49 students, age 12--13years.Generally good intermediate level, but 8 students are better than the rest and need to be challenged. There is a group of 10 students who are weaker. They always understand instructions slower. Most students participate actively, but some better students are shy in the class.

Hand in their exercise paper after class and give marks to them.

They learnt some knowledge about narrative writing but they are not sure about the criterion for writing in the exams. The weaker students need more practice to write grammatically correct and the better students should be challenged to write passage more fluently with wider range of vocabulary.
