They had movies to watch and little TV screens on the backs of the seats in front of you. I watched a really cool movie about talking animals going on adventures. As soon as we stepped off the plane, we could feel the warm breeze and smell the salty ocean air. It was like nothing I'd ever experienced before back home. It was an extinct volcano, which means it's not erupting with hot lava or anything anymore. The hike was pretty tough and my legs got super tired, but the view from the top was so worth it. On our last few days, we took surf lessons on a beach with littlewaves that were perfect for beginners. The instructors taught us how to paddle out and pop up on the board. It was really hard at first and I fell into the water a bunch of times. But eventually I got the hang of it and was able to ride some small waves all the way to the shore!
