RECOMMENDATIONSFOR PROPER MAINTENANCE•Do…Rinse thoroughly after each use.“Thorough”rinsing can be done by running water for a few minutes and rubbing the cleaned area with a clean sponge.•Do…T owel dry after each use to prevent mineral deposits from building up on the surface of the sink.•Do…Clean the sink once a week, being sure to rub in the direction of the satin finish grain lines, using an Elkay recommended cleanser.•Do…Use an Elkay bottom grid or rinsing basket to“protect”the finish.Bottom grids and rinsing baskets can remain in the sink and will not cause rusting or pitting.•Do Not…Rub the sink across the satin finish lines.Scouring across the satin finish lines can damage the original sink finish.•Do Not…Allow soap or other household cleansers to dry on the surface of the sink. Most brands contain chemical additives which will affect the original finish.•Do Not…Use solutions of chlorine bleach and water in the sink.Chlorides, which are found in most soaps, detergents, bleaches, and cleansers, are very aggressive to stainless steel. If left on the sink too long they can cause surface pitting.•Do Not…Use a steel wool pad to clean your sink.If a more abra-sive product is needed, use a green Scotch Brite pad being sure to rub in the direction of the satin finish grain lines.Steel wool pads have a tendency to break apart and small particles of steel can become embedded in the surface of the sink. The steel particles will rust and will give the appearance that the sink itself is rusting.•Do Not…Use rubber mats or dishpans in the sink.Leaving rubber mats or dishpans in the sink can lead to surface rust or possible pitting. However,if you insist on using mats or dishpans, please remove them after each use and rinse thoroughly.•Do Not…Leave wet sponges, cloths,or cleaning pads on the sink. This can lead to surface rust.Following these recommendations for the care and cleaning of your stainless steel sink will insure that it will provide you with many years of service.CHLORIDEST oday, chlorides are found in most all soap, detergents, bleaches and cleansers;chlorides can be aggressive to stainless steel. However, chlorides are very water soluble. Therefore,THOROUGH RINSING of your sink after each use to remove any chloride residue and a weekly cleaning is all that is required to keep your sink looking bright and shiny.SCRATCHESLike many metallic surfaces, your stainless steel sink will scratch. These are merely usage scratches and over time will blend into the overall finish of your sink with proper cleaning.KNIVESY our sink is designed to serve as many things but not as a cutting board or chopping block. This type of use will lead to deep scratches in the sink finish and will dull your knives.Elkay does offer various cutting boards which will provide an additional work area. WATER QUALITYThe quality of your water can affect your sink’s appearance. If your water has a high iron content,a brown surface stain can form on the sink giving the appearance of rust.Additionally,in areas with a high concentration of minerals,or with over-softened water,a white film may develop on the sink.T o combat these problems,we suggest that the sink be towel dried after use,and again,on a weekly basis, the sink should be cleaned using a recommended cleanser. FOODSHeavy salt concentration or foods containing high levels of salt should not be allowed to dry on the sink surface.Rinse your sink thoroughly after use.Installation InstructionsELKAY2222 Camden Court Oak Brook, IL 60523© 2017 ElkayPrinted in USA(Rev B 7/17)74180616 ELKAY LIMITED LIFETIME SINK WARRANTYElkay warrants to the original purchaser of an Elkay stainless steel sink that Elkay will,at its option, replace or repair, without charge, such product if it fails due to a manufacturing defect for a lifetime of normal residential use. Press silicone onto countertop.7.Tighten fasteners until mounting brackets are snug against sink.8.Check alignment of sink to countertop opening.9.Tighten down fasteners evenly. Be careful not to overtighten. Remove excess silicone.Undermount Stainless Steel Sinks with 1/8" Overhang Countertop InstallationInstallation Instructions1) RECOMMEND THAT UNDERMOUNT SINKS SHOULD BE INSTALLED BY A PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCED INSTALLER.2) WARNING: THE ENCLOSED CUTOUT TEMPLATE WILL CREATE AN OVERHANG OF APPROXIMATELY 1/8". IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU DISCUSS THIS WITH YOUR CUSTOMER AND AGREE THAT THIS FINISHED APPEARANCE IS THE DESIRED EFFECT. NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR IMPROPER SINK OR COUNTERTOP INSTALLATIONS. DUE TO THE AESTHETIC QUALITIES OF THE CONVERGING BOWL RADII, THE TEMPLATE FURNISHED WITH EACH SINK PROVIDES THE ONLY OPENING RECOMMENDED FOR INSTALLATION OF UNDERMOUNT SINKS. SEE ILLUSTRATION BELOW.3) UNDERMOUNT SINKS SHOULD ONLY BE FASTENED TO A SOLID SURFACE COUNTERTOP (I.E. A stainless steel sink finish will retain its original bright appearance if the sink is rinsed thoroughly after each use. Running the water from the spray hose for a few minutes can do “Thorough” rinsing. Typically, a rinse and towel dryingafter each use takes care of most everyday clean ups. Ideally, once a week the sink should be scoured with a mildly abrasive cleaner, such as Comet. Rubbing back and forth in the directionof the polish or grain lines will not only remove stubborn stains and greasy film buildups, but will blend usage scratches into the satin finish of the sink. After scouring, rinse thoroughly and wipedry. Your sink will shine like new!ScratchingLike most metals, your new stainless steel sink will scratch. The feature benefit of the uniquesatin finish is the ease with which these scratches blend into the uniform finish of the sink. Thisis accomplished with a periodic scouring with a mildly abrasive kitchen cleanser, such as Comet.Rubber MatsThe resiliency of stainless steel makes it unnecessary to use rubber mats to protect you sink, dishes and glassware. However, if you do use mats, please remove them after each use. If leftin the sink, the water trapped underneath could cause discoloration.Discoloration, Rust and Possible PittingWet sponges, clothes, cleaning pads and rubber mats left on the sink can lead to discoloration.Steel wool pads should never be used to clean your sink. Steel Wool will leave small iron particles in the grain lines that will rust and damage the sink. Continued usage in this mannermay eventually lead to the sink itself rusting and pitting.Liquid SoapDo not allow concentrated liquid detergent to dry on your sink. Most brands contain chemical additives that will affect the original high luster finish.ChloridesToday, chlorides are found in most all soaps, detergents, bleaches and cleansers. Chloridesare not friendly to the stainless steel surface. They should not come in contact with the surfaceof the sink for extended periods. When these chemicals are used in your sink, it should be thoroughly rinsed. This is especially noticed when clothes are soaked in a diluted bleach mixture. The mixture can attack the sink at the water line and cause rusting and pitting.Knives Your sink is designed to serve as many things but not as a cutting board or chopping block. This type of use will lead to deep scratches in the sink finish and will dull your knives.Spotting The quality of your water can affect your sink’s appearance. In areas with hard water,a brown surface stain can form on the sink giving the appearance of rust. This phenomena also occurs in water with high iron content. Additionally, in areas with a high concentration of minerals, or with over-softened water, a white film may develop on the sink. To combat this problem, we suggest that the sink be towel dried after use.Foods Heavy salt concentration or foods containing high levels of salt should not be allowedto dry onto the sink surface. Rinse your sink thoroughly after use.(5/13)0000000793。

IMPORTANTALL SERVICE TO BE PERFORMED BY AN AUTHORIZED SERVICE PERSON Halsey Taylor Owners ManualFully-Recessed Non-Refrigerated FountainFIG. 2FIG. 1IMPORTANT! INSTALLER PLEASE NOTE.THE GROUNDING OF ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT SUCH AS TELEPHONE, COMPUTERS, ETC. TO WATER LINES IS A COMMON PROCEDURE. THIS GROUNDING MAY BE IN THE BUILDING OR MAY OCCUR AWAY FROM THE BUILDING. THIS GROUNDING CAN CAUSE ELECTRICAL FEEDBACK INTO A FOUNTAIN, CREATING AN ELECTROLYSIS WHICH CAUSES A METALLIC TASTE OR AN INCREASE IN THE METAL CONTENT OF THE WATER. THIS CONDITION IS AVOIDABLE BY USING THE PROPER MATERIALS AS INDICATED. ANY DRAIN FITTINGS PROVIDED BY THE INSTALLER SHOULD BE MADE OF PLASTIC TO ELECTRICALLY ISOLATE THE FOUNTAIN FROM THE BUILDING PLUMBING SYSTEM.NOTE: WATER FLOW DIRECTION BUILDING WATER INLETSERVICE STOP (NOT FURNISHED)1/4" O.D. Familiarize yourself with the wallbox which should already be placed in the wall. If not, refer to the Wall frame Installations before proceeding.2. Remove noise pad from paper and locate on bottom back of the basin between the drain and the bubbler holes.CAUTION: TO INSURE PAD DOES NOT INTERFERE WITH THE HOLE AREAS, TRIM THE PAD SO THERE IS APPROX. 1/2" CLEAR-ANCE AROUND THE HOLES.3. Determine location of rough plumbing.4. Attach basin mounting brackets to basin studs located in the lower corners with two (2) provided wing nuts. Tighten securely.5. Install basin. Place the upper edge of basin above the hangers in the wall frame. Slide the basin down until it engages the hanger. Be sure basin is firmly engaged before releasing it.6. Finish securing basin in place through the mounting bracket using the provided two (2)#8 x 3/4" tap screws and two (2) 11/64" ID washers. Tighten securely.7. Install waste tube assembly. Align threaded portion of drain tube assembly with the drain hole in the basin. Place rubber gasket between the drain assembly and the basin, then screw in the drain plug from above. Tighten the drain plug. Snap the strainer plate into the drain plug.8. Install a service stop (not provided) on supply inlet line.9. Make connection from water outlet to regulator valve assembly using the provided strainer. Insert water line in inlet side of strainer (see Figures 1 and 2) to positive stop - approximately 3/4"(19 mm). DO NOT SOLDER TUBES INSERTED INTO THE STRAINER AS DAMAGE TO THE O-RINGS MAY RESULT .10. Open service stop and operate push button to purge air from system. Check thoroughly for leaks. Check stream height from bubbler. Stream height is factory set at 45-50 PSI. If supply pressure varies greatly from this, remove items 17 and 18 and adjust screw on regulator (item 14). Clockwise adjustment will raise stream and CCW adjustment will lower stream height. For best adjustment stream height should be approximately 1-1/2" (38 mm) above the bubbler guard. (See Figure 6).11. Attach regulator housing (Item 13) to front panel (Item 3) with hex nut (Item 16). Install front panel. Hold panel and engage angle on top edge of panel with lower edge of basin. Swing bottom of panel into place against the wall and secure using panel mounting screws.BEFORE STARTING THE INSTALLATION, PLEASE CHECK YOUR INSTALLATION FOR COMPLIANCE WITH PLUMBING, ELECTRICAL AND OTHER APPLICABLE CODESAt 30" above the finished floor, cut a rectangular wall opening 17-1/8" wide by 30-1/8" high. This is required to obtain a rim height of 34-1/2" and 36" bubbler spout height, which is in compliance with ANSI Standard A117.1 (See Fig. 4)Reinforce wall opening on all sides so that it will adequately support the water cooler. IT MUST SUPPORT UP TO 150 LBS. and provide a means of securing the frame assembly in place.Install rough-in plumbing. See Fig. 3 for location of supply water inlet and for location of waste water outlet.Install frame assembly in the wall opening with front edge flush with finished wall face.
