地理区域:亚洲共有48个国家和地区。

在地理上习惯分为东亚、东南亚、南亚、西亚、中亚和北亚。

东亚包括中国、朝鲜、韩国、蒙古和日本。

东南亚包括越南、老挝、柬埔寨、缅甸、泰国、马来西亚、新加坡、印度尼西亚、菲律宾、文莱等国家。

南亚包括斯里兰卡、马尔代夫、巴基斯坦、印度、孟加拉国、尼泊尔、不丹和锡金。

西亚也叫西南亚,包括阿富汗、伊朗、阿塞拜疆、亚美尼亚、格鲁吉亚、土耳其、塞浦路斯、叙利亚、黎巴嫩、巴勒斯坦、约旦、伊拉克、科威特、沙特阿拉伯、也门、阿曼、阿拉伯联合酋长国、卡塔尔和巴林。

中亚包括土库曼斯坦、乌兹别克斯坦、吉尔吉斯斯坦、塔吉克斯坦和哈萨克斯坦的南部。

北亚指俄罗斯的西伯利亚地区。

【居民】人口 35.13亿,约占世界总人口的60.5%,以中国人口最多,人口在1亿以上的还有印度、印度尼西亚、日本、孟加拉国和巴基斯坦。

人口分布以中国东部、日本太平洋沿岸、爪哇岛、恒河流域等地最为密集。

种族:黄种人约占全洲人口的3/5以上。
