We can enable ourselves to ride the winds of the storm that bring sickness, tragedy, failure and disappointment in our lives. We can soar above the storm.
The eagle will fly to some high spot and wait for the winds to come. When the storm hits, it sets its wings so that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages below , the eagle is soaring above it.

A boy found an eagle's egg and he put it in the nest of a prairie chicken. The eagle hatched and thought he was a chicken. He grew up doing what prairie chicken do-scratching at the dirt for food and flying short distances with a noisy fluttering of wings. It was a dreary life. Gradually the eagle grew older and bitter. One day he and his prairie chicken friend saw a beautiful bird soaring on the currents of air, high above the mountains.“Oh, I wish I could fly like that!”said the eagle. The chicken replied, “Don't give it another thought. That's the mighty eagle, the king of all birds-you could never be like him!”And the eagle didn't give it another thought. He went on cackling and complaining about life. He died thinking he was a prairie chicken. My friends, you too were born an eagle. The Creator intended you to be an eagle, so don't listen to the prairie chickens!

Once upon a time, I was a majestic eagle soaring through the clear blue sky. My powerful wings carried me effortlessly as I hunted for prey and explored the vast wilderness. I was the king of the skies, untouchable and free. But one fateful day, tragedy struck. I was flying high above the mountains, when a sudden gust of wind caught me off guard. I lost control and crashed into a tree, breaking my wings. I was devastated. My once strong and mighty wings were now useless and broken.Unable to fly, I was grounded and vulnerable. I felt helpless and lost. I watched as other birds flew gracefully above me, envy and longing filling my heart. I yearned to be back in the sky, to feel the wind against my feathers and the thrill of the hunt.Days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months. I tried to mend my broken wings, but they never fully healed.I was resigned to a life on the ground, forever grounded. But amidst the despair, I learned a valuable lesson. I realized that my worth was not solely defined by my ability to fly. I may have been physically broken, but my spirit remained unbroken. I still possessed the same determination and resilience that had once made me the king of the skies.I began to explore new ways to navigate the world around me. I honed my senses and became an expert at spotting prey from the ground. I learned to adapt and survive in my new circumstances. I became an inspiration to those around me, showing them that even in the face of adversity, one can still find joy and purpose.

On Eagle

On Eagle's WingsIn the middle of a beautiful day, I was feeling lost, as if the world was crashing in on me. I didn't know which way to go, except to head out to the countryside. On days like this I love to find a place where silence rule where the wind in the tall pine trees sounds like ocean waves crashing along some deserted beach I've walked along in my memory.

At first I headed to the city park. Not very countryside-like, but close enough to begin my journey inward. I went to the spot where I used to take my kids-when I still had kids. That might give you an idea of what my wretched day was all about: My kids grew up and I didn't.

As I ponder over the question of whether I am a fledgling or an eagle soaring in the wind, I find myself torn between the two possibilities. On one hand, being a fledgling represents a sense of innocence and naivety, akin to a young bird just learning to fly. It is a stage of life where one is full of potential and eager to explore the world. However, on the other hand, being an eagle symbolizes strength, power, and the ability to conquer any challenge that comes my way. It is a stage where one has honed their skills and is ready to face the world head-on.If I were to choose the path of a fledgling, I would embrace the journey of self-discovery and growth. Just like a young bird testing its wings, I would take risks and try new things, even if it means making mistakes along the way.I would not be afraid to ask for help or seek guidance from others, as I understand that learning is a continuousprocess. For instance, when I started learning a new language, I sought the help of a language tutor who guided me through the basics and provided valuable insights. I stumbled and struggled at times, but I persevered and eventually became proficient in the language. On the other hand, if I were to choose the path of an eagle, I would embrace the challenges and responsibilities that come with it. I would strive for excellence in everything I do and push myself beyond my limits. I wouldnot settle for mediocrity but instead aim for greatness. As the saying goes, "The sky's the limit." For example, when I was given a leadership role in a group project, I took charge and motivated my team members to achieve our common goal. I encouraged them to think outside the box and pushed them to deliver their best work. Together, we soared to new heights and accomplished more than we ever thought possible.

Did you know that an eagle knows when a storm is approaching long before it breaks?

The eagle will fly to some high spot and wait for the winds to come. When the storm hits, it sets its wings so that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages below, the eagle is soaring above it.

The eagle does not escape the storm. It simply uses the storm to lift it higher. It rises on the winds that bring the storm.

When the storms of life come upon us—and all of us will experience them—we can rise above them by setting our belief that we can make it. The storms do not have to overcome us. We can allow our inner power to lift us above them.

We can enable ourselves to ride the winds of the storm that bring sickness, tragedy, failure anddisappointment in our lives. We can soar above the storm.

Remember, it is not the burdens of life that weigh us down, it is how we handle them.
