Also, by 2050, space planes will fly people from Los Angels to Tokyo in just two hours.
Some big companies now prefer to use robots that do not ask for pay rises or go on strike, and work 24 hours a day.
Nowadays, scientists have discovered how to control genes and have already produced clones of animals. By 2050, scientists will be able to produce clones of people and decide how they look, how they behave and how much intelligence they have. Do you have a phobia(恐惧症)? It is not an infectious (传染病) disease, but it can make you quite as bad. A phobia is an unreasonable fear of

James Watt, the son of ship's chandler, was born in Greenock in 1736. Watt had little formal education due to poor health in his youth, but in his father' s shop, he developed an interest in trying to make things "work like clockwork".
In 1763, Watt was asked to repair an early steam engine, known as a Newcomen engine. He found it very inefficient because the cylinder (气缸) had to be heated when steam was admitted, and then gradually cooled again to condense ( 凝结) the steam. This wasted a lot of time and fuel. It was two years later that Watt came up with the idea of condensing the steam in a separate .vessel. This removed the need for heating and
cooling, making the engine faster, safer, and more fuel-efficient. Watt succeeded in improving the early steam engine.
Watt went into business with a Birmingham engineer, producing engines based on this new way. Engineers from all the industrialized countries flocked to see their factories and the new steam engine was widely used in industry. The industrial revolution began!
In 1882, 63 years after Watt's death, the British Association gave his name to the unit of electrical power and today James Watt' s name can be found written on almost every light bulb in the world.

Dear editor,
I’m writing to tell you about the discussion we have had abo ut whether an entrance fee should be charged for parks. 60% of us schoolmates think that an entrance fee do not meet people’s expectations, for a park is considered to be a place where the public can have a good time when they are not busy either at home or at work. If an entrance fee must be paid by the visitors for a park, itwill be necessary to build a gate and surrounding walls. In the end a city will take on a bad look. 40% of us school mates think that an entrance fee can be accepted, but it must not be too expensive The money from ticket selling can be used for paying the gardeners in the park and buying some other kinds of flowers and trees.
With regard to myself, I think an entrance fee is useful, for it can be used to protect a park. Do we share the same opinion, dear editor?
Yours truly, Li Hua。
