It would be here in four hours, but the Titanic would sink in less than two. No one could rescue us in time. Phillips searched for closer ships and I ran to and from the bridge with news. The decks were steeper now as the front of the ship sank. Some passengers prepared themselves for the end. There had been more than 2,200 passengers and crew on the ship, but there were only enough lifeboats for 1,178!
005 Chapter 1 "Queen of the Seas" People have called me a hero. I don't know about that, because there were many heroes in the early hours of 15th April 1912. I was only 21 that year. I had worked for nearly a year as a ship's radio operator.

英语作文《母亲的爱》
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the small town, I found myself sitting on the porch steps, reminiscing aboutthe love that has been the cornerstone of my life. Its a love that is as boundless as the ocean and as enduring as the stars in the sky the love of a mother.Growing up, my mother was not just a figure of authority and care she was my confidante, my mentor, and my best friend. Her love was evident in the smallest of gestures and the most significant of life events. It was the first smile she greeted me with in the morning, the warm embrace she offered when I came home after a long day, and the quiet strength she displayed when life threw challenges our way.One of the most vivid memories I have is from my childhood when I fell ill with a high fever. The world around me was spinning, and all I could feel was the unbearable heat radiating from my body. It was late at night, and the house was shrouded in darkness, save for the dim light from the hallway. My mother, sensing my discomfort, rushed to my side. Her face, etched with worry, was a beacon of hope in the darkness. She held a cold compress to my forehead, her gentle touch a soothing balm to my aching body.As the hours ticked by, she stayed by my side, her vigil unbroken. She would change the compress, adjust my blankets, and offer me sips of water, all the while murmuring words of comfort and reassurance. The love she had for me was palpable in the air, a tangible force that enveloped me in its warmth. It was a love that transcended words, a love that spokevolumes through her actions. My mothers love was also the driving force behind my education. She believed in the power of knowledge and the importance of hard work. She would spend hours helping me with my homework, patiently explaining concepts that I found challenging. Her encouragement and support were the fuel that propelled me to strive for excellence, to reach for the stars, and to never settle for mediocrity. But it wasnt just about academic success. My mother instilled in me the values of kindness, empathy, and resilience. She taught me to stand up for what is right, to be compassionate towards others, and to face adversity with courage and determination. Her love was the foundation upon which I built my character, the guiding light that illuminated my path through life.As I grew older, the nature of our relationship evolved. We became friends, sharing secrets, dreams, and fears. We would spend hours talking about everything under the sun, from the trivial to the profound. Her love continued to be a constant presence, a comforting presence that reassured me that no matter what life threw at me, I would never be alone. Now, as I sit here reflecting on the past, I am filled with a deep sense of gratitude for the love that my mother has given me. It is a love that has shaped me, guided me, and supported me through the highs and lows of life. It is a love that has taught me the true meaning of selflessness, sacrifice, and unconditional devotion. In the end, the love of a mother is a gift that cannot be measured or quantified. It is a love that is as unique as the individual who bestows it, as powerful as the emotions it evokes, and as enduring as the memories it creates. It is a love that will continue to inspire, to nurture, and to heal, long after the sun has set and the stars have faded from the sky.。

My Most Memorable Adventure at UniversityHi there! My name is Jamie and I'm 8 years old. I was asked to write about my most unforgettable experience at university. That might sound a bit silly since I'm just a kid and haven't even started elementary school yet. But you see, a few months ago, I got to visit my older sister Sara at her university and had the craziest adventure!Sara is a junior studying biology at a big state university a few hours away from our hometown. She lives on campus in the dorms. One weekend, my parents took me along when they went to visit her. We got to see where she lives, the cafeteria where she eats, the huge library, and all her classroom buildings. It was like a whole city just for students! After the official tour, Sara said she had one more special place to show us. She grabbed her backpack and led us out toward the edge of campus. We walked and walked, past the sports fields and parking lots, until we came to a fence with a little gate. On the other side was a forest!"This is one of my favorite spots," Sara told us as we stepped through the gate. "It's a nature preserve right next to campus. With all my studying, it's nice to get away and recharge in the peaceful woods."We followed a little dirt path winding through the tall trees. The air smelled so fresh and earthy. Squirrels and chipmunks scampered across the trail in front of us. After about ten minutes, the trail opened up to a beautiful clearing with a small pond in the middle. Ducks were swimming across the water's surface while colorful dragonflies zipped back and forth."Wow, this is amazing!" I exclaimed. "Can we stop and eat our snacks here?"We settled down on the soft grass at the water's edge and pulled out the granola bars and apple slices Mom had packed. Everything tasted so much better surrounded by nature's beauty. Once we finished eating, I asked Sara if I could explore a bit. She said to stay close and be careful.I wandered over to the pond's edge, squatting down to get a closer look at the clear water. That's when I spotted something that made my eyes go wide - a tiny baby turtle was struggling, stuck upside down in the shallows! Without even thinking, I rolled up my jacket sleeves and reached into the cold water to gently scoop it up.The little guy was so cute, no bigger than an orange slice. Its miniature head and legs poked out from its mottled shell as it blinked up at me. I carefully turned it over and placed it in a patch of mud at the pond's edge. It seemed frozen at first, but then it slowly started paddling its pint-sized flippers, heading back into the water. I felt so proud that I may have saved its life! But when I stood back up, I realized my short exploration had taken me further from my family than I thought. And to make matters worse, I had wandered off the main trail! The trees looked different from every angle and I couldn't remember which way I'd come from. Suddenly, the peaceful forest didn't seem so friendly."Sara?" I called out in a small voice. "Mom? Dad?" But there was no answer.I started walking in what I hoped was the right direction, but every path appeared the same. Tears welled up in my eyes as I realized - I was lost in the woods! What if I never found my way back and had to spend the night out here all alone? Bears and coyotes lived in these forests...at least according to the movies I'd seen. My imagination ran wild as I envisioned growling predators creeping through the shadowy bushes, stalking their next helpless meal - me!Just then, I heard something rustling in the undergrowth off to my left. My heart pounded in my chest as I whipped my head around, half-expecting a snarling beast to come bursting forth. But instead, I saw Sara appear on the trail, waving frantically."Jamie! There you are!" she shouted, running towards me with Mom and Dad right behind her. "We've been searching everywhere for you!"They all crushed me in a massive group hug, professing how scared they had been. Sara gently scolded me for wandering so far off without telling anyone. I burst into tears, sobbing about how I thought I'd be stuck out here forever as some animal's dinner. We all had a good laugh over my overactive imagination once I explained, although Sara assured me the woods weren't entirely harmless either. On the walk back to Sara's dorm, I couldn't stop chattering about my harrowing ordeal - how I'd bravely rescued the baby turtle, then gotten turned around on the twisted paths. I felt like a real adventurer who had survived an epic journey through the savage wilderness! From that day on, I had a newfound appreciation for staying on the trail and not letting my curiosity run too wild. But I'll also never forget the sense of wonder I felt in those sacred woods, and how their beauty revealed surprisesand potential dangers around every bend. It was an experience that would shape my future as an intrepid explorer to the very end!。
CC-65 AC DC 电流测量器操作手册说明书
CC-65 AC/DC CURRENT CLAMP OPERATOR’S MANUALINTRODUCTIONWhen measuring the AC/DC Current with the Current Clamp, a multimeter or scope can directly measure the current up to 65 A , with a frequency up to 20KHz. In this method, there is no need to break a circuit or to affect the isolation to measure the current. The Current Clamp is not only available for the detection or monitor of the possibly existing creepage, but for the measurement with little gap using its extended jaws. However, it is necessary to turn the zero adjustment knobs on the clamp until the multimeter or scope reads zero.APPLICATION PROCEDURE1. When connected with any multi-meter whose input impedance is 10k ohms minimum, insert the black banana plug into the COM jack and the red banana plug into the V-Ω jack. When connected with a scope, connect the BNC connector of the clamp to a scope BNC connector.2. Set the power switch form “Off” to “ON” position, that is to set the multimeter range to 1mV/10mA or 1mV/100mA. Then, the green LED will be lighting, indicating that the clamp is switched on..3. when the current is not greater than 2 ampere ,please set the current clamp range to 1mV/10mA and set the multi-meter range to 200mV AC or 200 mV DC, which depends on the type of the current.4. Before measuring the DC current, it is needed to turn the zero adjustment knobs on the clamp until the multimeter reads zero. That means pushing down the zero adjustment knobs on the clamp until the multimeter reads zero. Then let go hold of the zero adjustment knobs. When using a scope, set DC coupled mode to measure DC current.5. Clamp the jaws around the current-carrying conductor and operate as above.6. When the current clamp range is set to 1mV/10mA, the actual current is ten times of the measured current whose unit is mA. For example, the measured current is 10 mV and The actual current of the current-carrying conductor is 10×10=100mA.7. When the current clamp range is set to 1mV/100mA, the actual current is one hundred times of the measured current whose unit is mA. For example, the measured current is 5 mV and The actual current of the current-carrying conductor is 5×100=500mA. APPLICATION NOTES1. In the case of DC current, the output is positive when the current flows from the upside to the underside of the clamp. The red banana plug is positive.2. In the case of DC current measurement, the current clamp can not possibly zero properly, due to the hysteresis effect. To eliminate this, open and close the jaws several times and then zero again.APPLICATION SAFETY1. The voltage of the conductor measured with the current clamp should be little than 300V DC or 240V rms AC,2. We are forbidden to measure the conductor whose insulation has break down or wear down, in order to avoid doing harm to us.SPECIFICATIONS GENERALCaptured Conductor diameter Size: 9mm maximumLow Battery Indicator: Red LED lightingOperating Temperature: 0℃ to 50℃, 70% R.H.Storage Temperature: -20℃~+70℃, 80% R.H.Battery type: 9V DC, NEDA 1604, 6F22, 006PBattery Life: 100 hours typical with carbon-zincWeight: 250 gram typicalDimensions: 195 mm (H) x 70 mm (W) x 33 mm (D)Output: wire with a straight banana plug or BNC connectorELECTRICAL (At 23±5℃, 70% R.H. maximum)Efficient Measure Range:1mV/10mA: 10mA to 2 A, multimeter range is set to DC or rms AC 200mV1mV/100mA: 100mA to 20 A, multimeter range is set to DC or rms AC 200mV20A to 65 A, multimeter range is set to DC or rms AC 2V Precision:System Accuracy: The Precision of the current clamp add the Precision of the digital multimeter or scope. For example, if the conductor carries 100 mA current, the current clamp range will be setto 1mV/10mA and the output is 10mV.
