How to improve psychological health?

Nowadays, psychological health becomes the biggest concerns in almost every country. It’s reported that one in four British adults now suffers from a chronic lack of sleep, and one fifth of students have psychological problems. In consequence, the students’ psychological health is more important than before. Students, flowers of our country, are on the time to foster a correct outlook on the world, life and values. It’s high time to improve the awareness of mental-health problems in students. However, the fact that most students care about mental health but cannot envisage psychological problems is further severe.
Undoubtedly, school should pay more attention to students’ psychological health. Colleges are supposed to call for students to attend some lectures about mental health. What’s more, school should provide some safe and reliable solutions to students who are faced with various problems. For example, there should be a psychological counseling hot-line or office for students to turn to when they need some psychological care. A study found that half of students who had had suicidal thoughts never sought counseling or treatment. Therefore school should not only set up hot-line, but also promote what they do for students.
As a student, if we get into trouble, we should talk to others instead of saying nothing. To be optimistic is also a good way in daily life. Some students are worried about what other people think if they seek mental health care. However, no one will laugh at you, because psychological problem is common for us. From my perspective, what we can do is positive and optimistic attitude, and we can attend more activities to make more friends and open our minds.。
