Every kid knows those captivating tales of the Monkey King battling demons, causing chaos in the heavens, and eventually joining the journey to bring sacred Buddhist scrolls from India back to China. His bold defiance but also devotion to virtue is so inspiring. The Monkey King epitomizes the very best of Chinese wit, kung fu spirit and dauntless heroism.
