教学设计:

A Guide to the University
Food
The TWU Cafeteria is open 7am to 8pm. It serves snacks(小吃), drinks, ice cream bars and meals. You can pay with cash or your ID cards. You can add meal money to your ID cards at the Front Desk. Even if you do not buy your food in the cafeteria, you can use the tables to eat your lunch, to have meetings and to study.
If you are on campus in the evening or late at night, you can buy snacks, fast food, and drinks in the Lower Café located in the bottom level of the Douglas Centre. This area is often used for entertainment such as concerts, games or TV watching.
Relaxation
The Globe, located in the bottom level of McMillan Hall, is available for relaxing, studying ,
cooking, and eating. Monthly activities are held here for all international students. Hours are 10 am to 10 pm, closed on Sundays.
Health
Located on the top floor of Douglas Hall, the Wellness Centre is committed to physical, emotional and social health. A doctor and nurse is available if you have health questions or need immediate medical help or personal advice. The cost of this is included in your medical insurance. Hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to noon and 1;00 to 4;30pm.
Academic Support
All students have access to the Writing Centre on the upper floor of Douglas Hall. Here, qualified volunteers will work with you on written work, grammar, vocabulary, and other academic skills. You can sign up for an appointment on the sign-up sheet outside the door two 30 –minute appointments per week maximum. This service is free.
Transportation
The TWU Express is a shuttle(班车) service. The shuttle transports students between campus and the shopping centre, leaving from the Mattson Centre. Operation hours are between9am and 3pm. Saturdays only. Round trip fare is $1.

学情分析:
学生从初中进入到高一的学习,课堂知识容量增加,知识难度增加,要有一段时间的适应。
开学前3周进行了初中高中的重点单词和句子结构的衔接,效果不错。
对于Unit1 的学习,学生已经适应了教师的教学方式。
学生的英语基础不牢固,英语语感较差,还需要进一步提高,逐渐养成听说读写的良好习惯。
效果分析:

教材分析:
This lesson is taken from New Senior English for China Students Book1. This unit is to introduce the friendship to us. It focuses on friendship and tells us that a friend can not only be a human being but other things.
The reading passage is the center of this unit.It is the most important teaching material in this lesson,which contains most of the vocabularies and grammar points that students should learn.

基本按照预想的设计完成,学生的课堂表现不错,知识输入过程很顺畅。
学生在单词词组翻译句子中的练习运用得当。
对于阅读技巧的指导,学生反映比较好,可以很实用的用在考试阅读题中。
课堂最后的微课程的展示提高了学生课堂兴趣和效率,对情感升华有很大的帮助。
对于小组活动还需要进一步探索,课前的分组,课中的讨论和课堂提问没有很好的结合。
每位小组组长的职责发挥不理想,小组互助活动体现不充分,说明教师本身的课堂驾驭能力还需进一步提升,个人能力还需提高。
