sam and I became even better friends because I admired his resilient spirit so much. Then there was the school-wide recycling challenge, where each class competed to recycle the most plastic, paper and aluminum over a month. My class worked as an incredibly hard team, making daily morning announcements reminding everyone to be environmental heroes. We gathered up bottles, cans and paper from all around the building every afternoon after school. In the end, our class won the huge trophy and got an extra recess period as a reward! But more importantly, I learned how powerful it can be to work together as a team toward a meaningful goal that's good for our planet.Looking back on my elementary school years so far, I've been through a true rollercoaster of emotions. There have been hilariously goofy times where my classmates and I could barely stop laughing over silly jokes and games. Other days, there were frustrating struggles where I felt overwhelmed by difficult schoolwork or social situations. A few rare occasions were even filled with deep sadness, like when my beloved dog Buddy passed away last year. But no matter what, I've been able to depend on my supportive teachers and the friends who have become like a second family to help me through it all. We've learned together, grown together, and created amazing memories that I'll never forget. These have been some of the most wonderfully interesting and formative years of my childhood so far.As my elementary school journey winds down, I'm getting ready to move up to middle school next year. While I'm definitely anxious about that huge transition and all the new challenges ahead, I also know that I'm prepared. Thanks to the foundation I've built here, learning effective study habits, problem-solving skills and overall resilience that will help me take on anything. My time in these elementary school halls has played a huge role in shaping who I am as a person.I'll forever cherish the lasting friendships,belly-laugh-inducing memories, and invaluable lessons that have turned me into a more curious, confident and well-rounded individual. These have been some of the most interesting years of my young life so far. While I'm definitely excited about what lies ahead, part of me will always look back fondly on these incredible elementary school experiences that have helped megrow so much. It's been an amazing ride, and just the start of my journey as an enthusiastic, lifelong learner.篇2What an amazing year it has been at Sunny Valley Elementary! I never could have imagined all the fun, exciting, and sometimes crazy adventures I would experience. School is so much more than just reading, writing, and arithmetic. It's a place to grow, explore, and create lifelong memories with your friends. One of the highlights was definitely the class camping trip to Pine Ridge Forest. I had been on little hikes before with my family, but sleeping out in the wild with my buddies was a totally new experience. The night before, we roasted marshmallows and traded scary stories around the campfire. I'll never forget Joey trying to convince us that the Swamp Monster lived in the creek nearby! When it was time for bed, we zipped ourselves up tight in our sleeping bags and listened to the hoots of the owls and the chirping of the crickets. In the morning, we got to go on a nature hike and learned so many cool things about the different plants and animals that live in the forest. Catching tiny little fish in the stream was my favorite part!Another field trip that stands out was when we went to the Pioneer Village and got to see what life was like back in the olden days. We dressed up in old-fashioned pioneer clothes and spend the whole day experiencing their way of life. We churned butter, which was a lot harder than it looks! We also tried writing with quill pens and ink – I made such a mess trying to control that scratchy feather. The best part was going to the one-room schoolhouse and seeing what school was like for kids back then. The wooden desks were so tiny and cramped compared to our modern classrooms. And those strict schoolmasters must have been pretty scary with their strict rules and punishment tactics. I was glad I didn't actually have to live through that! While the special events and mishaps certainly make for funny stories, my favorite memories are really the small, everyday moments I shared with my friends. Racing each other at recess to see who could swing the highest on the swings. Comparing pictures we had doodled during our free draw time in art class. Having a grand battle of who could stack the most books in the Reading Nook before they toppled over. Trading Pokémon card s and comic books like they were prized treasures. We packed so much laughter and silliness into every single day.As I get ready to move up to middle school next year, I'll really miss good old Sunny Valley. This place felt like a second home, with my teachers being like parent-figures and my classmates being like a second family. We made it through all the ups and downs together, and grew up so much along the way. While I'm excited for the future and all the new adventures ahead, a piece of my heart will always remain here on these playgrounds and in these classrooms. I'll take the lessons I learned and the bonds I formed with me wherever I go. Elementary school, thanks for giving me such an incredible start to my educational journey. The memories will stay with me forever!篇3...And that's why school has been such an amazing adventure for me! Every day is filled with new things to learn, friends to play with, and exciting activities to look forward to.Just last week, we had a special visitor come to our class – a real live scientist! She showed us all kinds of cool experiments and even let us try some of them ourselves. I got to make a little volcano erupt with baking soda and vinegar. It was so awesome seeing it fizz and bubble up like that! The scientist taught us about chemical reactions and how important science is forunderstanding the world around us. I think I might want to be a scientist when I grow up so I can discover amazing things too.Another highlight was the school fair a few weeks ago. Our class ran a cake walk game and I got to help decorate the booth with colorful streamers and balloons. Watching everyone's faces light up when they won a delicious treat was the best feeling ever. I even won a huge chocolate cake myself! My friends and I had a blast going on all the rides and playing the different games too. The Ferris wheel was my favorite – you could see the whole neighborhood from the top!I'm really looking forward to the upcoming field trip to the art museum next month. We've been learning about different artists and styles of painting in class, so it will be incredible to see some famous artwork up close. I can't wait to sketch my own masterpieces during the guided studio session they have planned for us. Who knows, maybe I'll be a famous artist someday?School keeps life interesting and exciting with so many wonderful opportunities to explore new subjects and discover my passions. Yes, there's still homework and tests from time to time, but they're not so bad when I get to spend my days learning incredible things and making unforgettable memories.Playtime with my friends on the playground, extraordinary class projects, special events and more – that's what hands-on education is all about.I feel so lucky to have such an amazing set of teachers who make every lesson fun and engaging. They encourage us to be creative, think outside the box, and never stop asking questions. Thanks to them, I wake up every morning eager to head to school and dive into another day's worth of adventures in learning. This is just the beginning of my academic journey, and I can't wait to see where it leads!篇4Overall, my time in elementary school has been filled with so many fun, interesting, and memorable experiences. There have been plenty of ups and downs, challenges to overcome, and lessons learned along the way. But looking back, I can say with certainty that these years have been some of the most enjoyable and formative of my life so far.One of the best things about being in elementary school is all the opportunities to learn through play and hands-on activities. I'll never forget all the amazing science experiments we got to do, like making volcanos erupt with baking soda andvinegar, or building simple machines out of common household objects. Those kinds of projects made learning feel like an adventure rather than just sitting at a desk reading from a textbook. My favorite units were always the ones where we got to go on exciting field trips. Whether it was visiting a local farm, going to an art museum, or taking a walking tour of our town's historic district, those outings gave us a chance to take our lessons beyond the classroom walls. It was so cool getting to see the real-world applications of what we were studying. I hope Field Trip Fridays become a tradition that lasts forever at my school!I also have so many fond memories of the annual events and celebrations we looked forward to each year. Whether it was dressing up for Halloween parades, putting on skits and concerts for our parents, or going all out with themed days during Spirit Week, those were the times when the whole school community came together. That sense of shared excitement and tradition is something I'll really miss.Looking ahead, I know that middle school and the grades beyond will bring new challenges and responsibilities. But my time in elementary school has instilled in me a lifelong love of learning and curiosity about the world. Thanks to the skills andconfidence I've gained, I feel prepared to tackle whatever comes next. Most importantly, the relationships I've formed over these past few years have been invaluable. My teachers invested so much time and care into nurturing our academic and personal growth. They encouraged us to find our passions, embrace our unique strengths, and become caring individuals. I'll be eternally grateful for the nurturing environment they created. And of course, I can't imagine where I'd be without my incredible friends. We've been through so much together –triumphs and struggles, inside jokes and heart-to-heart chats. We've challenged each other to be our best selves while also providing unwavering support and loyalty. I know the bonds we've formed will endure long after we leave these Elementary School halls. As I get ready to move on to the next chapter, I'll forever cherish the wonderful memories from this place. Elementary school has helped shape the person I am today and given me a solid foundation to build my future dreams upon. These have been some of the best years of my young life. I wouldn't trade the experiences, friendships, and lessons I've gained for anything in the world. Though I'm excited about what lies ahead, I'llalways look back fondly on my time here with immense gratitude and joy.篇5...And that's how I ended up covered in mud and feathers, with the goose waddling away unharmed! School sure is full of surprises. You never know what kind of adventure you'll find yourself in next.I've had so many fun and silly times like that over the years. Like the time we had a huge bubble-blowing contest at recess and I accidentally got a bubble stuck on my head. Or when we did that egg drop experiment in science class and my egg splattered all over my best friend's shirt. We couldn't stop laughing!School isn't just about the lessons and homework though. It's about the little moments that make each day special and memorable. Like high-fiving my reading buddy when we finish a chapter book together. Or going absolutely wild with my friends when the bell rings for lunch. Or when the whole class gets the giggles over something silly and we can't calm down no matter how much the teacher shushes us. Those are the times I'll never forget.I love how every day is different and you never quite know what's going to happen. One day we might be putting on a crazy silly performance about the solar system. The next we're out on a nature field trip looking for cool bugs and rocks. There's always some new game to play at recess, some wacky art project to create, or some awesome book to discover. It keeps life exciting!Even things that seem boring at first can turn into fun adventures. Like the time we had to dissect a flower in science and I found a little ladybug hanging out inside. Or when we were practicing times tables by skipping rope and chanting them together. Our teacher has a knack for making lessons feel like one big awesome game. That's what I love most about school - the way it turns ordinary days into extraordinary memories full of laughter, silliness, and joy. Sure, there are some not-so-fun parts like pop quizzes and having to wake up early. But even those tough moments are balanced out by all the good times. School is a big, crazy adventure and I'm just soaking up every minute of it while I can!Maybe one day I'll be all grown up with a serious job. But for now, I'm just a kid having as much fun as possible. Chasing frogs at recess, putting on wacky skits with my friends, and makingincredible potions (okay, finger paints) in art class. These are the glory days and I'm making the most of every single one. Who knows what amazing adventure will find me tomorrow? I can't wait to find out!篇6My school life has been full of fun, excitement, and lots of interesting experiences! Looking back on my time in elementary school, there are so many great memories that I will never forget. One thing I really enjoyed was all the different clubs and activities we could join. Every year, there was a club fair where we could sign up for things like art club, science club, chess club, and so many more. I loved trying new hobbies and making friends who shared my interests. Art club was probably my favorite - we got to use all sorts of different materials like paints, clay, and even made puppets one time! Our art teacher was so creative and encouraged us to express ourselves. At the end of each semester, we would have a big art show where we could display our masterpieces for our families. I felt so proud seeing my artwork up on the walls. The science club was also super cool. We did all kinds of experiments and learned about things like electricity, magnets, and chemical reactions. One time, we even built and launched air-powered rockets on the playground! I'll never forget the loud "whoosh" as they soared up into the sky. Another year, we incubated chicken eggs and got to watch them hatch into tiny little chicks. Holding them in my hands was such a awesome experience. The science club really sparked my curiosity about how the world works. The field trips we took every year were definitely a blast too. Getting out of the classroom for a day and exploring a museum, zoo, farm, or other destination always felt like such a treat. One of my favorite trips was when we went to a living history museum and got to see what life was like for colonial Americans. We watched tradesmen like blacksmiths, candle makers, and printers demonstrate their crafts just like they did hundreds of years ago. And we even got to try our hand at some old-fashioned activities like writing with quill pens and churning butter. It was like being transported back in time! Another amazing field trip was visiting an aquarium where we got to see dolphins, sharks, and thousands of species of marine creatures up close. Who knew learning could be so fun?Speaking of parties, I can't forget to mention all the fun we had at after-school events like field day, carnival night, and talentshows. Field day was basically an entire afternoon dedicated to wacky outdoor games, relay races, and competitions. I loved seeing all the parents and teachers joining in on the fun too. Carnival night had just about every game and activity you could imagine - everything from a cakewalk to fishing for prizes to an awesome obstacle course. And the talent shows gave students a chance to showcase their unique skills, whether it was singing, dancing, comedy routines, or magic tricks. I was always in awe of my friends' hidden talents! While there was so much fun to be had at school, I also have to give a shout-out to all the amazing teachers who made learning engaging and inspiring. They truly went above and beyond with creative lessons, hands-on activities, and making even the trickiest concepts interesting. Some of my favorite units included stuff like starting our own small businesses by making and selling products, putting on a musical performance of "The Lion King," and transforming our classroom into an rainforest habitat complete with vines and stuffed animals. Most importantly though, my teachers showed endless patience, kindness, and encouragement. They cheered us on through our successes and supported us when we struggled. They paid attention to our individual interests and learning styles. And they made sure every student felt valued and capable of achieving great things. Thanks to their guidance, my curiosity and love of learning really blossomed. The positive environment they fostered is something I'll always be grateful for.Overall, my years in elementary school were filled with so many wonderful, enriching experiences that I'll cherish forever. Yes, there were times when things like homework, tests, or waking up early could be a drag. But looking back, those little frustrations seem so minor compared to all the joy, laughter, and amazing opportunities for growth that school provided. While I'm excited about what the future holds, part of me will always miss the carefree, magical days of being a kid in elementary school. Those hallways, classrooms, and playgrounds will forever hold a special place in my heart. I feel so fortunate to have had such a positive foundation for my education and development. My school memories give me warm fuzzies and have helped shape me into the person I am today. I'll be forever grateful for my incredible elementary school experience!。

What’s this got to do with a balanced diet?Eating a balanced diet means eating the right amount of each type of food. That means only a small amount of sugars and fats and at least 5 portions of fruit and vegetables a day.Eating a well-balanced diet in childhood can help protect against chronic diseases in later life.In fact people who eat lots of fruit and vegetables tend to be healthier and live longer.Fruit and vegetables contain vitamins and minerals, which keep the body healthy. They also contain substances called ‘antioxidants’, which might help to protect us against damaging chemicals such as cigarette smoke.Fruit and vegetables also provide fibre and are low in fat and calories, so choosing them and cutting down on fatty, sugary foods can help our health in many ways.Fresh, frozen, tinned, or dried varieties of fruit and vegetables and fruit juice are all good for us. Fruit and vegetables and fruit juices also contain lots of water that can help replace the fluids you lose when you’re physically active and help stop you becoming dehydrated and feeling tired.Poem about 5 a dayOnce there was a group of kids who never felt their bestWhile their friends had lots of energy all they could do was restOne day feeling tired again, no energy to playThey asked their good friend Bobby why they always felt this wayBobby Banana winked at them and said 'Hey follow me'.The children did just that led by Barney BroccoliBobby said 'we'll show you how to run around and playBecause everyone is healthy in the land of 5-a-Day'.The kids had never heard of this '5 what?' one asked with glee'Vegetables', Amber Orange said 'and juicy fruits like me'.She led them down a winding path, the sun began to shineand 5-a-Day was painted on a bright and cheery sign. The people in this wondrous land had energy and might. The kids all found this happy land a promising new sight. The children in the village ate 5 servings every dayof vegetables and fruit for vitamin C and vitamin A.And that's not all bananas or a pear can do for you –fruits and veggies have lots of fibre in them too.Vitamins and fibre still they didn't understand. What do these things do for the good children of this land?Vitamins maintain your health and fibre aids digestion, that's why eating 5-a-Day is such a good suggestion.'Just what we've been looking for' the kids did cheer and root.'But what's a healthy vegetable? And tell us about fruit.''Vegetables are sometimes green' said Barney happily.Asparagus and lettuce, collard greens and broccoli. And fruits are so delicious they make these townsfolk merry;Bananas, apples, raisins, grapes, pineapples and berries. These foods are so abundant that I bet you know much more. Can you name a fruit or vegetable I haven't said before?A yellow apricot, cantaloupe or mango. Some children mentioned carrots or a juicy red tomato.'Delicious!' all the kids yelled 'Barney help us take this vow.'Barney Broccoli promised them 'I'll tell you how right now.A glass of orange juice is one for breakfast every day.A salad with your lunch will have you on your way. Some raisins for a snack and you can count to three with me.An apple and some carrots with a meal adds two to three.''That's 5!' they cheered. 'It's easy ! We'll feel better than before.Because of all our fruity friends we've learned to eat much more.'Their energy returned so they could go right out and playwith the help of all their friends from the land of 5-a-Day.Child 1I am bananas about bananas – they're one of my favourite fruits. Bananas are over one million years old and they are the most popular fruit in the world. A single banana counts as one of your 5 portions a day – but it's a bit strange because after I’ve eaten a banana someone always seems to slip on a banana skin!Child 2I love grapes, just like lots of children at this school. I think they help to sweeten me up – red or white –I don’t care as long as I’ve got grapes. You can get grapes in two forms, fresh or dried. The dried ones are called raisins and these are just grapes that have been dried in the sun.Child 3I love melon – it's sweet and very refreshing. There are lots of different types of melon. There is honeydew, which is yellow on the outside. You can also get cantaloupe, which is orange inside and watermelon, which has lovely flesh and is green on the outside.Child 4I love berries. I love eating lovely juicy red raspberries, but I also love strawberries, blueberries, blackcurrants and gooseberries. They're always sweet, juicy and wonderfully soft.Child 5I keep my good looks by eating apples. They are crisp and crunchy and exercise my mouth so I always have the most attractive smile.Child 6I eat carrots because they help me to see in the dark. Carrots have been around for 3000 years but the first carrots weren't actually orange. Originally they were white, purple or yellow, and it wasn't until the 1600s that orange carrots were grown by the Dutch.Child 7I like tangerines. They are a type of mandarin orange that are easy to peel. They contain lots of vitamin C and are sweet and juicy. I say tangerines are great for snacking because they are so easy to eat and so juicy too.Child 8I like kiwis. Kiwis are more than 700 years old and originally came from China when they were known as Chinese gooseberries. They were sent to New Zealand where they were grown and renamed kiwi fruit after New Zealand's national bird, the kiwi. A simple to eat a kiwi is to cut it in half and eat it with a spoon like an egg – so it becomes an eggstra eggciting snack to eat! Remember, with smaller fruit, two count as one portion.Child 9I like cucumber. It's crunchy and I eat it on its own as well as always having it in salad with my lunch. I’m really pleased because now at this school I can get salad everyday and that's my favourite. I also eat cucumber on sandwiches or dip it into curried yoghurt.Child 10I like tomatoes. They are red, juicy and sweet and they come in lots of sizes. There are the tiny cherry tomatoes that you can pop in your mouth all in one go like I do.Why do children need to eat more fruit and vegetables?Fruit and vegetables contain fibre and lots of vitamins and minerals that help keep the body healthy, yet many of us don't eat enough of them. In fact, average consumption is currently three portions a day, which is two short of the recommended figure of (at least) five portions a day. There is mounting evidence that people who eat lots of fruit and vegetables are less likely to develop chronic diseases such as coronary heart disease and some cancers. To get the health benefits of lower risk from diet-related diseases, we need to eat at least five portions of a variety of fruit and vegetables a day. So why not give yourself the chance of a healthier, fitter future by eating at least five portions of fruit and vegetables a day?The foundations of good health are laid down in childhood, so this is the ideal time to start eating healthy. Please join us in singing ‘Cauliflowers fluffy’.Please bow your heads.May we all be thankful for the food we have to eat and remember those who are hungry around the world. We hope you enjoyed our assembly.。
