2016海淀高三英语一模真题试卷与解析
2016北京高三一模完形全文
2016北京高三一模完形填空海淀The Write FeelingGrowing up in a military family, l moved a lot. I mostly went to school with other kids whose parents were also in the military. But when my dad retired from the Marines after twenty years of service, I found myself attending a civilian school with twelve-year-olds who shared no similar life experience with me.I was a stranger in a strange land. Everyone in my class had grown up together, and they had no room to spare for a newcomer. I wore different clothes, had different thoughts, and spoke with an accent. I struggled for the first few weeks of school. I had no friends, no activities, and no promise of a bright future. To deal with it all, I began writing in my diary every day—stories of adventure, of old friends, of feelings that l could not speak. I wrote as if my life depended on it as if the very next breath I look could not happen unless I wrote down words. One day, my teacher, Mrs. Bush, came to me and asked why I always sat there writing instead of playing with others. I told her I enjoyed writing and preferred writing to playing. She smiled at me and walked away. About three weeks later, Mrs. Bush gave us a writing assignment. I was excited that I could now participate in something I knew I excelled in.That night I worked and worked on the essay. I wrote with great passion. It was my one chance to feel important and accepted by the class.A few days after we handed in our assignments, Mrs. Bush called me up to the front of the classroom, l stood before thirty pairs of eyes looking at me, and I got worried. Was I in trouble? Did I do something wrong? Then Mrs. Bush told the class, how much she appreciated all the work that went into the essays and that everyone had done a great job. But, she said, one student stood out as an excellent writer, one with imagination, creativity, and word mastery. That student was me!The class clapped politely and Mrs. Bush handed me my paper, with the following remarks on it:“Malinda, you are an excellent writer. You fill your paper with the breathings of your heart. Please keep on writing and share your gift of writing with the world. I am proud of you and glad you are in my class.”Mrs. Bush helped me feel a sense of belonging, a place of purpose, and a way to survive a transition in life. She helped me gain confidence in myself that stayed with me beyond sixth grade. (443 words)西城As a teenager, I was pretty lazy when it came to doing things for my family. I worked hard at school, and sometimes looked after my younger sister. Still, I found myself regularly resisting the urge to help out at home with even the simplest things.Every Wednesday afternoon, for example, my mother drove me to another town for a piano lesson. During my two-hour lesson, she'd rush to the nearby store and buy a week’s worth of grocerie. Given the fact that my mom had driven me twelve miles there, twelve miles back, paid for my lesson, and bought me a candy bar, you’d think I’d be very grateful to help her bring the groceries into the house. But I wasn’t. I gene rally just brought in an armload and left the rest for Mom as I ran to my room, shut the door, and started studying.Don’t get me wrong; even back in my room, I felt guilty about not helping my mother more. Deep inside, I wanted to change my way. But I als o realized that once I did change, there’d be no going back. Once I took on more responsibility, my parents would start expecting more of me. At age fifteen, I sensed that this one small change would mark something much bigger; my personal change from a cared-for, spoiled child to a more responsible, caring and giving young man.I’ll never forget the Wednesday when I made a decision to jump in and see what happened. Returning home from the lesson, I disappeared into my room, as usual. But once inside, I felt that deep and burning shame. Throwing my school books on the bed, I suddenly opened my door and headed back to the garage to help my mother. How happy I felt that day!Surely, over time, I continued to help out with more housework. The neat thing was, the more I helped out, the better I felt about myself and my place in my family. As Mom and Dad realized they could count on me more, our trips became far less stressful, too. In short, it was a win-win situation for everyone.Sometimes the little things we put off doing the longest turn out to be the simplest things to complete. And feeling happy beats feeling guilty any day. (386words)东城Running for a DreamI will never forget that November day. It was hotter than normal. This was the day my father and I had waited so long for, because we had been working towards this race for three years. Dozens of familiar faces from church and school flashed across my view. They had come for me. I saw worry and excitement on my father’s face. Then the race began! For the first two and a half miles. I felt great. I had never before been so ready for something. The weeks leading up to the race were filled with controlled practices and a strict diet. My friends hadn’t seen me in weeks, but they understood the sacrifice required to make my dream a reality. As in all of my races,I didn't start out in the front,I loved the pleasure of passing people as my strength overtook their premature speed. Then without warning,my strength began to decrease. Neck and neck with one of my greatest competitors, I could see the finish line. I had begun the final dash into glory when my knees became weak and my legs gave way. Nothing I could do would make them hold weight.I watched as runners rushed by me. Although I knew my dreams of victory were destroyed, I had to finish the race. However, my legs hurt badly. With all of the strength left in me, I got on my hands and knees and crawled, inch by inch, across the finish line. Voices, both foreign and familiar, cheered me on. They gave me the courage to keep going until the very end.The doctors were there in seconds, but my eyes searched the crowd for him. There was only one person I wanted to talk to. I whispered, “I’m so sorry , Dad, I'm so sorry I disappointed you.” He looked at me, saying, “You could never disappoint me. Sometimes these things just happen. All that matters is that you did your best.”“But we worked so hard. What about our dream?” He reached over for my hand and said, “Don't you know that you are my dream and it has come true?”It wasn't long before my running shoes were back on, marking a new path for my journey, I learned that all of the miles, the tears, the sweat, and the pain my dad and I experienced together were not for a race. What I realized, though, was that to him, I was the greatest prize he had ever won. (421 words)朝阳Communication with a StrangerLast weekend I sat on the bus talking with excitement and so ready to spend time in New York City with one of my best friends from college. As I took the window seat and wore headphones over ears, I almost didn't notice the elderly man sitting beside me.Two hours passed and I was still absorbed in my own world. Then the elderly man asked me a question, a simple question about the bus's Wi-Fi connection, which turned into a two- hour conversation. In fact, it directly affected my personal life.We talked a lot about my dreams, my fears and my life. I shared more with this stranger on the bus than I have with any friend or family member in months. Maybe it had something to do with me just being afraid to let anyone I know close to me. I was amazed that the stranger was not only so deeply interested in getting to know me, but also just as willing to push me to my greatest abilities. He listened carefully to every word I said and made some useful suggestions at times. Instead of politely nodding his head when I mentioned my major, he told me that my strong liking seemed to be psychology, but not the one I was studying. He said that he knew I would face difficulties if I studied psychology and that he fully understood my fear for the failure. This elderly man made me question the plans that I had laid out for my life with just that simple statement. Hehelped me realize that my neatly organized plan for the next five years of my life wasn't all that neat, but actually complex and filled with uncertainty. Most of all, he helped me accept the complex, not stay away from it because of my fear for the unknown. I benefited a lot from talking with the elderly stranger.A few days later, he emailed me, saying, "I think you're heading for great things no matter what you decide to do." The email was filled with words of encourage. In a few hours a stranger showed me a sense of kindness that made me realize that life is sometimes painful but it is going to be okay. (377 words)丰台My tenth Christmas was one I was not looking forward to. Money was tight. Mom said we were old enough not toothers were going through the same thing didn’t help much. One night we had a small pity party for each other. The next day, Mom told us that she had been saving up and shopping around so that we could give the Walters family a Christmas basket.“If anyone needs some cheer, it’s the Walters.” Mom reminded us.family didn’t have enough?it to the Walters.I really didn’t like to have anything to do with them. Not wanting to be recognized , we left the basket on the doorstep and hid behind a nearby bush.Seeing the Walters gather up their basket, I asked in whisper, “Did they look happy?”“Well, yeah, happy, but mostly they looked like they were thinking, Maybe we do belong.”Dad offered to hang up Mrs. Marshall’s tree lights. Mr. Jones had a horse and he was happy to know we had someone to love it.”“I thought since you were giving away food to the Walters, we would never have enough. They really don’t haveour hearts. Perhaps the right gifts will end up with the right families.”Mom always knew truth . Thinking about the expression on the Walters’s faces when they discovered the Christmas。

As the sun rose over the towering buildings, students from Haidian Senior High School hurried through the streets, their backpacks slung over their shoulders and their minds focused on the day ahead.Among them was Emma, a bright and diligent student who had just begun her final year of high school. She had always excelled academically, and this year was no exception. With the first-term model examination looming, Emma was determined to put her best foot forward and achieve the highest possible score. As she walked through the school gates, Emma couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation. The examination was a crucial step in her academic journey, and she knew that her performance would have a significant impact on her future prospects. With a deep breath, she made her way to her classroom, where her classmates were already gathered, their faces etched with a mix of nervousness and determination. The examination day arrived, and Emma found herself seated in the familiar exam hall, her pencil poised and her mind focused. The first section of the test was the situational writing task, and she knew that this was her chance to showcase her language skills and creativity. The prompt for the situational writing task was a scenario involving a school trip to a local museum. Emma read the instructions carefully, taking note of the key details and the specific requirements for the task. She knew that she needed to write a letter to her English teacher, describing her experience and providing feedback on the trip.As she began to write, Emma's thoughts raced. She wanted to capture the essence of the trip, highlighting the educational value and the enjoyment she had experienced. She also wanted to offer constructive feedback that would help the school plan future excursions. With each word she wrote, Emma's confidence grew. She described the exhibits in vivid detail, conveying the sense of wonder and discovery that had filled her as she explored the museum. She touched on the interactive activities that had engaged the students, fostering their understanding of the subject matter. But Emma didn't stop there. She also addressed the logistical aspects of the trip, offering suggestions on how the school could improve the organization and coordination of future outings. Her feedback was thoughtful and constructive, demonstrating her maturity and her commitment to the continuous improvement of the school's educational programs. As the time allotted for the task drew to a close, Emma reviewed her work, making sure that she had addressed all the key points and that her writing was clear and concise. With a sense of accomplishment, she handed in her paper, knowing that she had given her best effort. The following weeks were filled with nervous anticipation as Emma and her classmates awaited the results of the examination. When the scores were finally announced, Emma was overjoyed to learn that she had achieved an exceptional mark on the situational writing task. Her teacher praised her for her attention to detail, her ability to effectively communicate her experiences, and her thoughtful suggestions for improvement. Emma beamed with pride, knowing that her hard work and dedication had paid off.But Emma's success was not just about the score she had earned. It was about the growth she had experienced as a student and as a person. Through the process of preparing for and completing theexamination, she had honed her language skills, developed her critical thinking abilities, and gained a deeper appreciation for the value of education. As Emma looked ahead to the remainder of her final year of high school, she knew that the lessons she had learned from this experience would serve her well. She was more determined than ever to continue striving for excellence, not just in her academics but in all aspects of her life. The 2016 Haidian Senior High School Grade 3 English First-Term Model Examination had been a significant milestone in Emma's journey, and she was grateful for the opportunity to have participated in it. With a renewed sense of purpose and a deep well of knowledge and skills, she was ready to take on the challenges that lay ahead, confident in her ability to succeed.。

My love of flying has shaped the way I live and the person I have become. Two years ago, that passion rocketed to new heights when I had the opportunity to visit Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Arizona. For a whole week I lived in a college dorm, roomed with a total stranger and—best of all—I flew!My group took part in activities ranging from learning about the history of aviation (航空)to flying in state-of-the-art pilot training simulators(模拟装置). At least once a day, I devoted myself to learning one of the world's best training aircrafts, the Cessna 182. Not only did I receive thorough ground instruction, but I also got to fly. In total, I flew five hours to receive my private pilot's license. In that one joyous and oh-so-short week, my passion for aviation grew even stronger. Now, whenever I see a plane flying overhead, I feel a sense of pride thinking I've done thatDuring my time in and above the Arizona desert, I learned not only about the mechanics and techniques of aviation, but also about myself and how I see the world. As I floated in that seemingly endless sea of air, I became aware of the variety and complexity of the humanity below. On the ribbons of roadways, each tiny car carried people with hopes and dreams. I wondered if any of those people had ever wished to fly like an eagle. Then I realized that each must have his or her own dreams and ambitions. That's what makes us unique. We try to respond to something special inside us. I also realized that I was especially fortunate to be making my own dream come true.Everywhere I go, I hear, "Do what makes you happy and you will be happy."It sounds like standard advice, but I've really thought about it and taken it to heart. I couldn't care less about how much money I make or what benefits I receive. I know that I am already in hot pursuit(追逐)of my dreams. And, even if they change, even if they finally don't involve aviation, I'll always aim to fly with the eagles.(1) Two years ago, the author.A. was admitted to a universityB. stayed in a university for one weekC. saw the launch of the rocketD. made good friends with an astronaut(2) Paragraph 2 mainly about.A. which aircraft the author got to flyB. how the author learned to flyC. what the author learned about simulatorsD. why the author got a pilot's license(3) According to the author, makes people unique.A. flying like an eagleB. trying something specialC. having their own dreamsD. learning unusual techniques(4) From the last paragraph, we can learn that the author.A. cares a lot about money and benefitsB. brings happiness to othersC. pursues his aims whatever happensD. offers advice wherever he goes18、【来源】 2016年北京海淀区高三一模(B篇)第60~62题6分2017~2018学年北京西城区北京师范大学附属实验中学高二下学期期中第70~72题6分Do you know electricity can change the way we taste food? Proving this fact is a revolutionary electric fork designed by Japanese researchers that can make any dish taste salty.According to Hiromi Nakamura, a Post Doc Research Fellow at Tokyo's Meiji University, the technology can be very useful for people on special diets. Patients with high blood pressure, for instance, can easily go on a low-salt diet and still enjoy delicious food. And with the fork, there's absolutely no risk of over-salting their food. Luckily, the voltage(电压)is so small that there is no risk of electrocution (触电)either. The idea of adding electricity to food was first exposed as an experiment at the Computer Human Interaction Conference in Austin, Texas, in 2012. Nakamura and her team connected a wire to a 9-volt battery and passed it through a straw placed in a cup of sweet lemonade. Volunteers reported that the charged lemonade tasted "blander", because the electricity created the taste of salt.Nakamura has improved the technology to be able to transfer an electric charge to food through forks and chopsticks. "The metallic part of the fork is one electrode(电极),and the handle is the other, "Nakamura explained. "When you take a piece of food with the fork and put it in your mouth, you connect the circuit. When you remove the fork from your mouth, you disconnect the circuit. So it actually works as a switch. "Simon Klose, host of food program Munchies, who recently visited Nakamura to try out the fork himself, called this form of "food hacking"one of the greatest eating experiences he'd ever had. "When I first heard of electric food, it sounded scary, "he said. He later continued to use a charged fork to eat pieces of fried chicken, and found that the saltiness considerably increased as the electricity was connected.Nakamura has been eating "electric"food for the past three to four years in an attempt to understand it better. "For me, 'food hacking'is about strengthening or weakening real food, "she said. "It may seem like we're cooking but we're actually working on the human senses."(1) The electric fork may benefit people who.A. need to go on a dietB. have high blood pressureC. prefer food free of saltD. show interest in tasty food(2) Paragraph 4 mainly tells us.A. how the electric fork worksB. what makes the circuit connectedC. how the technology was improvedD. why the electric fork was invented(3) From the passage, we learn that the electric fork.A. creates virtual tasteB. changes people's dietsC. helps cure diseasesD. replaces salt in cooking19、【来源】 2016年北京海淀区高三一模(C篇)第63~66题8分2019~2020学年北京石景山区北京市京源学校高二上学期期中第53~56题8分(每题2分)Tea vs CoffeeTea and coffee are two of the most widely consumed drinks in the United States. With popularity and interest in tea continuing to grow in recent years, many consumers have recently considered making the switch from coffee to tea, if they have not done so already. All the buzz surrounding tea and coffee may have you wondering, what are the differences? As it turns out, the differences are many and varied. In the US, interest in tea ranges from coast to coast with the highest in Hawaii and California but stretching to the eastern states of Vermont and New York. On the other hand, the highest interest in coffee tends to be concentrated more in the north and western regions(地区), with the highest search volumes appearing in the states of Hawaii, Washington and Minnesota.Differences between tea and coffee also vary in origin and production. All tea comes from the harvested leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant, while there are about 60 different species of coffee plants. Production of tea is quicker and more efficient: Camellia sinensis plants only need to grow for three years before they are ready to process; coffee plants take up to five years.Perhaps the most concerning issue consumers have when considering making the switch to tea is the question of caffeine. The good news is that when it comes to tea and caffeine, there is something for everyone. Unlike coffee, which typically only comes in decaffeinated and regular, there are several varieties of tea available, based on caffeine preference. From herbal teas that are naturally free of caffeine, to high quality green and black teas that offer less than half the caffeine of coffee, to high caffeine teas such as our specially formulated HiCAF® blends thatcontain slightly more caffeine than a cup of coffee, there is a variety sure to suit your needs. As an added bonus, the lower acidity levels in tea tend to be gentler on the stomach for a more comforting pick-me-up.So what is the answer, coffee or tea? If you are looking for the most healthful benefit possible, tea is probably the winner. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. If, like many Americans, the rising popularity in tea has your interest TAL#NBSP piqued, the images below will help to clearly spell out the differences between tea and coffee.(1) It can be learned from the passage that.A. coffee is of much higher production than teaB. tea and coffee are from harvested leaves of plantsC. the popularity of tea is growing constantly in the USD. there is no regional difference in drinking tea and coffee(2) According to the passage, which of the following contains the least caffeine?A. Social media websites revolutionized the way people communicate and socialize on the Web. However, aside from seeing your friends'new baby on Facebook, or reading about Justin Biebers latest conflict with the law on Twitter, what are some of the real influences?Social networks offer the opportunity for people to re-connect with their old friends and acquaintances, make new friends, share ideas and pictures, and many other activities. Users can keep pace with latest global and local developments, and participate in campaigns and activities of their choice. Professionals use social media sites like LinkedIn to enhance their career and business development. Students can work together with their peers to improve their academic and communication skills.Unfortunately, there are a few downsides too to social networking. If you are not careful, immoral people can target you for cyber bullying and disturbance on social sites. School children, young girls, and women can fall victim to online attacks which can create tension and suffering. If you are a victim of cyber bullying, do not take it lying down, but try to take appropriate legal action against the attacker. Many companies have blocked social networks as addicted employees can distract themselves on such sites, instead of focusing on work. In fact, studies show that British companies have lost billions of dollars per year in productivity because of social media addiction among employees. Also, what you carelessly post on the Net can come back to trouble you. Revealing(泄露)personal information on social sites can make users vulnerable(易受伤害的)to crimes like identity theft, stalking, etc. Many companies perform a background check on the Web before hiring an employee. If a potential employee has posted something embarrassing on social media, it can greatly affect their chances of getting the job. The same holds true for our relationships too, as our loved ones and friends may get to know if we post something undesirable on social networks.Social media has its advantages and drawbacks as each coin has two sides. It is up to each user to use social sites wisely to enhance their professional and social life, and exercise caution to ensure they do not fall victim to online dangers.(1) Paragraph 2 mainly shows that social networks.A. benefit users in various waysB. offer professionals good chancesC. guide users to make right choicesD. help students finish their homework(2) Faced with problems caused by social media, some companies.A. take legal action against the attackersB. avoid posting embarrassing informationC. refuse to hire potential addicted employeesD. forbid the use of social networks during work time(3) The main purpose of this passage is to.A. share experiences in using social mediaB. provide some advice on social problemsC. raise public awareness of social problemsD. remind people to wisely use social media(4) Which of the following shows the development of ideas in this passage?I: Introduction P: Point Sp: Sub-point(次要点) C: ConclusionA.B.C.D. Our society is fast paced. We are all rushing from one place to the next, blowing our horn at slow drivers who may be singing songs in the car with their children or pointing out some interesting sights. We don't have time for that silliness today. But we try to say to ourselves that we will make time for fun tomorrow. It is time to take a few deep breaths and think about our actions and ourwords.1Have you ever really thought about the saying Actions speak louder than words? Think about it now.If you say one thing and act in an opposite way, will the words be ignored and just the actions remembered?I don't think so.2It is also equally important to use words to show appreciation, love, approval and happiness and then follow those words with a hug, pat on the back or smile.3What about that saying? True? Yes! Words carry a lot of weight and will be remembered for years especially when they are written down. Mean words can hurt for that moment and for a lifetime. I am sure that each of us remembers a time when a friend made an unkind comment.4Let's not be a member of that "club". When was the last time that you hid a love note in a lunch box or in your maters coat pocket? If you want to see a bright smile, that will do it! The power of this written note will be remembered for many days, even years."I can live for two months on a good compliment(夸奖)", said Mark Twain. Children grow stronger when they feel appreciated and understood.5 A perfect way to turn a bad day around is to praise your child. "I noticed that your hair looked very nice today. Did you hang your coat up all by yourself? "It is amazing how those few words can change a child's outlook…almost immediately. As my mum found I was ___15___ about it, she bought me 10 lessons with borrowed money.I still remember the first one. I was ___16___ by how organic the sound of the piano was, as I had become familiar with the ___17___ electronic sound. The teacher was trying to explain where middle C was, but I could___18___ play all the major and minor scales.I ___19___ my grade one after eight lessons and got distinction. The music teacher at my school said I could practise on the school's grand piano. I would wake up at 5:30 am to get there in time and play until lessons started. I'd ____22____ lunch and then practise after school until the caretaker kicked me out. At home, I'd have dinner, do three hours of revision, and then ____23____ practice until 1:00 am.My school didn't offer music A-level. I found the Purcell School for young musicians. The audition (试镜)was extremely ____24____and I felt overwhelmed. To my amazement, I was offered a ____25____.I had been told I had started playing too ____26____ to reach conservatoire (音乐学院)level but when I left Purcell, I was awarded the senior piano prize. That was the point when I realized I wasn't behind everyone else. I am now at the Guildhall School in London, where I was offered a scholarship. I feel ____27____: it’s been 10 years since I drew my paper piano and I'm at one of the world's ____28____ conservatoires. The irony is that I continue to do a lot of my practice away from the piano: what we call mental practice. It____29____ key areas of the mind that are less readily accessed by piano playing alone. The paper piano helped stimulate my ____30____ about how music works. 11.
