Unit 3 Friends from other countries (Oxford English 7A)Period 1 教学说明静教院附校林沁轶一、前端分析1.教材内容分析牛津英语7A Unit 3的主题为“Friends from other countries”(来自外国的朋友),文本第一课时向学生介绍Garden City作为大都市的特点,重点介绍城市中的外国人。
文本要求学生需掌握国家及该国人名称的准确表达,并能用英语熟练表达至少5位数的数值。
2. 重点与难点分析本节课的教学重点是让学生熟练运用call sb. sth.的句型来介绍各个国家的人,并能熟练使用英语描述数值较大的数,大部分学生对上述知识有一定基础,例如,学生通过对话句式的呈现即可进行巩固学习;数值的表达对大多数学生来说已经是基本习得的知识技能。
本节课的教学难点为:首先,有几个国家,如China, Japan, Britain相对应的人Chinese,Japanese, British在单复数上都有特殊的变化,教师需为绝大多数学生重点讲解。
另外,中文与英语在数值单位的表达上的习惯不同,需要学生通过操练习惯掌握英语的表述,而不再是脑海中先翻译成中文再转换为英语。

该班学生整体英语基础处于全年级中上水平。
学生课堂思维活跃,发言积极,自学意识强,对新授知识在日常生活场景中的运用有兴趣。
但学生表达习惯不严谨,对口语中的语法往往思考不够细致,特别是动词的时态以及名词的单复数在课堂互动中需要进行实时的纠错与操练。
二、教学目标设定1. 能掌握文本中的新单词、词组及句型;熟练切换某些国家名词和相关国家的人的名词对应并能快速准确地读出大数值。
2. 训练学生运用新学的词组与句型将外国、外国人以及该国人在Garden City 的人数完整表达在相应对话中。
