2024英语周报 高一上 第一期作文题目
2024英语周报高一上第一期作文题目全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1Hi everyone! My name is Emma and I'm a 10-year-old student from Green Valley Elementary School. I'm so excited to share my thoughts and experiences with you all in this first issue of the 2024 English Weekly Report!Let me start by talking about my favorite subject – English class! I absolutely love learning new words, reading interesting stories, and practicing my writing skills. Our English teacher, Mrs. Johnson, always makes the lessons so much fun and engaging. Just last week, we had a special activity where we played a game called "Word Detectives." We were divided into teams, and each team had to find as many words as possible in a big pile of letters. It was a race against time, and my team won! We even got to choose a small prize from Mrs. Johnson's treasure box.Speaking of reading, I recently finished a really cool book called "The Adventures of Captain Underpants." It's a hilarious story about two prankster kids who accidentally turn their mean principal into a superhero with superpowers – but he's forced towear underwear and a cape! The book is filled with silly jokes and funny illustrations, and I couldn't stop laughing while reading it. My favorite character is, of course, Captain Underpants himself. He's so goofy and brave at the same time.In addition to reading, I also enjoy writing stories and poems. Just a few days ago, I wrote a poem about my pet hamster, Fluffy.I tried to use lots of descriptive words to paint a picture of how cute and cuddly she is. When I shared my poem with the class, everyone clapped and said they could imagine Fluffy running on her little wheel. I felt so proud!Apart from English class, I love spending time with my friends during recess and after school. We play all sorts of games like tag, hopscotch, and jump rope. Sometimes, we even make up our own games with silly rules. Last week, we invented a new game called "Backwards Charades," where one person has to act out a word or phrase backwards, and the rest of us have to guess what it is. It's really tricky but so much fun!Another thing I enjoy doing is helping out around the house. My mom and dad always encourage me to pitch in with chores like setting the table, folding laundry, and feeding our dog, Buddy. It's not always the most exciting task, but I know it's important to be responsible and help out my family. Plus, myparents sometimes give me a small allowance for doing extra chores, which I save up to buy new books or toys.Oh, I almost forgot to mention our class field trip last month! We went to the local science museum and got to see all sorts of cool exhibits. My favorite part was the dinosaur exhibit, where they had life-sized models of different dinosaurs. I learned so many interesting facts about their eating habits, their sizes, and how they lived millions of years ago. It really sparked my curiosity and made me want to learn even more about these fascinating creatures.Well, that's about all I have to share for now. I hope you enjoyed reading about my life as an elementary school student. Remember, learning English can be a lot of fun, especially when you get to read exciting books, write creative stories, and play educational games. Until next time, keep practicing your English skills and never stop exploring the wonderful world of words!篇22024 English Weekly Report - My Summer VacationHi everyone! My name is Timmy and I'm going to tell you all about my summer vacation this year. It was the best summer ever! I had so much fun and did lots of cool things.First, my family went on a big trip to Florida. We flew there on an airplane which was really exciting. I had never been on a plane before so I was a little nervous, but it was actually pretty fun. The flight attendants gave us snacks and drinks and there were little TVs in the backs of the seats so we could watch movies. When we got to Florida, we went to Disney World! It was even more amazing than I thought it would be. We went to the Magic Kingdom first and I got to meet Mickey Mouse. He gave me a big hug! We also went on tons of rides like Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, and the Haunted Mansion. My favorite was probably Splash Mountain because you get soaking wet at the end. It was so hot in Florida so I didn't even mind. After a few days at Disney, we went to the beach. The beaches in Florida are beautiful with soft white sand and clear blue-green water. I spent hours playing in the waves and building sandcastles. We also did other fun beach activities like going on a dolphin watching cruise and renting jet skis. One day we parasailed which was scary at first when the boat pulled us high up into the air, but then it was awesome seeing everything from way up there.Another highlight was going to NASA's Kennedy Space Center. I've always been really interested in space, so getting to see real rockets and learn about how astronauts live on the International Space Station was a dream come true. They even have this thing called the Shuttle Launch Experience that simulates what it feels like when the space shuttle takes off. It was intense!Towards the end of our trip, we went to Universal Studios in Orlando. That was fun too, but a little less magical than Disney in my opinion. We did go to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter though which was incredible. It seriously felt like being at Hogwarts. The Hogwarts castle ride was my favorite.I also got to visit my cousin Bobby who lives in California this summer. He's a few years older than me, but still fun to hang out with. We went boogie boarding at the beach, played video games, and his mom even let us get these crazy haircuts where we shaved designs into the sides of our heads. My parents weren't too happy about that one!Overall it was just the best summer ever. I got to do so many cool things and make so many great memories. I can't wait to go back to school and tell all my friends about it. Writing this hasmade me miss it already! I'm so lucky my parents took me on all these adventures. Thanks mom and dad!Well, that's all for this edition of my English weekly report. I'd better go do my math homework now before mom gets upset. But don't worry, I'll be back again next week with more tales of my amazing summer. Until next time!篇3My Summer Vacation AdventuresHi there! My name is Lily and I'm 10 years old. I just finished 4th grade and I had the most amazing summer vacation ever! I went on so many fun adventures with my family and friends. Let me tell you all about it!It all started on the last day of school. I was so excited for summer to begin! No more waking up early, no more homework, and two whole months of freedom. My parents had already planned some really cool trips for us during the break. The first big adventure was our annual camping trip up in the mountains. We drove for what felt like forever, but I didn't mind because I was glued to the window watching the scenery change from city to forest. When we arrived at the campsite, mydad set up our tent while my mom started the campfire. I loved roasting marshmallows and making s'mores! We went on a couple of hikes and saw some deer, rabbits, and even a bear from pretty far away. Sleeping in the tent was fun too, except for when it rained one night and we got a little wet. After camping, we went to visit my grandparents who live at the beach. I love going there because I get to swim in the ocean and build sandcastles all day long. My grandpa taught me how to surf this year too! It was really hard at first and I fell off the board a bunch, but by the end of the week I could ride the little waves all by myself. Such an awesome feeling! We also went fishing a few times on my grandpa's little boat. I didn't catch any fish, but my grandma made the yummiest fish tacos from what my grandpa caught. For the 4th of July, we had a big party and barbecue at our house. My parents invited all our neighbors and family friends over. I got to run around with my friends setting off some small fireworks and sparklers when it got dark. The grand finale was when my dad lit off the big fireworks show he had bought. The colors exploding in the sky were so bright and beautiful! I felt like a kid at a real fireworks show. After the show, we had a contest to see who could roast the perfect marshmallow for s'mores. I wonbecause mine was golden brown on the outside and perfectly gooey in the middle. Yum!A few weeks later, my parents surprised me and my little brother with a trip to Disneyland! I had been begging to go for years and I still couldn't believe it when we showed up at the park entrance. We spent three whole days riding every roller coaster and meeting all the Disney princesses and characters. My favorite rides were Space Mountain and Splash Mountain. We also got to watch an amazing parade and see the fireworks show at night. Magical is the perfect word to describe the whole experience! On the way home from Disneyland, we stopped for a few days in San Francisco. That's such a fun city! We rode cable cars, visited the sea lions at Pier 39, walked across the Golden Gate Bridge, and took a tour to Alcatraz Island where the famous prison is. My little brother was a little scared of Alcatraz at first, but then he thought it was cool to see the old jail cells. For dinner one night, we went to the most delicious Italian restaurant in Little Italy and I had the best spaghetti and meatballs ever. Yum!As summer came to an end, all my friends came over for one final backyard bash and sleepover. We ran through the sprinklers, had a massive water balloon fight, ate watermelon and popsicles, and played hide and seek until it got dark. Then we set up our sleeping bags in the backyard and told scary stories and looked at the stars before falling asleep. I was so sad that my summer adventures were over, but I had made so many amazing memories. Now I'm back in school for 5th grade. Whenever I get bored in class, I just daydream about my summer and all the fun I had. I feel so lucky my parents took us on so many great trips. I can't wait for next summer to have new adventures! Maybe we'll go to Hawaii or New York City. A girl can dream, right? Well, that's my story. Thanks for reading!篇4My First Day of High SchoolYay! I'm finally in high school! I've been waiting for this day for so long. I can't believe it's actually here. I'm a big kid now, like my older brother and sister. No more elementary school for me!Yesterday was the last day of summer vacation. Mom made my favorite dinner, chicken nuggets and french fries, to celebrate. After dinner, we went school supply shopping. I got a brand new backpack with my favorite Pokémon characters on it. I alsopicked out some really cool mechanical pencils and a super cute notebook with a puppy on the cover. I'm all set and ready to go!This morning, I woke up before my alarm even went off because I was so excited. I put on my new outfit that I picked out special for the first day. It's a blue t-shirt with a rocket ship on it and a pair of jeans. I brushed my teeth extra well and made sure my hair looked perfect. I wanted to look my best for my first day of high school. When I got downstairs, Mom had made my favorite breakfast of pancakes with chocolate chips. My stomach was too nervous to eat much though. I was just too excited! Finally, it was time to head out the door. Mom took a million pictures of me before I left. I felt like a celebrity! The high school is really big compared to my old elementary school. There were so many people everywhere when I arrived. I wasn't sure where to go at first, but I followed the signs to the auditorium for the welcome assembly. I found a seat near the front and waited for it to start. The principal came out on stage and welcomed us all to the new school year. He talked about all the great opportunities we'll have in high school, like joining clubs and sports teams. He saidthis would be an exciting new chapter in our lives. I could hardly sit still in my seat, I was so eager to get started! After the assembly, we went to our first class of the day. I have math first period. I was a little nervous because I've heard high school math is really hard. But my teacher, Mr. Collins, seems really nice. He went over the syllabus and classroom rules with us. It doesn't seem too bad so far.My second class of the day was English. The teacher, Mrs. Parker, had us go around and introduce ourselves to the class. I was pretty shy at first, but I told everyone my name and that my favorite subject is art. I also mentioned that I'm the youngest of three kids. I have an older brother in 11th grade and a sister who just graduated from here last year. For the rest of the day, I had classes like history, science, and P.E. High school is pretty different from elementary school. We change classes for each subject instead of staying in the same room all day. And we only have a few minutes in between classes to get to our next one. It's going to take some getting used to!At lunch time, I met up with my friend Lily from my old elementary school. We were both really excited to have lunch together in the big cafeteria. There were so many different food options to choose from! I got a slice of pepperoni pizza, sometater tots, an apple, and a carton of chocolate milk. We found a table and chatted about our mornings and how different high school is.The rest of the afternoon flew by in a blur. Before I knew it, the final bell had rung and it was time to go home. I met up with my older brother Kyle and we walked home together. He asked me how my first day went. I told him all about my classes, teachers, and the new kid I met at lunch who's really intoPokémon like me."Just wait until tomorrow," Kyle said. "The first day is always the easiest!"I'm not sure if I believe him. Today seemed pretty tough already with getting used to everything new. But I'm sure it'll get easier once I get into the swing of things. I'm just so happy and proud of myself for making it through my very first day of high school! I can't wait to see what the rest of the year has in store. When I got home, I flopped down on the couch feeling exhausted. Mom asked me all about my day over an after-school snack of cookies and milk. I gave her all the details about my classes, teachers, and new friends. She said she was really proud of me for doing so well on my first day."I have a surprise for you for working so hard today," she said with a smile. She handed me a crisp 20 bill! Wow, an allowance for making it through the first day. This high school thing might not be so bad after all!Tonight I don't have any homework yet, so I'm just going to relax. Maybe I'll start a new video game or watch a movie. I need to get rested up because tomorrow is day two of high school. If today was as crazy as it was, I can only imagine what the rest of the year will be like. Wish me luck!I can't wait to go back tomorrow and keep learning and making new friends. This is just the start of my amazing high school journey. Bring it on, high school! I'm ready for the adventure.篇5My First English Essay of 10th Grade!Hi everyone! My name is Emma and I'm a 10th grader at Oakwood High School. This is my very first English essay assignment for the new school year. I'm a little nervous because writing essays is not my favorite thing to do, but I'll give it my best shot! The teacher said the essay prompt is: "Describe a happy memory from your childhood summer vacations and explain why it was so meaningful to you." That sounds like a fun topic! I have a lot of great summer memories from when I was little.I think my favorite summer memory is from when I was 8 years old. My family went on a big road trip that year to visit my grandparents in Florida. We drove all the way from Michigan in our old station wagon. The drive took forever and my little brother Jason and I fought a lot in the backseat. But once we finally made it to Florida, it was the best vacation ever!My grandparents lived in a cute little house right near the beach. Every morning, my brother and I would wake up early, have breakfast, and then run straight down to the beach to play. The beach was our happy place that summer. We made sandcastles, looked for seashells, and splashed around in the warm ocean water for hours. One day, we even got to go on a boat tour to look for dolphins! A nice man named Captain Mike took us out on his small fishing boat. At first, we didn't see any dolphins. But then Captain Mike told us to look closely at the little waves in the distance. We all squinted our eyes and suddenly a few gray dolphins started jumping out of the water! We watched themgracefully leap up and then dive back down into the clear blue sea. Seeing the happy dolphins put the biggest smiles on our faces. On another day, my dad took us to this amazing mini golf course right on the beach. It was callled "Jungle Safari" and it was designed to look like you were golfing through a rainforest! There were moving animal statues along the course, like gorillas, elephants, and tigers. My favorite hole had a massive fake volcano that actually puffed out smoke! I was so excited that I got a hole-in-one on that hole. Even though I didn't win the whole game, just getting that one perfect shot made me feel like a mini golf master. In the evenings, the whole family would walk along the beach together looking for cool seashells and watching the sunset. The sunsets in Florida were like artwork in the sky. The sun was this giant orange ball sinking below the horizon, with streams of pink, purple, and red colors glowing all around it. My mom always told us that the different colors were pipes of color being painted across the clouds by angels. I'm not sure if that's true, but I loved using my imagination to see the pictures in the sunset clouds. After the sun went down, we often got ice cream from the little shop down the road called Sandy's Sweet Treats. My favorite flavor was Superman - it was this crazy combination of bright blue and yellow ice cream swirled together. I have no idea what it was supposed to taste like, but to me it just tasted like sweet happiness. We would all sit outside on the patio licking our drippy ice cream cones together as a family. Those were the simple, sugary sweet moments that made me feel so happy and loved.Eventually, it was time to leave Florida and head back home to Michigan. I cried big sad tears because I didn't want the fun to end. But my mom gave me a big hug and told me "Don't be sad that it's over, be happy that it happened!" She was right. Instead of being upset about leaving, I should just feel grateful that I got to make so many wonderful memories during those few blissful summer weeks. Now, over 10 years later, I can still vividly picture all the splashing ocean waves, vibrant sunsets, and melting ice cream drips from that vacation. Whenever I think back to that trip, I get flooded with warm feelings of safety, joy, and family love. Those are the cozy feelings that a truly happy childhood memory can leave imprinted on your heart forever. That's why this summer vacation to Florida was so special and meaningful to me. It was a magical few weeks full of new experiences, enchanting sights, and quality family time. It was a place where an 8-year-old me could just be free to play, explore, and make lifelong memories. I'm so grateful my parents gave me that amazing gift of a fun-filled summer escape. It's a happy memory that will always put a smile on my face, no matter how old I get.Well, there's my first essay for 10th grade English! I worked really hard on capturing all the descriptive details that made that vacation so vividly memorable. I hope I did a good job painting that picture with my words. Writing about this positive childhood experience has me feeling excited for all the new adventures and happy memories that high school will bring. Bring it on, 10th grade!篇6My English Class Adventures!Hey there, friends! It's me, your buddy Tommy, here to share all the fun and excitement from my English class this week. Buckle up, because it's been quite a rollercoaster ride!Monday morning started with a bang, literally! Our teacher, Miss Johnson, came into the classroom wearing the silliest wig you've ever seen. It was a bright yellow afro that made her look like a giant fluffy dandelion. We all burst into laughter, and she joined us with her contagious giggles. She explained that she wanted to make our first day back after the holidays extra special and memorable. Mission accomplished, Miss Johnson! After we settled down, she introduced our new topic for the semester – "Exploring Cultures Around the World." I couldn't contain my excitement! Learning about different countries, traditions, and cuisines is one of my favorite things. We kicked things off by watching a short video about the vibrant festivals celebrated in India. The colors, music, and dancing were so captivating that I felt like I was transported to the bustling streets of Mumbai. On Tuesday, we delved deeper into Indian culture by reading a folk tale called "The Monkey and the Crocodile." It was a hilarious story about an unlikely friendship between the two animals and the mishaps they encountered. Miss Johnson had us act out the different characters, and I got to be the crocodile. You should have seen me waddling around the classroom, snapping my jaws, and making the funniest crocodile sounds ever!Wednesday was my favorite day of the week because we got to explore Indian cuisine. Miss Johnson brought in an array of delicious snacks and dishes for us to sample. There were samosas (those crispy, triangular pastries filled with spiced potatoes and peas), naan bread (soft and fluffy, perfect for scooping up curry), and my all-time favorite, gulab jamun (those sweet, syrupy dough balls that melt in your mouth). I couldn't get enough of the flavors and aromas!Thursday was dedicated to learning some basic Hindi phrases. Miss Johnson taught us how to greet each other, introduce ourselves, and even count to ten. It was so much fun trying to wrap our tongues around the unfamiliar sounds and words. By the end of the class, we were all confidently saying "Namaste" (hello) and "Dhanyavaad" (thank you) to each other. Finally, on Friday, we had a special guest visit our class – a young Indian dancer named Priya. She performed a classical Indian dance called Bharatanatyam, which involves intricate hand gestures, footwork, and facial expressions. Priya looked like a graceful swan as she glided across the floor, her colorful costume swirling around her. After her mesmerizing performance, she taught us a few basic dance moves, and we all had a blast trying to mimic her fluid movements. As the week came to a close, I felt like I had gained a deeper appreciation for the rich and diverse Indian culture. From the captivating stories and vibrant festivals to the mouthwatering cuisine and enchanting dance forms, it was an experience I'll never forget. But that's not all, my friends! Miss Johnson promised that we'd be exploring many more fascinating cultures throughout the semester. I can't wait to see what exciting adventures await us in the upcoming weeks. Stay tuned for my next report, where I'll share all the details with you!Until then, keep exploring, keep learning, and most importantly, keep having fun!Your pal,Tommy。
