泛读的目的主要是让学生通过阅读了解文章的大致含义。

文章讲述的是一个17岁的的少年John,利用他在学校学习到的急救知识,及时的挽救了受到歹徒袭击而身受重伤的三个孩子的母亲Ms Slade的性命等。

学习本文主要是让同学们掌握急救的常识以,通过前一篇的extensive reading把所学的急救知识应用与生活之中。

本节课是前一篇阅读的延伸,其中还有一些语法知识需要注意。

教学的重点是通过快速阅读了解文章的大体段意,难点是把握文章出现的语法。
